To confess

In the arms of my friend Aziel, I walk back to his office.
We have much to discuss.
“Loraine, Mr. Fellogan signed the agreement of cooperation with us. He gives us full control of the mall, we just have to report to him personally about the projects we are carrying out and the progress. A meeting of the staff once every six months is his most important condition. We don't even have to ask for permission in advance for executing projects.”
So, Dordrich keeps his promises. Great! That's what I value most in all the relationships I maintain, business and social. I love him even more for this. My plan is working well.
“And how is our China contract going? Were we able to deliver? I want to keep and expand this relationship,” I tell him. Aziel is quite pleased with himself. “Well, Mr. Cheng has sent you a personal letter with his opinion on the progress. It's on your desk,” he lets me know. “We even delivered early, and the quality of our software was above expectations. I think Mr. Cheng underestimated us, he was quite surprised”. He smiles relaxed at the thought of the collaboration.
"You know, I want to buy some more stocks. Can you check if we still have enough space in our portfolio? Not only do we need to have enough funds, but also the right workers to manage the stocks we buy. I want an active presence in the companies, so buy many shares at once". Aziel thinks for a moment. Like me, he is very progressive but responsible for making investments. "What exactly do you have in mind? I can personally search if you want," he offers.
"Find the shares in Mr. Fellogan's companies. Now that we work with him, it can come in handy if we also have shares in his other businesses. We have to keep a good partner close, but also have a big stick in case it doesn't work out as expected. Equities give us more power". I look at him meaningfully, I'm sure he quickly understands what I mean. He nods, grinning.
We continue our meeting, also discuss some projects that we had worked out for the mall, promotions within the company that should facilitate the implementation of our plans. After we spend a few hours discussing and going through some contracts, I feel a hunger rising again. “Is the canteen still active, Aziel, or did you close the whole thing there, after the last fiasco?”, I ask dryly. “And why haven't I seen the company’s bitch yet? Have you finally fired her ass?”.
Aziel bursts out laughing. “It's unbelievable that the two of you can work together so well, but at the same time constantly at each other's throats,” he chuckles. “If you mean Kaylah, she has a day off. She visited the dentist and is recovering from her trauma from an extracted molar."
Doesn't surprise me, that person is afraid of anything that looks like a needle. Thinking sexually, I suspect for some time now that she is even a virgin, no man in his right mind dares to approach a woman with such a terrible temper. Not to think he's going to drop her pants for the act, she'd probably be screaming all over the neighborhood.
“Uhmm, Loraine”, Aziel suddenly starts seriously. His tone immediately grabs my attention, Aziel rarely speaks to me in this way and when he does it is indeed worth listening to. My eyes are fixated on him. “Just say it, Aziel”, I encourage him.
“What you saw this morning with Anne, there is really nothing going on between us. She's been trying to seduce me for months, but I've had enough now. I don't want her here anymore, maybe we should mutate her to the mall or something." I breathe a sigh of relief, I expected worse this trivial matter.
Not sure why Aziel is apologizing as it was clear to me what was going on. I’ve overheard the whole conversation. Does he want to assure me that he is not interested in other women then me or that he is not messing with the women in the workplace? "Aziel, I've heard everything, don't worry," I reassure him.
Again, I read relief on his face, my words clearly get him at ease. “How is Danner now? Is he still healing? I understand that his amnesia is the only thing standing in the way of his full recovery," Aziel now asks. “When are you coming back to work, Loraine? I miss you here. Not that I can't handle the workplace, but I want you around me again, beautiful."
“Danner is noticeably better. But there is something that concerns me”, I confide to Aziel. “That journalist came to us and claimed that Danner was faking his amnesia. Somehow she found out that I had left the penthouse when he got into my car.”
“You weren't in the penthouse with Danner? Then why was he driving like a madman that night, it was like he was venting his anger."
“Aziel, I broke off the engagement. Danner chased me out of his penthouse and then got into my car. I had left the car there the week before, now that I have the Rolls Royce," I confess to him. Aziel immediately jumps from his chair.
“Danner is out? No wonder he rushed to his death.” He pulls me into his arms and looks deep into my eyes. “Do you want to date me now, Loraine? You know we get along well. You often let me down to please Danner, but I'm only yours.”
I am shocked by his last words, they sound genuine and almost pleading. “Aziel, what are you saying? I broke off the engagement because I'm in love with someone else. To be honest, I finally had sex with a man, real sex”, I tell him, dreaming. I think back to Dordrich and me last night. The pained look in Aziel's eyes escapes me...
I Am Love, Mr. Billionaire!
