“Does it seem like I'm faking my amnesia? You have been close with me for a few weeks now, have you noticed anything that indicates that I am my old selfl?”. I deliberately let my voice sound hurtful, low. This bitch Alyssa saw through my deceit, she did some good research. But Loraine has doubts and I make good use of that.
She was always by my side, not a day did she leave me even for a few minutes to visit her lover or others. That is totally a good sign, she devoted all her time and attention to me. Just a few more weeks and she's completely forgotten about that other man.
But of course, Alyssa had to reveal the matter early. She even knows I hired that detective.
But that’s not all. I also paid my treating doctor a large amount to adjust my medical data. Even more, I wonder how Alyssa knows my amnesia is fake. Maybe she's luring me into offering her money to keep this information out of the public eye.
I look up at Loraine who stares at me doubtfully. “Go to the doctor and ask him all about this. Please tell him that I have permitted you to read my medical record." With this sentence I see her regaining confidence in me. “No, we have to trust each other. And Alyssa is a master of twists. Let's leave the subject for what it is.” And with that, we're back to normal. I think.
“What do you want to do today, Danner? We've been here at the home for several weeks and you're doing well. Shall we go outside for a bit?”, Loraine sounds hopeful. She's been bummed for days between the walls, I can tell from her attitude that she really craves other company than medical staff.
“Let's go to the beach, enjoying the sun shining on our faces,” she suggests. I nod, she loves the outdoors and I need to distract her from Alyssa's accusations. We go back inside and pack all we need. She arranges the logistics with the hospital before our departure, and hand in hand we walk to the parking lot where her car waits. And then something occurs to me. “Honey, I shot your car to scrap. You will get a new one from me, a more expensive one of your choice”.
She smiles. “No Danner, you just gave me one last year. My garage is full. I had a brand-new Rolls Royce Sports a month ago. Nope, no more cars."
A Rolls Royce Sports, buzzes through my head.
She didn't tell me about that before. Is it her lover who gave her this car?
Hot jealousy shoots through me. Only Dordrich Fellogan can be that rich. I'm so sure Dordrich is lavishing to my betrothed. How I hate that man! He is married but doesn't seem to mind to go after my woman. I have to find a way to keep him out of the picture, get his attention back to his family. We stop along the way to purchase water and food.
Loraine chooses my favorite snacks, she goes to every extent to make me feel good. Agile when she is in traffic, we quickly drive onto the beach. On this side of the ocean, vehicles are permitted to be parked up to under the palm trees. We look for a suitable place where we can enjoy some privacy. We find a cool shaded spot and get out.
The wind is blowing sultry, the day is perfect. In a cozy atmosphere we set up our tent and throw ourselves on the blanket. With Loraine in my arms, my day can't get any better.
“Shall we take a dip? The waves are still small and the ocean fairly calm.” I nod and suddenly see her taking the bag to change behind a tree.
