**Jazz POV:**
"Okay, so let me get this straight. Last night Cleo and Vintage were in the kitchen, finger-fucking. His ex-girlfriend, who can't come to terms with the fact that she is in fact an ex, caught them. And Cleo attempted to leave but didn't," Jazz said, summarizing my summarization.
"Yup, babe, you summed up my summary of what Valenzano told me," I said, rubbing her lower stomach.
I couldn't believe what he was telling me. I am happy and sad for Cleo. She finally let her guard down after two years, and she ended up being disappointed. I need to talk to her and explain the situation. I know right now she must feel like shit and disappointed in herself.
"West, I will talk to her and explain everything. But Cleo doesn't like drama and it is going to be difficult because she doesn't know Valenzano is her mate," Jazz said, which is reasonable.
"I told my brother to tell her as soon as possible, and maybe things would get better and she would open up to him," I say with hope.
"He can't tell her now. Her being caught in her feeling may cause her to reject him," I say, worried and shaking my head. I finished my bath, and as soon as I got out, my phone rang. I looked, and it was Mr. Mark calling.
"Good morning, Jazz. Sorry to bother you early in the morning," he says, sounding stressed.
"No problem, Mr. Mark. How is everything with the building?" I wonder when we can go back.
"That's what I am calling you about. The building damage is not as bad on the side where your apartment is, but it is bad near the entrance. The contractor said it will take 30 days to stabilize and repair the building." He said we finished our conversation. I feel bad but happy at the same time.
"The Moon Goddess must love your brother," I turned and said to West.
"Why, what happened? Who was that on the phone?" he asked.
"It was Mr. Mark; he was giving me an update on the building fire damage. He said it would be 30 days before the building is repaired and Cleo and I can go back home," he said excitedly.
"You guys will be staying here with us for a month," he is so excited.
"I am staying, but I am not sure if Cleo will agree to stay after what happened last night," I said with a frown.
"Go talk to her, Valenzano, and I will make you guys' breakfast," and with that, I went to Cleo's room.
**Cleo POV: **
A knock on the door woke me up, and I hope it is not Valenzano or Vintage. I don't want to face them after last night.
"Cleo, are you awake? Open the door, please." Yes, it's Jazz. I opened the door, and as soon as I looked at her, I started to cry.
"Cleo...shhh, it's okay. It is going to be okay," she says as I fall into her arms.
"N...N...NO, it's not; you have no idea what happened last night," I say as I cry harder.
"I do know what happened," she says. I looked up at her in horror. I am so ashamed and embarrassed; we walk to the bed and sit. I stop crying and attempt to talk, but I can't utter a word.
"West told me what happened last night. He explained to me who that woman was and what she wanted. And just trust me, it is not what you think," she says, rubbing my back in an attempt to comfort me.
"Then tell me what West explained to you." I'm still sounding emotional as hell.
I don't understand why I feel hurt, embarrassed, and disappointed. I did nothing wrong. If Valenzano is in any type of relationship, she should have been man/wolf enough to tell me. Jazz explained what West explained to her. I don't know what to think about the information she gave me. Not sure if I should believe it or not.
West could be covering for his brother. I just met him and his brother. I am not sure if I should believe his words or not. Jazz seems to believe West; then again, she is supposed to because she is his mate.
When we were done talking, I thought about the information she gave me and thought about last night. Vintage didn't act like he was caught cheating; he didn't try to hide me. He actually turned and looked at her while I was still in his arms.
And the woman didn't act like she had caught her man cheating. He did try to explain to me she was an ex-girlfriend and started to feel a little relaxed, but I still wonder if she is an ex. How long ago did she become an ex? Still, I can't wait to go home and put this whole ordeal behind me.
"There is something else I need to tell you," she says, interrupting thoughts.
"What?" I asked.
"Mr. Marked called and said the building will be fully repaired in 30 days, so we will have to stay here," he said, and my heart skipped a beat.
"WHAT.... JAZZ I CAN'T STAY HERE FOR 30 DAYS," I say franticly. I now regret selling my house and giving away all my other property.
"Jazz, I am going to stay at a hotel," I mumbled after realizing I was screaming at her.
"No, you're not West already said it was okay for us to stay. And you don't want to offend my mate, do you?" she asked, pleading with me.
"He is not the Alpha, so he can't make that decision. You're his mate, so Valenzano has no choice but to allow you to stay. I am not sure if he wants me to stay, and I am not sure I want to stay," I said in shame.
"He will allow you to stay. And you will stay because I don't want you to leave me," she says, sounding so sure the Alpha will let me stay.
"Did he at least like Valenzano?" I asked nervously.
"I am not sure, but they are downstairs right now making breakfast. Let's go. I know you are hungry," she says, dragging me out of the room to the kitchen.
