***Robert POV:***
It had been weeks since my meeting with Avaya. I had been notified that Jazz and her mate had come back from a trip. I would have preferred to launch an attack without the Beta being there. Even though Jazz hates me, I don't want her hurt in the crossfire or while trying to protect Cleo. I get a text saying Avaya is out front and wants access. I grant it to her.
"Avaya, it's been a while", I said with a smirk.
"Hello Hunter, and yes it has I have been getting insight into Valenzano and his pack. And what have you been doing while I was gone", she says as she sits down.
"The same," I said.
"When do you want to attack", I asked.
"As soon as possible", she says as I grab a roll of paper and unroll it on top of my desk.
"And what is that?", she asked.
"It's a map of the pack lands and blueprints of the castle", I say.
"I don't need to say that. I know where all the secret passageways are and I know the pack lands”, she says, sounding cocky.
"Well, do you know that the old emergency exit from the bunker leads into this camp before they made the new one facing the other way", he asked with a grin.
"That is interesting", she says as she pours her a drink.
"And the best part is that we laced the whole tunnel with wolfbane so no werewolf could enter it. Even if they find the tunnel, they won't go in because the wolfbane will cover my team's scent.
"Good plan....when do you want to expedite it", she says with a smirk. I know she has no plan to leave Cleo alive and I will just have to make sure she doesn't kill her.
"I want to reason with Cleo first and see if she will come willingly”, I said with confidence. Cleo still loves me I know it and she knows it.
"THIS IS MUCH BIGGER THAN THAT BITCH", if that wasn't a confirmation of how she feels about Cleo, I don't know what it is.
"Calm down", I said.
"I am calm", she said.
"if you listen to me. We both will get what we want in the end", I said.
"Our focus should not just be on her", she said whinning like a baby.
"I know it is. But think about it what will hurt Valenzano more, taking his mate or him knowing she willingly left him. It's a win-win for us. I get Cleo and you get to hurt Valenzano than help him pick up his pieces", I watch as the realization hits her.
"You are smarter than I thought, Robert...that is an excellent idea. How do you plan on getting to her?", she asked.
"I have a plan in place...I will notify you if it doesn't work", I say as I excuse her.
Avaya is so sure she will be with that Alpha after all of this. I can promise that will not happen. For Cleo to be fully free from him he needs to be dead. She need to have no one but me left to love her. We will start over. She will depend on my love again. And I will happily be her hero. I will make every wrong I have done to her right again.
My plan is simple. I have someone watching Cleo and Jazz's apartment. I figured that since her intention was to only go to the ceremony, she would have to go back to her place for some of the stuff she needed.
Assuming she goes by herself, I will be able to get her alone and talk to her. If I can't reason with her, I will use her fear against her. I know it's wrong, but I got to do what I got to do. Even thought there is a possiblity that Jazz will be with her. I will still make my move. I will not hurt Jazz I will just knock her out. Maybe with a tranq or a hit onthe back of her head. Something that willnot hurt her. I would not want Cleo to be mad at me for hurting her best friend. I would rather she came willingly than have to take her by force. I know Cleo and when she is mad she is a force to be reckoned with.
I remember when I first found her. She was dirty. Covered in blood and dirt. I shook her awake. When she woke she attacked me. Cleo put me on my ass. I think i was in lover with her after that. Even though she was under age I still feel for her. She was alone and had no one. I took her in educated her, trained her, and loved her. The day she became of age she became mine. I became her everything and she became mine.
I was a fool to have left her the way I did. I put duty before my love for her. I was wrong, I was dumb, and now I have to fight extra hard to get her back. Cleo is worth it. Our love is woth it. And in time we will have out own children. She will forget about that fucking animal. And we will be back to how it we use to be.
"Sir, Commander McKee called again. He said he want a report sent to him of your progress", Paris said to me.
"Okay, the report will be made as soon as can get to it. I want a you to make sure Avaya is gone", I said.
"Yes, Sir. Will you like for me to have some men to patrol the area?", he asked.
"Yes, do that. As a matter of fact I want it done four times a day in four hour shifts starting tomorrow. But for now start at 1pm, 5pm, 9pm, , and 1am", I ordered.
