**Seth POV**:
“Seth gets up I'm hungry”, Bastet says while shaking me.
“Do I have to? I can always have someone bring food to us”, I said not wanting to go to breakfast knowing
“NO, Seth you are trying to avoid an inviolable confrontation. What's going on talk to me why are you scared of that woman”, Bastet asked.
“I am not scared of Archress. It's just that she blames me and Stephan for her death. She blames me for not protecting her. And she blames Stephan for Yvette being attacked. I just don’t want you in the crossfire baby”, I said trying to make her understand.
“Seth, just nip it in the bud and make sure you tell Stephan before he bumps into her”, she said getting dressed.
She is right I mind link Stephan to tell him Archress is here. Goddess, I hope they won't kill each other. Bastet leaves to go get Danny ready for the day. Stephan and I move past our issue regarding Yvette's death, and we do not need her opening old wounds. I get dressed in grey sweatpants and a black T-shirt. Me, Bastet, and Danny walk down for breakfast, I can hear the hell breaking loose already.
“You son of a bitch! You have some nerves being here!”, I hear Archress yell and I know she saw Stephan.
“Archress please calm down”, Morton said with a plea.
“Calm down this bastard killed me daughter!”, she yells and tries to attack Stephan.
“I did no such thing I loved her and still do”, Stephan said with sadness in his eyes.
“GRANDMA!”, Danny yelled happily not caring about what is going on.
“Danny, my baby you got so big”, Archress said with so much love for Danny.
She looks at me, Bastet, and Stephan shaking her head before walking into the dining hall. Danny sits next to her you can cut the tension with a knife it is so thick. Sherry walks in with my nephew in her arms smiling not knowing what's going on.
“And who is she”, Archress said causing Sherry to stop and look at her.
“Grandma, that is Sherry she is Uncle Morton's mate. Harou is my cousin he is Uncle Morton and Uncle Stephans pup”, Danny points to Sherry, Morton, Stephan and Harou. Archress looks at him confused.
“Auntie Sherry this is my grandma. My first mommy mom”, Danny said and Bastet smiled at him.
“What do you mean first mommy? Danny, you only have one mommy”, Archress said.
“No, Grandma Bastet is my mommy now. She is my daddy mate and future Luna”, Danny said carefree.
“Danny just because she is your dad's mate does not make her your mom”, Archress said.
“Danny how about you, me, and Harou go sit in the garden and eat it's nice outside”, Sherry said and Danny nods. Grabs his plate and runs out the door.
“How could you let him forget his mother!”, Archress said mad as hell.
“I did no such thing. For four years I have not been with a woman feeling bad about bringing another woman into his life. I would never want to erase the memory of Yvette. But the Goddess gave me a second chance mate and I accept and love her”, I said trying to get her to understand.
“How can she be a mother to him? She is not even a wolf”, Archress said staring at Bastet.
“Does it matter if I am a wolf or not? I love Seth, Danny, this whole pack", Bastet said.
“You will never be half the woman that my daughter was”, Archress said.
“ENOUGH! I WILL NOT LET YOU TALK ABOUT MY MATE LIKE THIS!”, I yelled pissed off.
“Ma’am I love Danny and Seth. Isn't that what your daughter would want for them to have someone who loves them?”, Bastet asked.
“Look Archress, no one is to blame for Yvette's death but me. I take full responsibility for it. My brother lost his mate, my nephew lost his mother, the pack lost its Luna, and I lost the woman I love. All because I couldn’t see past myself. I lived with that guilt since that day, and I still do. Seth has forgiven me, I just hope one day you will forgive me too”, Stephan said crying.
Archress didn't say anything about Stephan's confession. She doesn't want to admit he is just as hurt as she is. We ate in silence for a while then she asked Bastet about her background. Bastet told her the truth about her being a legally married huntress and how we met. At some point, Archress seems shocked and appalled. Sherry came back in with Danny he was telling us about the bugs he saw in the garden. Morton and I have stuff to do but I don't want to leave Bastet with Archress around.
“So, Archress how long are you staying for?”, Morton asked.
“I am not sure. I was thinking until after the mating ceremony”, she said.
“We don’t have a date for one yet”, I said surprised she mentioned the ceremony.
“Well, it needs to be done as soon as possible. It's just not right mate shacking up without the ceremony”, she said looking at all everyone in the room.
I remember she wouldn't let Yvette mate with me until we were properly mated. Archress is old fashion like that which is good. I don't blame her if I ever had a daughter, no male in the world will be allowed to look at her. We listen to Archress talk about the ceremony and how important it is.
“Archress would you mind helping me I don't know what I need or what the protocol is?”, Bastet asked her.
“Sure, dear I will be delighted to. But just know you since you are already in the family way you can't wear white”, she said and Stephan started laughing.
“We can meet in the garden in an hour and we can go over the details”, Bastet said. Archress excused herself I guess to go and make up a list of things needed for the ceremony.
“Shit that went better than I thought”, Morton said with a laugh.
