Protect Her
Aziel
I can feel it on my big toe that a storm is brewing.
I've been following the news closely, the police have strong evidence that Elena Fellogan's car accident was deliberately staged. And I know where the investigation will go as an attempted murder case. I tried to persuade Loraine to go on vacation with me, that would sweep away any suspicion on her. But she refused, so I have to think of something else to save her from this unsavory affair that could destroy her reputation permanently.
Because now that it is known that she has an extramarital affair with Dordrich, it is inevitable that she will become the prime suspect. The media reports must also have given the judiciary something to think about and she also went to the sickbed of the man's wife last night. Loraine doesn't realize that her behavior is extremely suspicious, she acts out of mindless love without considering the dangers.
This whole thing will end to her detriment if I don't intervene. A simple analysis points to her as a potential perpetrator or the one who hired a hitman. Loraine has every interest in Elena Fellogan disappearing so she can take her place in Dordrich's life. No one is going to give her the benefit of the doubt, homewreckers are spurned by the community par excellence.
My prime suspect is Danner.
That madman is dangerously obsessed with Loraine, he has always controlled her life. Danner settled himself into Loraine's life, pushing away everyone who cares about her and making herself indispensable. He managed to lure her into an engagement, intending to possess her completely. But Loraine was able to break free of his grip when she fell in love with Dordrich. And now Danner feels threatened.
He saw the strong connection between the two, must also have known that Dordrich spoils her quite a bit. Didn't she tell me earlier that he bought her a penthouse and the latest car model? That Rolls Royce I retrieved for her from the parking lot is a copy of the one Dordrich drives himself. He shows his love for her extravagantly.
So, Danner thinks he is smart. A direct attack on Dordrich would be far too conspicuous, I suspect he wants to distract the man towards his family so that Loraine comes back to him in her solitude.
But then he didn't count on me.
For years I've waited patiently for Loraine to mature, get over her wild side, and then make my move the moment she was ready to settle. Our relationship started rocky, I was too young and inexperienced to please her. I hadn't met a woman like her before who wanted sex in a different way. Loraine is demanding and at that time I still had a lot to learn to meet her demands. But just as I was making progress on that front, Danner cut me off and forbade Loraine from continuing the relationship with me.
I didn't resist, knowing she wasn't ready to be my wife yet. I watched her from a distance, kept my eye on her, and became her faithful friend. Of course, I took the chance to remind her of our intimacy by kissing her passionately when she was in the mood. She never refuses, more often she’s the one initiating our intimacy, which proves that she feels good to me. She loves to be in my arms, cuddle with me.
And then that one afternoon after the mall opened. My Goodness!
I didn't realize that one word would make her so horny, unleash another side of her personality. That one word gave me a maddening experience, the BDSM club we dived into had all the attributes she needed to let her imagination run wild on me. It shocked me at first, it was wilder than I thought, but I let her enjoy being the Boss even outside of work hours. It was fantastic!
And now I must save her from the danger that looms. Created by the one she trusts.
I refuse to believe that Danner wanted to harm her, that bastard, in his carelessness has not taken into account that Loraine could be a suspect in an attack on Dordrich's family. He is so short-sighted and often allows himself to be led by his aggressiveness. This attitude has many times gotten him into trouble in the past.
Nothing can dissuade me from thinking that Danner orchestrated this all, he paid these men to collide into Dordrich’s wife’s car. But I too sometimes use underworld dudes, not to eliminate rivals, but to conduct small investigations that usually cannot be done by men in coat and tie. And I know how they operate, I clearly recognize this method here.
I grab my phone and call my old school friend David. A dropout who tries to survive in life after his young parents die in a fatal car accident before making any financial arrangements for him. With small assignments, I was able to stop him from ending up in hard crime and also gave him some well-paid clients. He is still grateful to me for that.
“David”, I greet him as soon as he answers my call. "Are you all right?"
I hear a happy laugh on the other end. “Yeah man, very well in fact. I met the woman of my dreams", he happily tells me. “I intend to turn my activities into an official business. Formal and legal. My girlfriend wants a family, but only if we can give our children some security.” I'm seriously happy for him, he's a good person but fate wasn't really in his favor. “Well done, man. That's a damn good idea. Congratz”, I compliment him. “So, with this assignment that I'm giving you now, I'll get a quote and an invoice?”, I still joke.
We both laugh about it. “Not yet, but soon”, he promises, not really convinced. And then I tell him the story and my suspicions. I want to gather hard evidence that keeps Loraine out of prison, so I ask David to collect as much as possible. David also knows Danner, he has refused some of his orders because of the atrocity of it. He also knows the men Danner eventually works with. He promises to report to me soon.
Reassured, I end the call. Now I have to follow everything around this case closely...
