**Stephan POV: **
During lunch, Seth asked me to meet him in his office afterward. I mentally roll my eyes this man watches his mate cut off balls and how he wants to have a meeting. I know Windsor was one of my pack members but he deserved what he got. After lunch, I went to meet up with Seth to find out what he wants. He looks stressed about something and I know my brother if he is stressed about something it has been on his mind for a long time.
“Stephan, have you noticed how Sol looks at Bastet?”, he asked.
“I did notice, Seth you have to understand how she feels she was waiting for you. The day after she gave herself to you, you found your second chance mate”, I explain.
“I don’t understand her problem with Bastet?”, he questioned.
“What you two in her gossiping about now?”, Morton said as she walked the office.
“Your sister trying to figure out why she dislikes Bastet”, Seth said and I see Morton avoid him.
“I don’t know her problem with her either. Our courting has been good, we haven't had sex but we have been getting close. So she should be over you”, I said with a shrug.
“Well, if you know something spilled”, I said to Morton.
“I am sure everyone noticed that Bastet was born with a permanent tan”, Morton said.
“Hell, yeah she sexy as fuck. Her Mahagony skin, curly hair that is begging for a hand to run through it”, I said then Seth growled at me. I haled my hands up in surrender.
“Wait, so you are saying that Sol dislikes her because of her skin color? I can't believe that the two of you weren’t raised like that”, Seth said shocked.
“It's more to it. Sol had a mate who rejected her for a woman who was carrying his pup. The woman was born with a permanent tan as well”, Morton said grabbing a drink.
“Now, are we talking about colored women or colored people?”, Seth asked.
“Colored women”, Morton said.
“Why the man rejected her because of the pup, not because of the woman”, I said.
“I am not sure, but I noticed every time we go out and she sees a man with an African American woman she gets pissed”, Morton said.
“I never noticed that when we went out”, Seth said.
“That's because you weren't that interested in her Seth. She was just a means to an end”, Morton said.
“I have a lot of black people in my pack and most of them are black women”, I said.
“The correct term is colored”, Seth said.
“What are we in the sixties?”, I asked Seth.
“The correct terms are black or African American”, Morton said.
“Does it even matter? Since black wolves' lives matter no matter if we called them colored, black, or African American”, I said to them.
“Could it be that she feels history is repeating itself you know? In her eyes a woman of color took her fated mate from her...blah.....blah”, I said.
“I am not sure if you are serious about being with her, please don’t tell her if you have been with a woman of color. She will be pissed off and might shoot you”, Morton said worriedly.
“Damn it's that bad?”, Seth asked shocked.
“I have been with a lot of women most of them are women of color so what. But I will keep it to myself”, I said with a shrug.
“Maybe she needs done dick, Stephan please give it to her. If I see how she looks at Bastet, Bastet can see it as well”, he said with a laugh.
“Gross, I am right here and you are talking about my sister”, Morton said.
“Well, your sister might be a racist and we can't have that in a Luna, especially on who is going to be mated to Stephan. Also, that will cause an issue with Bastet and we know how her temper is”, Seth said.
“Ok so tonight I am going to dick her down tonight and claim her”, I said with pride.
“Again, fucking gross”, Morton said.
“You know damn well your sister is far from a virgin, like far, far, far”, I said with a laugh.
“Not, cool Stephan”, Seth said.
“Shit Seth your mate is far from a virgin too. And let's not talk about Sherry”, I said with a louder laugh.
“Really, Stephan”, Seth said.
“Look, it seems like I am the only one that is okay with the woman in our lives are not pure as the driven snow. They have been driven over already”, I kept laughing as they both growled.
I took my leave and thought about the situation. Damn, Sol and I do need to talk I like Bastet and I just got my brother back her hating Bastet will cause us issues we don’t need. When I left, I realized I had less than five hours to plan something for Sol that is romantic. I googled some nearby human restaurants and one stood out. I made reservations, ordered flowers, and called the tailor to get me a suit. I also ordered a hair and make-up stylist to get Sol ready as well. Then I texted her my plans.
*Me: I am taking you out for dinner be ready at 7 pm.
Sol: Okay? What should I wear?
Me: Something sexy.
Sol: Okay see you at 7. *
After texting Sol, I made my way to the tailor for my suit. When I walked in, I see him working on my suite for tonight. I must say it's nice it is charcoal grey, with silk lining on the jacket. I tried it on and it fit like a glove, he even made me a black silk shirt to go with it. Damn, I look good and I know Sol will look better. I even stop by a jewelry store and got her canary diamond earrings. I have two hours until seven I go to my side of the pack land and check up on how the pack house is coming up. When I arrived, men were still working.
Seth and I thought that having a twenty-four-hour shift for the building would be a great idea. So, a mixture of his men and mine are building the pack house as well as privet housing for families. It's coming along great most of the family housing is done. After looking around I go and wash and change at Seth's house. When I was doing I waited downstairs for Sol. She walked downstairs wearing a floor-length halter top black silk dress, with chrisom red shoes.
I know Sol is my mat but she does not compare to Yvette or Terry. Most would expect a wolf to be head over heels for their mate. But since I rejected Sol our mate bond will have to be rebuilt. She does look beautiful. Hopefully, we will be okay. Hopefully, I can get over Yvette and Terry. Two women that were never meant to be mine.
