**Cleo POV:**
“Val is your mother inviting someone to dinner?”, I asked. It seems like no one else noticed the extra seating place.
“I was not aware of that babe”, he said glaring at his mother. Who by the way has a smirk on her face.
“Do you know who she invited?”, I asked. There is enough for everyone so one more person is not a problem.
"Mother, are you expecting a guess?", Val asked.
"Yes, dear I am, I invited my best friend's daughter", she says with a smile.
"Motherrrrr", Val says, annoyed.
"Baby, who did she invite", as soon as I said that the person walked in and my blood started to boil.
"What the fuck is this bitch doing here?", Jazz said in disgust.
"Language, young lady", Val's mother said.
"Mother Avaya is exiled, her punishment for being here is death and she knows it", Val said, annoyed.
"I invited her my dear. I also gave her my word that you will not harm her", Claret said.
"MOTHER, YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO INVITE HER HERE!", Val yelled.
"WATCH YOUR TONE SON", Val's father's voice booms.
"I need everyone to calm down. It's okay, there is enough food for everyone", I said with a forced smile.
As we started to eat, I could feel Val's aggravation getting worse. Jazz keeps throwing death glares at Avaya. And Avaya keeps smirking at me. West looks at Val like he is trying to calm him down. This night couldn't get any worse.
"I must say the cook out did himself tonight. This stew is amazing, is this a new recipe?", Val's mom asked.
"I agree with Claret, this is amazing. The cook must have taken some classes to increase his skills", Avaya said. I am glad she likes it. I can't wait to see the look on her face when I tell her Jazz and I had made it.
"I am glad you ladies like it. The cook didn't make it, though Jazz and I did", I said with a wide smile. The look on Avaya's face was priceless. Even Val and West laughed at her.
"Well, I am glad my sons are fated to beautiful women that know their way around a kitchen". Francis said with a smile as he looked from me to Cleo.
"Son care to tell me why you exiled Avaya", Claret asked. The whole room when quiet.
"For treason mother", he said nonchalantly as he kept eating.
"WHAT! TREASON SHE WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A THING", Val's mother said in shock.
"But she did. She attacked Cleo and Jazz more than once. And everyone knows a violent act towards and guess under my protection is punishable by death. However, Cleo, being the kindhearted person she is, didn't want me to kill her. Instead, I exiled her", Val explained.
"In my defense, I didn't know she was his mate", Avaya says, trying to sound innocent.
"Well, you do know now", I said with an attitude.
"But she knew I am the female Beta and that didn't stop her", Jazz said to make it clear that Avaya is not innocent.
"Well, so you did the right thing", Francis said.
"He physically attacked me in front of many pack members", Avaya said with crocodile tears. This bitch is getting on my nerves.
"HE DID WHAT!?", both Francis and Claret said.
"Yes, I did. She was attacking my mate, she would have harmed my pups", Val says as he struggles with Vintage for control.
"Pups?", Francis said with excitement.
"Yes, I am carrying three babies, one boy, and two girls", I said with pride as I rubbed my stomach and stared Avaya in the face and smirked at her.
"How far are you?", Claret asked.
"I am about two months in", I said.
"Oh my Goddess, I am going to be a grandma", Claret says, smiling from ear to ear.
"Claret, she can have all the pups in the world, she will still be a nobody", Avaya says as Val growls at her.
"You have no idea who I am or what I can do. And if you don't want to get your ass whopped again, I would stop talking", I said with a deadly stare.
"Again?", Francis asked.
"Yes, dad Avaya and Cleo got into a fight and Cleo won", West said.
"The bitch only won because Valenzano stopped the fight", Avaya said with anger and disgust.
"Bitch you got one more bitch left. Please give me a reason to finish what Cleo started", Jazz said, getting up from her seat causing West to grab her and made her sit down.
"Cleo was pregnant at the time of the fight but didn't know. I am glad I stopped the fight. I could have lost my pups. Avaya wouldn't stop trying to fight Cleo, so I had to knock some sense into her". Val said.
"Literally", West said, laughing.
"We don't condone hitting women, but you did what you had to do", Francis said.
"Cleo three pups huh, that seems like a lot for a human", Claret said.
"Cleo is just not any human, she is special, very special", Val said as he smiled at me.
"Really now how so", Avaya said, I need this bitch out of my house asap.
"I am not just a human. I am an Alpha's daughter", I say, and they look at me like I have two heads.
"That's a fucking lie, she is 100% human", Avaya said with anger.
Valenzano explains to his parents what I told him about my family, my pack, the way my father's mark affected me in my mother's womb.
