**Robert POV: **
Today is the day I will get my wife back. Avaya still does not know I know about the funeral. I am glad that McKee is here, his team will make sure Avaya doesn't double-cross me. Avaya and I go over the plan once again.
Her rogues will attack as a distraction. The minute Cleo's hour of isolation is over, they will attack. My team will take Cleo half an hour into her isolation. It will give us enough time to get away without anyone knowing she is gone.
Using the drome to watch the wedding my heartache because Cleo looks happy. I heard a growl and looked at Avaya. She had a look of disgust and hate on her face. We leave as we see Cleo and Alpha leave for the house. Unfortunately, we cannot drive there because they will hear the cars. Instead, we walk to our positions.
I had ordered a car parked at the entrance of the tunnels some time ago. Hopefully, it is waiting and will run when I try to start it. Once everyone is in position, I set my timer for thirty minutes. And Avaya sets hers for fifty-five minutes, while McKee sits on the back burner watching Avaya.
The wait was excoriating. It seemed like time wasn't moving fast enough, every time I looked at my watch, time seemed to be standing still. Finally, my timer goes off, I split my team into. I take a point and we enter through the old tunnel. Dan follows, Steve is walking behind us and is spraying silver mixed with wolfsbane to cover our scent. The rest of the team is guarding the vehicle and, keeping a lookout, I slowly push the passageway door open and use the map to find our way through the tunnels to the master suite.
The tunnel we took bore us to a door that led into the closet of the master suite. I told my men to halt while I made sure the coast is clear. The sight of my wife laying peacefully on the bed with her ass in the air. She is a sight to behold. I signal the men to enter the room. Dan hands me the medic kit that has the sedative in it. As I walk up to her, she starts to stir, she turns around and is shocked to see me.
"Robert, what are you doing here?", she asked, confused. Before she could mind link anyone, I injected her with the sedative.
" The package is secure. We are leaving through the new tunnels now", I said to McKee via radio.
"No movement from Avaya as of yet", McKee said.
"Keep an eye on her, she should be attacking in about ten minutes", I said.
Dan and I carried Cleo out. She is heavy. I am glad I brought some help. Steve continued to spray behind us. Once out of the tunnel, I let out a breath that I didn't realize I was holding. We gently put her in the car. Thank God it started. It's an electric car, so it doesn't make noise. I radioed McKee telling him we were on our way to the point. My other timer goes off and now Avaya should have her team attack.
**Valenzano POV:**
"So how does it feel to be married and mated with pups on the way", dad asks.
"It feels great. I am glad I waited. She is everything I need and then some", I said with a smile.
"Are you okay bro?", West asked. I am not. I have an uneasy feeling.
"I just can't wait to get my mate back in my arms. It seems like this hour is taking forever", I said.
"I felt the same way about your mother. We didn't leave our room for three days after our ceremony", dad said.
"Aww, gross dad", West said.
"I am sure if she wasn't pregnant with Valenzano I would have put five pups in her", he says with a laugh.
"Our son doesn't want to hear about our sexual adventures my dear", mom said with a smile. I smell a stench that could not be mistaken for authoring of things other than what is.
"ROGUES", the four of us said.
And sure, enough they started running towards everyone. I mind link the warriors guarding the house. They said there is no rogue's insight. I told them to stay on guard and no one goes in the house unless it is me, West, Jazz, mom, or dad. Since Cleo is safe, I can focus on the fight at hand.
Jazz and mom take the women and children who cannot help in the safety bunker underground. I order everyone to form a three-ring circle around the parameter. The first circle is the Alphas, the second circle are the Betas, and the third circle is the warriors.
The three of us ran into the house to my room. I howled in pain when I saw she was not in the bed. Dad searches the house and doesn't find her. I shift back and I feel a breeze coming from somewhere. Taking a piece of paper, I ripped it up and threw it in the air and the pieces flew west.
Dad and West shift and look at me confused as I walk to the closet the secret passageway door is cracked open. When I opened it smelled of silver and wolfbane? That can only mean one thing that fucking hunter took my mate.
"I AM GOING TO KILL THAT FUCKING HUNTER", I yelled.
"What hunter? And where is Cleo?", dad asked.
"Long story short dad, Cleo's ex-husband is a hunter. And Valenzano thinks he took her and by the smell of it he did. Now Valenzano is going to kill everyone he comes across.", West said.
"WAIT.... WHAT?! CLEO'S EX-HUSBAND IS A HUNTER AND I AM JUST NO KNOWING ABOUT THIS", dad said with anger.
"THAT'S NOT THE FUCKING POINT DAD! HE HAS MY MATE AND MY PUPS. AND I WANT THEM BACK!", I said as I punched the wall.
"Watch your tone boy. There is no blood around, so she is not hurt or injured", dad said.
"Dad is right he wants her so he won't hurt her or the pups", I can't believe they are calm I am ready to rip both of their fucking heads off.
"First thing first we need to handle this rogue attack. So, take your anger out on them. The hunter and the rogues are working together. There is no coincidence they attached the sometimes she was taken" dad said.
In rage I let Vintage take over and we rip through all of the rogues. I ordered that I want one alive to question. It took about fifteen minutes before all, but one rogue was dead. The injured were taken to the pack hospital. While the others burn the bodies and help the women and children out of the bunker.
"Is Cleo, okay I tried mind linking her, but it is blank", Jazz says crying.
"Babe, Cleo was taken by her ex", West says.
"Okay I can deal with that he won't hurt her. But we need to get her back before she gives birth", Jazz says worriedly.
"Cleo is not due to have the pups yet", Claret said.
"She isn't but that doesn't mean the pups know that. She was having little contractions earlier. She thought they were Braxton Hicks and was going to call the doctor just to make sure. But she wanted to wait until after the ceremony", Jazz says.
"We need to get to her. If the little Alpha thinks she is in danger he will try to protect her and it might cause her to go into labor", mom says.
Fuck, we need to find her. I can't allow her to have our pups without me being there. I am trying my best to keep my cool and keep Vintage from taking over. We have to deal with our missing mate and the attack we just had.
I look around and everyone is eyeing me, they all expect me to be losing my shit. But I need a cool head in order to get her back. I ordered my trackers to sniff our silver and wolfbane. I sit and try to meditate if I can reach one of the pups, I can reach her.
After five minutes I can sense my little Alpha and he is pissed. He knows something is wrong. I can't feel Cleo through him she seems to be sleeping, it's possible they gave her something before they took her, so she won't fight back or alert anyone. Focusing more, I could feel my two princesses.
Thank the goddess our pups are unharmed. I need them to stay put and not come before I find them. Wherever they are they are not too far. Jazz stated he wouldn't risk taking her somewhere a long distance.
"Bro, what was Cleo wearing when you left her", West asked.
"A t-shit, a necklace, and her ring. Oh, shit her ring has a tracker I forgot about it", how can I be so stupid to forget. I grabbed my phone and look at the app.
"Where does it say she is?", West asked.
"It says she is less than five miles east outside of the pack border. But that can't be right if the rogues did come from that direction, we would have seen them", I say.
"We have men out there now and they don't see anything", he says.
"Tell them to look for what shouldn't be there", dad said.
I got up to head in that direction the tracker said she is there. It is not moving so her or her ring must be there. This ends today and everyone will die. Robert doesn’t get out of this alive nore is the traitor that is helping him.
