**Cleo POV: **
"Cleo wake up", I here Jazz whisper in my ear.
"NO, I want to sleep. Go away Jazz", I said, tried as hell.
"Cleo wake up", she demanded.
"What do you want Jazz?", I asked, annoyed.
"What are you talking about Jazz?", all I want to do is sleep. It's clear she is not going to let me stay in this bed all day.
"The guys are taking us out", she said with a smile.
"Why?”, that’s weird Vintage nor Valenzano did not tell me we were leaving today.
"Really Cleo, they are our mates. They don't need a reason to take us out. Now, get up, we need to go shopping and get our hair and nails done", Jazz said excitedly.
"I am just going to tell Valenzano I want to stay at home", knowing if I told him he wouldn't make me go. I really don't want to leave the bed.
"Well, it's not Valenzano that is taking you out. Vintage is", Jazz said. Damn it, I do miss spending time with Vintage.
"Okay, I am up", I said as I got up and walked to the bathroom.
After my shower, I get dressed in leggings and a chestnut-colored tunic with riding boots. I love Fall. We sit and eat. I wonder where we are going tonight. I am sure Vintage will make sure it's safe for me and the babies.
"Where are we going tonight anyway?", I asked Jazz.
"Honestly, I don't know where. West said just that we are going out. Nothing fancy, just out since it's been a while since we all spent time together", she explained.
"Ok so no need to dress up", I have been feeling self-conscious about my body since the pregnancy.
"Nope, but we are going to the spa. Vintage thought you might need a day to relax", she says.
Our first stop is shopping. There is a lovely boutique here that I just love. We walked inside and I saw the most beautiful dress. It was black knee-length. The sleeves were see-through with gold stars on the cuffs. There are also gold stars all around the bottom of it. The dress can be worn for a fancy dinner or a night out, depending on the shoes. I will wear my black riding boots with them. At least the black will hide my growing stomach. Next, we headed to the spa.
Vintage and his protectiveness booked the whole spa. Even though we are on pack lands he still wants to protect us. Once at the spa, we were greeted by the whole staff, and they bow in respect to their Luna and female Beta. We started with a message. I got a special pregnancy massage while Jazz got a hot stone massage.
Next was my hair. I have kept it with its natural curls since being here. I think a change will be nice. I decided on getting a blowout and a trim with a slight curl at the end. This pregnancy has done wonders for my skin and hair. My hair is now to my mid-back and my skin is glowing like crazy. Since we were relaxing in the pool, I asked Jazz the question I'd been wanting to ask since I accepted Valenzano and me to be mates.
"Jazz", I called her.
"Yeah, wuz up", she responds with her eyes still closed.
"Can I ask you a question?", I asked nervously.
"Sure", she says with a shrug.
"How much time do you spend with August", she turns and looks at me.
"What do you mean?", she asked.
"What I mean is, do you spend a lot of time with August? And, if so, how often", I asked, wondering if she spends an equal amount with West and August.
"Well, when I want to spend time with August, I ask him. And when he wants to spend time with me, he takes over. Why?", she asked.
"I feel like I haven't spent as much time as I would like with Vintage", I said shamefully.
"Have you talked to Valenzano about it?", Jazz asked.
"No, the problem is, I think I feel like I am closer to Vintage than Valenzano", I said, feeling a little bad.
"How is that even possible when you have been with Valenzano first?", she asked, confused.
"I think it is because Vintage has been straightforward with me from the jump. And there's something about him I can't shake. Ever since I got back, I have been longing for Vintage. I love Valenzano. I don't want him to think I prefer Vintage over him", I said. Not understanding why, I feel the way I am feeling.
"You should talk to him about it Cleo. If he doesn't know he can't fix it”, she said, giving me good advice.
While driving back home, I thought about the advice Jazz gave me. I will talk to Vintage and/or Valenzano once I see them. Tired as ever, I tied my hair up and took a nap. God, these babies are tiring me out. The only time I have energy is when I am with Valenzano or Vintage. Deep into my nap, the babies started moving more like playing soccer in my damn stomach.
"Easy in there pups", I hear Vintage say as I wake up.
"Hey, Vintage, when did you get in", I asked, still a little sleepy.
"I have been here for about an hour, Cleopatra. Did the pups wake you?", he said, then inhaled my scent.
"Yeah, but more like hunger did", I say as I giggle.
"I figured you were hungry", he says, as he sits a tray of food on the bed.
"Vintage I need to talk to you", I said, not sure how he would take this conversation.
"We can talk after you eat my Luna", he says as he stuffs my mouth with eggplant. He can be so bossy at times it drives me nuts.
"Okay, I am finished. Can we talk now?" I said, wanting to get this conversation going.
"What is bothering you, my Luna?", he asked so lovingly.
"Since I have been back. I've been wanting to be with you all the time. It's like I am longing to be with you and not Valenzano", that sounds really messed up.
"Is that so?", he stands up and looks at me with curiosity.
"It's not like I love one more than the other. I love you both the same", I said, making sure they knew that.
"It is nothing to worry about, my Luna. We know you love us. The longing you feel for me is actually my fault", he said.
"What, how so?", now I am confused. He seems to know.
"When we used the Alpha tone to make you stop leaving. We were talking to the pups and not you. It wouldn't have worked on you because, as my Luna, you are my equal”, okay I am still confused. "But it made me stop", I said.
"The pups made you stop. My Alpha tone worked on them. They are my pups but not my equals. Even the little Alpha in there has to obey my commands. I am their father, and I will always outrank them. As my father will me", he explains.
"Okay, but how does that explain my longing for you?", I asked.
"It's not you that wants me to be around, it's the pups. They are aware I am their Alpha and when you are not feeling well or upset, they look for me for protection as their Alpha and father", I felt so relieved.
"That makes sense. I have been feeling like this ever since you used the tone. I just don't want Valenzano to think I don't love him as much as you”, I said totally relieved.
"Cleopatra, you have nothing to worry about. I and Valenzano knew this was going to happen. But we did what we needed to do to keep you from leaving", he says as he kisses me.
"So, let me get this straight. You can't command me, but you can command the babies and they can make me listen", what the hell. Only he will find a loophole.
"That is correct my love", she said, then kissed me.
"Vintage, you can't do that again. You can't use our children to make me listen to you", I said, trying not to get frustrated with him. Vintage is straightforward. Either you listen to him, or you listen to him, no in-between.
"I won't as long as you listen", Vintage can be such an asshole. I took a deep breath, not wanting to go off.
"No, you won't Vintage whether I listen to you or not. If I am to be your Luna and your equal, you must treat me like one", I said, looking into his eyes.
"You are right, my love, and I will take your concerns into consideration. Meanwhile, start getting ready to leave", he says as he walks out of the room. I can't believe he just dismissed my feelings. I will talk to Valenzano about this.
I do what I am told and get ready. However, I would rather stay in tonight. I start with a bath, then get dressed. This outfit looks amazingly classy but not too casual or dressy. No makeup today, only black lipstick with gold overlay. I make my way downstairs where Vintage, Jazz, and West are waiting for me.
"Cleopatra, you look beautiful", Vintage says with a low growl.
"Thanks", I replied with a giggle.
"Okay, since we are already, let's go", he said.
