**Sol POV: **
What the fuck? Ss all I can say in my head while he tells me his story. What kind of shit is this? I need time to take all this in. I look at Seth and see the faces he makes when he talks about that day. Hell, I have some questions as well. The first one is why he let his brother live after that. Why didn’t he leave anyone in the hospital to guard his mate? If he was that careless with her, would he be that careless with me? I still don’t understand why his brother would come after me.
“Now that I told you my story are there any questions you may have", he said.
“Yes, I don’t understand why he would come after me?”, I asked.
“He would come after you to hurt me”, Seth said.
“But, why does he want to hurt you? You both lost someone you love”, I said confused.
“He blames me for his death, and I blame him”, he says with a shrug.
“I understand if I was the Luna he would come for me just because of my Luna title”, I said.
“It’s possible he might think you are my second chance mate and not my chosen mate”, he says.
“What’s the difference?”, I asked. I went to a human school, so I don’t know anything about different types of mates.
“A second chance mate is another mate the Goddess chooses for an Alpha as a reward of sorts. A chosen mate is chosen by the person and not by the Goddess”, he says.
“So, second chance mates are just as meaningful as a mate. And a chosen mate is like what humans do”, I said.
“So, if he thinks I am your second chance mate he will come after me to hurt you”, I asked.
“Yup”, he said with a pop on the p.
“If he knows I am your chosen mate, would he still try to harm me?”, I asked.
“No, he might try to catch you and use you the way he used Sherry and the other women he abducted”, he said.
“Now that I have all of the information can I think about all this? This is a lot to take in Seth. Is he the reason you waited so long to choose a mate?”, I know I asked a lot of questions, but I need to know.
“No, I didn’t choose a mate after Yvette died because most females wanted me and the title and not Danny. And we are a packaged deal”, he said.
“Who wouldn’t love Danny”, I asked he is a good kid.
“Exactly, the moment I saw you I saw the way you treated him with love. You cared for him without even knowing who he is. And your feelings towards him never wavered even when we started courting. You made him a priority always”, he said with loving eyes.
“He should always be a priority”, I said.
“Some women saw him as an obstacle. I am not sure if it is because he looks like his mother or because he is not their child”, he said with a shrug.
I leave his office and take everything in. I like Seth and I would love to be Luna of the pack. But at what price? Is facing all of this danger worth being with Seth? Hell, he couldn't protect the woman the moon Goddess made for him. Would he be more protective of me I wonder?
I have a lot of shit to think about. Do I want a life that is always going to be in danger? Maybe if we tell Stephan that I am Seth's chosen mate that he would leave me out of whatever family drama they have. This is a lot of drama I need to talk to my brother about all of this. I mind link him.

“No, it cannot. I need my overprotective brother right now Dez”, I said to him. Morton must have given him control to spend time with Sherry.
**Morton POV: **
Dez gave me back control once she was asleep. Now Sherry is asleep in my arms when I get a mind link from Sol, she needs to talk to me asap. I move slowly not to wake up Sherry, I leave her a note telling her where I am. I walk to Sol's room she sound upset when she asked me to come to her.
“Hey sis you wanted to see me?””, I asked with a smile which fell when I saw she was crying.
“Yes, I did”, she said wiping her eyes.
“Are you okay?”, I asked.
“No, I am not”, she said.
“What happened?”, I asked ready to beat someone up. Even if it might be my Alpha.
“Seth told me about the day Yvette died”, she said, and I was shocked. Seth never talks about that day ever. I was there the day he lost his mate and his brother.
“That’s big he never talks about that day. Why did he tell you?”, I asked.
“He said he wanted me to know everything between him and his brother”, she said.
“I was there that day; I didn’t see her get killed but I did see what happened after. They both loved her and they both made her choose. If I had any say I would say they both are equally responsible”, I said knowing Seth would probably beat my ass near death if he heard me say that.
“He says Stephan might come for me to hurt him. Then he explained the difference between a second chance mate and a chosen mate”, she said in a panic.
“HE WILL NEVER TOUCH YOU WE WILL MAKE SURE OF THAT”, I yelled. There is no way I will allow Stephan to hurt my sister.
“YOU DON’T KNOW THAT MORTON. THE PACK COULDN’T PROTECT THEIR FIRST LUNA!”, she said yelling back crying.
Fuck I know Sol took the chosen mate thing to heart. It is thought that a chosen mate could never be as important as a first mate or a second chance mate. I know it wasn’t Seth's intention to make her feel like a chosen mate is less than, but he did. He is right Stephan will come for her if she decides to become Luna. I want to help her with this just as she helped me with Sherry.
“Have you guys been you know…. intimate yet?”, I asked.
“No, why?’, she asked giving me a that’s gross look.
“If you two are intimate you will see that a bond is a bond no matter if you are a first, second, or chosen mate”, I said.
“So, you are saying if I have sex with him, I will know my answer based on what I feel?”, she asked.
“Yup”, I replied.
“Okay, I will take your advice if you take your own”, she said with a smile.
