Please Move On
With the arrival of Aziel, a balance arises in our circle of friends.
We extended our stay in Saint Lucia for another two days and I have to say that I have never had so much fun before. Aziel made me see a different side of him, he is so much fun and personable. And although I keep seeing ladies flirting with him when I'm at a distance, he always made it clear to everyone that I belong with him. His hand is constantly stroking my back or intertwined with mine.
I know he longs for me and now that I've already lost my virginity, he won't settle for superficial sex anymore. But I'm not ready yet to be intimate with another man in that way after Dordrich.
Today we returned from Saint Lucia and I must say that I am dead tired of all the wild things we did there. I've had the time of my life and now I'm back to basics. Aziel will return to New York this evening as well. He too looks tired after all that nighttime life.
But I want to discuss some business with him before he leaves. “Aziel, shall we go to the study? We need to discuss some matters.” When we get there, we sit opposite each other at the desk. “Listen, I asked you some time ago to look for shares of all Dordrich companies on the stock exchange. The report you gave me, did you elaborate on that? I want more of his shares. You have to check whether we are not jeopardized with our liquidity”, I tell him.
Anger appears on his face. “Do you want to stalk him now, Loraine? It's gone wrong, why don't you get on with your life and forget about Dordrich? It's over!" he says tightly. I take a deep breath so as not to lose my composure myself. “This is pure business. Before he gifted me the remaining shares of the mall, we had already bought from his other companies. And they're lucrative ones, I've been checking on them lately. And the shares are bearer, so not registered in the name so he won’t know who own them”.
Aziel looks at me incredulously. “Okay, how much do you want to buy? There is still a little space in our budget”, he finally sighs helplessly. We discuss some business of the company until it is almost time for him to leave. As we walk into the sitting room where his suitcase is, he turns to me uncertainly. “Loraine, Dordrich came looking for you at the office. He refused to believe that you left for an unknown destination. He even tried with some staff members to find out where you are, bribing them" Aziel confesses wearily. “I have to let you know about this. What are you going to do with this information? Are you going to contact him and tell him where you are?"
I feel a stiff neck coming on. “The only people who know where I am are you and Kaylah. And I want to keep it that way. I have to move on and our relationship would already lead nowhere, so it’s better this way" I sigh. Aziel's eyes light up. “I'm glad you realize it now. Try to get back to your old self soon, I know you can do it if you want to”.
“Shall we take a short walk along the beach before you leave? It will do us both good to relax for a while”, I suggest. We take a quick bath and walk up to the beach hand in hand. It is already getting dark and the few guests are starting to break up.
"Aziel!", someone suddenly screams from a distance. When we turn around, we see Clairy, Abi's granddaughter who has a heavy crush on Aziel, running toward us. When she’s in front of us, I wait for her to greet me too, but she never does. Instead, she plunges herself into Aziel's arms. I still hold his hand tightly so that she can only hang on to his body without his support.
Aziel removes her hands from his neck and takes a step back.
“Hello Clairy, how are you?” he greets her formally. She’s shocked, looking at him stiffly. “G… g.. good”, she stutters, clearly not expecting Aziel to resist her. “In the future, if you see me with my girlfriend, I forbid you to touch me. And if you ignore her, you don't have to acknowledge me either. Did I make myself clear?!" Aziel lets her know in a low tone. Her eyes widen with humiliation, she starts walking a few steps backward, turns to run down the beach home.
I shake my head pitiful.
Such a young age and already playing dirty adults’ tricks!
However, her behavior makes me realize that Aziel exerts a great attraction on women. “Aziel, this is the second woman I've seen in your arms in a week. What about when you're in New York, far from me? I've never noticed you had so many admirers before. Or are they after me, are they trying to show me that I'm worthless now that I've left New York?”.
Aziel looks at me strangely. “Well, Loraine, it's something between you women. Maybe they let you know that they love what you can't appreciate.” That's a premise I hadn't thought of. Flirtatiously, I now lean against his chest and raise my head coquettishly to his face. “Maybe it's time I claim you now?”.
Aziel suddenly picks me up bridal style and walks home while our lips locked.
“I love you, Loraine,” he whispers. “Just try to get over your heartbreak quickly so we can start our life together. I'm waiting for you, want you so badly”.
That's the best I've heard in days. I also want to move on and I am sure that Aziel is my best option. But my heart still aches from the loss of Dordrich and my dignity is bruised...
