Insecure
Loraine has been in New York for three days now.
The acquisition of the shares, the various researches and studies, training for workers, and presentations to high staff require a great deal of energy. She is present at every staff meeting and encourages the employees at the beginning of every training.
Much to her delight, everyone is motivated to save the company. Especially in this period of global Covid-19 pandemic, nobody wants to lose their job and income. All the more the success of the transformation.
But between all the hustle and bustle, Loraine keeps thinking about Aziel. She knows by now that he must be close, and she continues to wonder why he doesn't come to her. His girlfriend is visiting, but Loraine thinks he could find some time to meet her. She decides to take the first step. Tonight she is going to visit him at home.
Loraine herself lives with Kaylah and Archer until her house is in order tomorrow. Because it was closed for a long time, a cleaning company had to tidy up and disinfect everything again. Today she’s moving into her own bungalow by the lake.
Kaylah drives her to her new home. When the women are in the car, Loraine can't take it any longer. “Kaylah, why isn't Aziel trying to meet me? I would love to see him. He must have heard from the media that I have arrived. Does he not want to see me anymore?” she asks desperately. Kaylah sighs deeply. She knows better but feels that the two should solve their private problems themselves. “Maybe he feels hurt that you haven't contacted him in recent years. You forget that he always stood up for you. You just lived a different life and pushed him to the side when he left the company,” her friend reminds her.
Loraine sinks deep in thought. Indeed, she made no effort to keep in touch with Aziel. She was hurt by his sudden departure and the announcement that he had a new girlfriend with whom he wanted to start a family. But that didn't happen, so she sees another chance for herself, at least if Aziel's feelings for her haven't changed over the years. Five years is a long time, and then there's Lorrich also. "I'm going to visit him tonight and see if I can find anything of our old friendship in him," she explains in her mind.
“That's a really good idea, the best I've heard in ages,” Kaylah encourages her. When the women arrive at the house, they first inspect the rooms. Loraine opts for the master bedroom and immediately dives into the bathroom to clean up. Meanwhile, Kaylah arranges the clothes she brought from Barbados in the walk-in closet. “Loraine, let's go shopping tomorrow afternoon. You need clothes, this is really not enough”, Kaylah insists. She only gets a stifled answer from the bathroom.
When Loraine walks out of the bath, Kaylah has a sexy open back one piece ready for her. The front hugs Loraine's full breasts and the fabric falls smoothly at the waist, hugging her slender legs. When she looks in the mirror she is satisfied with the result.
“Do you know what happened to my cars? Aziel hid them somewhere, but I don't remember exactly where," admits Loraine. Kaylah makes a phone call with one of Windrug&So's mechanics. Within an hour a brand-new Bugatti is parked at the door, Danner bought her this as a replacement for the one he smashed total loss.
Loraine knows exactly how to drive to Aziel's house. When she and Kaylah walk into the driveway where the cars are parked, a sense of insecurity came over her. “Kaylah, are you sure this is a good idea? Suppose he doesn't want to see me. Otherwise, he would have come to me a long time ago,” she says in despair. The woman now looks at her in surprise, this is the first time she sees Loraine insecure. Even when she received the news of her pregnancy, Loraine was sure she would give birth to her baby while everyone was skeptical. Meeting Aziel isn't nearly as important as deciding to let a baby change your whole life. Kaylah knows that whatever the case is that Aziel hasn't shown up yet, he'll never ignore or mistreat Loraine. The man has been crazy about Loraine for years, has sworn he will always love her.
“Loraine, I don't know what's stopping Aziel, but what I know for sure is that he won't hurt you. Aziel has loved you for years, sacrificed himself for you. I think he is waiting for you and will welcome you with open arms”, she reassures her friend. Loraine's face lights up with these words. After one last hug and she takes a seat behind the wheel. It's been years since she last drove a super-fast car, but the idea of meeting Aziel soon gives her a lot of spirits.
Slowly she goes up the highway towards downtown. She decides at a liquor store to buy Aziel's favorite wine so she at least has something in her hands when she knocks on his door.
It takes her at least twenty minutes to arrive at the house. Nothing has changed here, the houses that are far away from each other still look exactly like when she was here last time. When she hesitantly turns into Aziel’s driveway, her heart begins to beat like mad. His car is parked, indicating that he already arrived home. ‘What if he has visitors, planned to spend the evening with a woman?’, Loraine goes through. She remains in the car, unsure whether she will get out.
With a deep sigh, she gets out with the wine in her hand. When she stands in front of the door, it is thrown open with a jerk. Two blue marbles look straight into a pair of uncertain gray ones. Aziel grabs her by the shoulders and slowly pulls her in. Still staring at her, he takes the wine from her hand and places it on the nearest table. “My love, at last, the wait is over. It drove me crazy!” he whispers at her lips.