"That still doesn't make her a wolf, she is still a weak human", Avaya says as she attempts to get up, but Francis stands in front of her.
"I will be right back. I have to use the bathroom". I look at Jazz and she follows me.
"Cleo, where are you going? Please don't overreact. She is just trying to make you look bad in front of his parents", Jazz says as I walk into the armory.
I picked up three silver daggers. It had been a while since I threw one. Jazz looks at me with pleading eyes. I stared back at her. She huffs and grabs a gun. One thing about Jazz, she is my ride-or-die always and forever. Even when she doesn't agree with my actions, she always stands by me. And Avaya is pissing me off.
"Look who is back are you done crying now?", Avaya says with a whiny voice as Val and West growl.
"Cut the shit Avaya, be glad you are still breathing", Val said.
"Well, since I have been exiled, I don't have to listen to you anymore. And I am under your parent's protection, so you can't harm me", she says with a smirk. I want to slap that smirk off her face.
"Well, we need to prepare for the mating ceremony and celebrate the pups", Claret said with excitement.
"I think it's a little too soon for all of that", I said, tightening my grip on the dagger.
"This stupid human doesn't even respect our traditions. What a waste", Avaya says with disgust.
"What the fuck is your problem with me? I have done nothing to you. I even spared your life, you ungrateful bitch", I spat.
"Oh, shit", I heard West say.
"I would rather die than see the man I love with a worthless piece of garbage like you", Avaya says with hate.
"He doesn't love you. Get over it. Seriously, how desperate can you be", I said, ready to cut a bitch.
"You think you are special because you trapped him. If you weren't his fated mate, he would never have looked at you. Let alone stick his dick in you", Avaya yelled.
"But I am his fated mate. Something you will never be. Now take your desperate ass out of my house NOW", I yelled, trying not to snap.
"You want me out. Make me", this bitch got some nerves.
"Bitch, don't let this stomach fool you. I will love to finish the ass whopping I started", I, gripping a dagger tight, waiting for her to act up.
"Baby calm down, it's not good for the pups", Val says with concern.
"If I knew for sure no one will stop me I would kick your ass", she says.
"Did you just threaten her, Avaya", Val says as he gets out of his seat.
"Everyone needs to calm down NOW", Francis said.
"Feeling froggy leap… bitch ", I said as I stood up.
She moved and I threw a dagger at her, and it hit her shoulder. Claret and Francis gasped in shock. Jazz sat there looking at Avaya with a smile. While West ass kept eating. The second dagger I threw hit her so hard on her other shoulder she fell on her back. I ran so fast to her that Val didn't have time to grab me. I stood above her and looked her dead in the eyes.
"Every day you breathe is because of me. Because I chose not to kill you. This useless human allowed you to live. And you will continue to live knowing the man you love is happy with someone else. Someone you could never be", then I threw the third dagger centimeters from her hard on the ground.
I look around and everyone is shocked by my actions, even Jazz. Shit, I can even hear Avaya crying on the floor as Francis tries to help her up.
"You fucking bitch, you are nothing special. The only reason you are allowed to have those pups is because you are his mate. If not, he would have made you get rid of them", This girl doesn't quit, she needs mental help.
"He would never do something like that. Whether I am his mate or not he will want our children", I said proudly.
She laughs and says, "you don't know him as I do. Why don't you ask him?"
"AVAYA CUT THE SHIT AND LEAVE NOW!", Val says in his Alpha tone. He is hiding something, and I want to know what it is.
"What is she talking about", I said as I turned to look at Valenzano.
"Son, answer your mate", Francis said.
"Now is not the time for this", West said, looking at me with apologetic eyes.
"Cleo, we can talk about this later. AVAYA GET THE FUCK OUT NOW!", Val yells again.
"SOMEONE FUCKING TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON!", I yelled.
"I will, after 75 years into our relationship, I become pregnant. Valenzano injected me with wolfbane to get rid of our pup because he thought it was the right thing to do for the pack", Avaya said.
"Nooo, Val please tell me you didn't do that", I said as I started crying.
"Son?", Claret questioned.
"Val please tell me she is lying. Tell me you didn't kill your own child", I said, crying.
"Cleo baby…I", Val says, then Avaya cut him off.
"I am not lying; our pup is buried in an unmarked grave in the pack cemetery. He promised me that he would choose me as his mate after 25 more years and we could try again for a pup", Avaya said while crying.
"Oh my God, Val, how could you do something horrific? You are a fucking monster", I said as I ran up to my old room crying.
