**Stephan POV: **
Hearing my son cry is music to my ears I couldn’t hold back the tears. I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw it was Seth he was crying as well. We both looked around and everyone was crying even the doctor. He is so small, no one will ever hurt him. I will love him no matter what, no matter what he does in his life. The nurse passed the clean pup to Sherry and she held him and kissed him, then passed him to Morton who did the same. My heart wants me to reach out and hold him, but I couldn’t under the law I have no claim to him, and I have no one to blame but me.
“Stephan would you like to hold him”, Morton asked.
“Ye……. yeah sure”, I said trying to play it cool. But everyone around me can see through me.
Virtue was howling in delight holding our pup. He looks like Dad he has his green eyes like me and him. He has my dirty blond hair I rock him slowly and hum the tone mother use to sing to me. Seth comes over and hums the same tone. I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing. I look over at Sol and see she is the only one with dry eyes and sadness in the,
“What’s his name?”, I asked holding him in my arms.
“His name is Harou Coppa-Noir-Phi. We named him after his grandfather”, Morton said.
“He will have both of his father's last names”, Sherry said with a smile.
“Thank you…. you didn’t have to”, I said still crying I am losing all of my badass points.
“Thank you both of you. Stephan and I are honored”, Seth said.
Everyone took turns holding the pup. Danny walked in with the nanny and was happy to see his first cousin. He then started asking if the baby Bastet is carrying will be his brother/sister or cousin. We all laughed and dodged Danny's question We stayed and talked for a while, then it was time for Sherry to feed the pup and everyone had to leave. Sol was the first one to leave she barely said a word to anyone she did smile at Harou and Sherry. I ran after her not too fast for anyone to notice.
“Sol waits”, I said as I reached her.
“WHAT DO YOU WANT STEPHAN”, she yelled.
“I want to make sure you are okay", I said actually caring about her feeling.
“Okay…. okay…. I just watched my second chance mate who rejected me hold his pup. A pup he created with my brothers’ mate. On top of that, I watched the man who that chosen me to be his mate share a moment of happiness with his second-chance mate. Who by the way is having her husband's baby, that tried to kill her”, she said and I can tell she is fighting back tears.
“Look Sol, we are to play the hand we are dealt. Seth wasn’t made for you”, I said.
“Yeah, but the man who is doesn’t want me. So yes, I am sad about my life, but I am happy for Sherry”, she said crying. Seth and I are both assholes Sol doesn’t deserve this.
“Sol, I am sorry how I acted with you. I am also sorry about how Seth is acting. But in his defense, she is his second chance mate which doesn’t come that often”, I said trying to cheer her up.
“Whatever Stephan I think I am going to travel the world a bit. It’s clear I am not wanted here”, she said wiping her tears.
“I Alpha Stephan Coppa Noir take back my rejection of Sol Phi as my mate if she will have me”, I said.
“What…. why?”, she asked confused.
“Honesty we both deserve to be happy. Seeing my son born reminded me that I have always wanted a moment like that. Unfortunately, I had to share it with her mate. What I am saying is that I should count my blessings and trust me after all the fucked-up shit I have done in my life I was blessed to have a mate”, I said honestly.
“What about Terry your Luna”, she asked sarcastically.
“She left and is not coming back unless she needs my help”, I said hoping that Terry is okay.
“I want a full courtship and no more skewing those bitches”, she said with an attitude.
“As you wish a full courtship it is my dear”, I said with a wink as I walk towards Seth's office.
It dawned on me that Sherry didn’t have one of those human celebrations that is called a baby shower. I wonder if Bastet and some of the other ladies will want to throw her on. I know she and Morton have the necessary set up but I know she might want to have that part. Hopefully, Seth would agree. I knock on his door and Bastet is there inside Seth's office. I hope they fall in love Seth of all people deserves it.
“Hey, bro got a minute? I need both of your opinions", I said.
“Okay shoot”, he said.
“First I have decided to take back my rejection of Sol and plan on fully courting her with your blessing”, I said.
“That is excellent sure you have my blessing court on”, Seth said smiling.
“Okay and also I will like to throw Sherry a baby shower thing human woman-like”, I said confused about how they go.
“Well it is too late for a baby shower”, Bastet said.
“Why is that?”, I asked.
“Because baby shower happens before the baby is born”, Bastet said.
“Oh, shit I wanted to do something nice for her”, I said.
“Well you can do a sip and see”, Bastet suggested.
“What the hell is a sip and see”, Seth asked just confused as I am.
“A sip and see is friends and family get to drop by, sip on some refreshments and meet the new baby, as well as give gifts”, Bastet explained.
“What kind of refreshments?”, I asked.
“Alcohol and non-alcohol refreshments”, she said with a shrug.
“Wait you expect me to have a bunch of people drinking around my pup?!”, I am beyond pissed.
“No, calm down it won’t be hard drinks, drinks like mimosas, champagne, light daiquiris”, she explained.
“Okay, that makes sense you humans are weird”, I say with a shrug.
“Also, I have something I want to discuss with both of you”, Bastet said him her commander tone.
