**Bastet POV: **
“SETH!”, I yell via mind link. I am so going to punch him in the dick.
I want to go to the gardens but the woman that Seth left to babysit me will not let me leave. They said Seth uses his Alpha tone to command them to keep me in this room. I can't go outside and walk around because of dromes'. The only please I was allowed to go I am not allowed to go anymore. Now I am pissed off I need answers now.
“SETH!”, I yell again.
“Yes, my love”, he said with a smile I wanted to slap off his face.
“Why the hell can't go to the garden?”, I asked extremely pissed off.
“Because it is not safe”, he said with a disapproving look.
“What do you mean it is not safe?”, I asked rubbing my stomach. This girl hates it when I yell at him.
“There have been movements in town. As well as Hunters in the house we went to”, he said.
“They are already here?”, I asked scared.
“Yes, there are and we do not know when they will attack my love so stay in the house”, he said in a stern town.
“What about Danny, Sherry and Haruo?”, I asked worried.
“As long as everyone stays in the house you guys will be fine. The house will lock down in the event of a breach”, he said.
“They will not attack yet. Dad will want first-hand intel”, I said then he kissed me.
“Just make sure that patrol search for smells that are not supposed to be around”, I said.
“What do you mean smells that Are not supposed to be around?”, he asked.
“We cover our scents with a spray that smells like a forest to us”, I said.
“What the hell does forest smell like?”, he asked laughing.
“To us pine and water”, I said laughing back.
“Ok, so the smell of forest. Which to you humans are pine and water means they are near”, he said shaking his mead.
“Yup”, I said shaking my head.
“I will let the whole pack know”, he said they kissed my stomach.
Damn, his lips felt so good on my skin. Dad had to come early now is not the time. My baby is due any time. I really hope Dad does not attach while or after my labor. I will not be able to walk out to show him I am alive. It is clear Jason did not tell him I am alive or else he would have come knocking.
“I am having a room in the house prepared for when the baby comes. I don’t want to risk having to take you to the hospital during a fight. So, the doctor will prepare a medical room here for you”, he said.
Seth has been on edge I miss the easy-going side of him. I know he has a lot on his plate as Alpha. But I hold some of the weight as well. Even though I am bedridden I still place orders for food and process payroll for all of his companies, as well as the workers here. I also prepare the work schedules for the workers of the pack and handle minor disputes. I do all this shit for my bedroom. Sometimes when Seth comes in at night, he is so tired her sleeps on the couch. Danny has been keeping me company when Sherry and everyone else are busy. He talks to our daughter and tells her about the pack and the places he likes to go. Danny is going to be an amazing big brother.
**Seth POV: **
After talking to Bastet, I sent out a mass mind link to every adult in the pack. I told them to be on the lookout for the smell of pine and water. And if anyone smells that scent, they are to notify me or Morton immediately. I must say those hunters are smart when we patrol, we always sniff for what is there not what is not supposed to be there.
I wish they would fucking attack already so that Bastet and I can go on with our lives. The sooner those hunters are away for my pack the better. I am sure Bastet might want to do a DNA test first before they leave. I spoke to the doctor about it he said he can do the test before the baby is born if that is what Bastet really wants.
A part of me wonders if she will want to go back to her lover. Another part is confident that she will not leave me and that she will stay. Goddess I hope that is true she is a human the mate bond is not as strong as it would be if she was a she wolf.
“Damn bro you look lost in thought”, Stephan said.
“Yes, I am. I am wondering if Bastet will truly stay with me or not”, I said sadly.
“What? Of course, she will why would she leave you? She loves you”, he said.
“What if her lover is her child's father?”, I ask it hurts just to think about it.
“That will not change anything she will not leave you”, Stephan said.
“She still loves him”, I said.
“That may be so but she is in love with you. And besides if she tries to leave, I will kill him”, Stephan said leave it to my brother to want to kill someone.
“Then you will be the bad guy”, I said with a laugh.
“Aren't I always the bad guy”, he said with a smirk.
“Yeah, but I am trying to save your balls”, I said with a laugh. He laughed as well.
“On another note, I just want to give you a heads-up. Sol is going to write Bastet a letter”, he said.
“That's nice did you read it?”, I asked hoping she did.
“Nope, she didn’t give it to me to deliver yet. Even if she did, I will not read it”, he said.
We talked some more about this mysterious letter Sol will write Bastet. I just hope she does not say some dumb shit in it. Stephan said he will make sure his pack is ready in the event of an attack. And that he had already mind-linked all of the adults in his pack about the pine and water scent. After some hours he left to pick up the letters Sol wrote. So, I decided to go to our room and wait with Bastet. Of course, when I go in, she is asleep and Danny is sleeping next to her. I went to take a shower and got in on the other side, Danny and I sandwiched Bastet between us.
