THE END – Life!
Finally!
Mrs. Loraine Aziel Renegade. Nice to meet you all.
Aziel has just sworn his undying love for me in front of a hundred-strong crowd here in the Protestant congregation. Before the God we serve, he promised to always be there for me in good and bad times, share all my sorrows and joys, and never again hide his struggles from me.
Yes, we've had a rough time.
We both went through a deep hell, but God had mercy on us, we are resurrected and have overcome. And today we start a new episode in life. I’m Mrs. Renegade, the title I aspired to, dreamed of for a long time. And today it has all become a reality. I am the lawful wife of that wonderful, gorgeous man I saw standing by the pulpit waiting for me, who pulled me tenderly by the hand beside him. I love him, have told him so many times. There's only one secret left to share with him, and I'll do it tonight.
We are now walking into our reception, Kaylah has organized everything so wonderfully. All our friends are present, smiling broadly. The first notes of the music begin to play. Aziel takes me in his arms, actually too close to him. He should really take me by the hand to dance, making some circles or so. I also feel possessive about him, now that he's officially mine I want him close to me too.
“Angel, you are so beautiful. I still can't believe that after all these years of waiting, you're finally my wife," he whispers as his lips find mine. This is my favorite activity, kissing Aziel.
“Hey, turtle doves. There will be time in the bridal room later. Try to hold on until then," someone jokes. The night continued wonderfully, our friends did everything to make it an unforgettable event. Everything is perfect from the cake cutting ceremony to throwing my bouquet into the crowd of women.
“Aziel, I want to get some fresh air in the garden. I'll be right back," I tell my husband. He understands that I need some time to myself.
I walk onto the beach and sit on a bench under a palm tree. My mind drifts to the last three months. They were not easy, but we got through it with the help of our friends. Let me give you an update.
After Aziel arrived at the hospital that dreadful evening, we went through some emotional moments. In the end, we forgave each other for everything that went wrong, we own it as collective guilt. A week later I was released from the hospital. After that, Aziel and I made a list of things we need to tackle to make our lives easier. Clairy preached at the top, the Fellogans and then our own emotional struggles like the death of our children.
Yes, I learned that Dordrich died in a car crash the same day I was hospitalized. And when Aziel and I went to jail to talk to Clairy about the custody of the baby, we were shocked to learn that she had passed away. She had gotten into a fierce fight with a fellow inmate when she was seven months pregnant. The medics were barely able to save the child, but Clairy succumbed during the operation.
It's a girl, Aziel named her Shantel, after his grandmother. She was a week old when we saw her. Kenjal quickly arranged the documents and a week later we were able to take her home. So, we suddenly had two children. Don't worry, we can handle them well.
And after the official mourning period of Dordrich, the transfer of the Fellogan properties had to take place. Lorrich already owned the family businesses it was just the buildings where relatives lived. The handover took place without much drama after I reassured everyone that the situation remained unchanged. That took place at a family meeting where I represented Lorrich. I then left the legal handling of matters to Kenjal, who maintains contact with the family.
And Andre is now the general manager of the Fellogans Holding until Lorrich is of age and ready to take over. That works perfectly, Kenjal himself showed me the first financial report that looked particularly good. I think the family will happily collect their bi-annual dividend.
And yesterday, a day before our wedding, we went to the grave of our twins.
For a long time, I have put it off, an inner fear of being confronted with reality. The children's birth is something that I had kept in a mental corner for a long time. And all those tears we've shed there were so relieving! We embraced each other comfortingly in our children's grief and final goodbye.
We have closed this chapter and decided to focus now on the future—a new beginning.
And today is the first chapter, our dream wedding. My beautiful, sexy white dress with a deep line on the back expressed my waist well, the long train and veil. Lorrich happily hopping beside the flower girls, giving directions. Four girls from Damian, one from Kaylah and one from Michelle, all beautiful princesses in my train.
My life now runs like calm water.
I am now a stay-at-home mom until I decide how to move on in life. At least that's what my friends think. I have long made the decision that I will remain a housewife. I enjoy welcoming Aziel at the door every day with a kiss listening to him talking about his business. I feel like a real mother when Lorrich gets off the school bus and runs into my arms. And when I sing those beautiful songs to Shantel who smiles at me gratefully, my life is complete.
"Loraine, it's time to go." My husband takes me out of my musings. He takes my hand and pulls me against his chest.
The plan is that we are leaving with our yacht for our honeymoon with our children. Just floating on the sea or barbecuing on a desert island as we have done before. We have set aside two weeks for this and I already know that it will be weeks that we will never forget.
Instead of going back to the reception hall, we sneak up to the dock via the beach. When we reach our boat, we check whether the children are already sleeping there. Lorrich is an early sleeper and had already boarded after church. Now the nanny is still waiting with Shantel.
Aziel gives her a tip and she leaves. We go to the steering room and slowly sail out of the bay to the open sea. Aziel is at the wheel as I hang over his shoulder, my arms wrapped around his neck. After about an hour of sailing, Aziel drops anchor. It's our private time now.
"Angel, come." When I look into my husband’s eyes I see my desire reflecting. It's never different, our hunger for each other is unquenchable. As we walk to the bedroom, the clothes fall off. “Baby, you're so beautiful. You seem to glow more every day. I love you, my wife”. He puts me on the bed and lies between my spread legs. We're both in our underwear now.
“Aziel, I have something to tell you”, I whisper to him.
“I already know you love me, Loraine. Come on, lady, I long for you. The night is still young,” he says seductively. Slowly I pull his head towards me and whisper in his ear.
He stiffens first looks at me in surprise. His hand slowly travels to my stomach. “Are you sure, Angel? Oooh great God, thank you so much for this gift”.
And tenderly he shows me his love and gratitude.
Our lives can't get any better...
