**Sol POV: **
I can’t believe that Stephan is my second chance mate and he doesn’t want me. I don’t understand why none of my mates wanted me. And to hear him call another woman his Luna pissed me off most of all. If my brother and Seth wasn’t there, I would have tried to kill her. My first mate rejected me and paid the price for it.
I told everyone that his ex-girlfriend killed him, but the truth is it was me I killed him. He rejected me because he was in love with his girlfriend who was carrying his pup. I was so hurt I lost it, I got a gun with silver bullets and wait for the right time to kill him. I know it was wrong but if I can’t have him no one can. Then I fled England when the police cleared her for his murder and started to pay more attention to me.
Now here I am home getting courted by the Alpha who wants me to be his chosen mate. Whose brother is my second chance mate that rejected me for a fucking human. Why is history repeating itself? I know Seth doesn’t really like me he is actually forcing himself to move on from his beloved Yvette.
I kind of feel bad that I aired our dirty laundry to everyone. I sat quietly and listened to Seth talk about his parents’ wills. I am actually shocked that his mother would do such a thing, especially since Stephan was banished. After we talked Morton and Sherry got up to leave and I attempted it as well. I didn’t get too far out the door when Seth spoke.
“Sol, we need to talk”, he said to me. Not in his Alpha tone but in one that I know the conversation is not optional.
“Yes, we do”, I said as I sat down.
“Care to explain your behavior out there today”, he asked.
“I was shocked that I had a second chance mate”, I said trying to convince him its nothing more than that.
“And the fact that he rejected you seems to piss you off”, he said folding his arms over his chest.
“Honesty I never thought that would get a second chance mate”, I said.
“So do you want to be with him?”, he asked straight to the point.
“Doesn’t matter he doesn’t want me”, I said holding back tears.
“Sol, I know I haven’t been as affectionate with you as I should. I never had to court a woman my mate as you know was my best friend”, he said looking at me softly.
“I just want to feel that you want me because I’m what you want. I feel like you want me because the pack needs a Luna and Danny needs a mother”, I said in a strong tone.
“I do want you it is just hard for me to take the next step with you. Honestly, I haven’t had sex with anyone since Yvette. So, it is difficult for me I feel like I am cheating on her”, he said Goddess he is so cute.
“All you had to do is tell me that I would have understood. You won’t mark me until we are mated when you are ready so am I”, I said as I kissed his forehead.
“And what of Stephan will you accept his rejection?”, he asked.
“I need to have a conversation with him”, I said not knowing what to say.
“Well, if you try maybe you can catch up to him the quicker the better”, he said.
I hugged Seth and left his office to follow Stephan scent. I run as fast as I can he was in eye view walking with that woman. I was about to call out to him then I was tackled to the ground. I got up and fought the rogue due to the commotion Stephan turned around to see what was going on. When our eye met, I pulled the rogues Adams apple out with my claws and smirked at him.
More men surrounded me while Stephan just stood there with him arms crossed and the woman was looking at me with fear. Aww she was scared of me. Well being a Betas daughter, I have had the best of training. The first man lunged at me and I snapped his neck not even breaking a sweat. Two more came at me and I ripped one of them heart out while the other ran.
“ENOUGH”, Stephan yelled in his Alpha tone that had no affect on me.
“I want to talk to you”, I said in demanding tone.
“You come here”, he called the man that ran.
“Ye…yes Alpha “, with one swing of his fist he punched a hole in the man’s head.
“LET THAT BE A LESSION TO ALL OF YOU! WE DON’T RUN AND WE DON’T SURRENDER”, he yelled.
“TALK”, he ordered. I looked around to at the faces.
“ALONE”, I demanded.
“Fine, leave us Gar take Terry please”, I said, and everyone left. I watch as he walked closer to me.
“You don’t fight to defend like most she wolves you fight to kill”, he said, and I can see a little pride in him.
“I never give someone the opportunity to attack twice”, I said wiping my hand on one of the dead man’s shirts.
“Smart woman”, he said with a smile.
“Why did you reject me?”, I asked
“I have a plan and that didn’t include having a true mate. Especially one who is my brother’s sloppy seconds”, he said gritting his teeth.
“I am no one sloppy seconds”, I said with an eyeroll.
“Right, I smell him all over you”, he said with a snare.
“But not in me. We never had sex or did you miss that announcement”, I said sarcastically.
“I know every little she-wolf dream if finding her mate. If we met under different circumstances, I would be happy to have you”, he said.
“You are my second chance mate my first one died”, I said looking into his eyes.
“Seth is a good man better than me actually don’t tell him I said that. I am not sure if he will love you, but he would treat you right”, he said holding my hand.
“Have you never wanted a mate?”, I asked.
“Once upon a time I promised someone one I will reject my mate for her. That’s how much I loved her. Now that she is gone, I am not sure if I can love anyone more than I love her”, he said.
“You still love Yvette as well?”, I asked
“Yes, I see he told you our story”, he said looking sad.
“But care for Terry”, I pointed out.
“I am not sure what my feelings are for her, but she makes me feel like I am more than how people see me”, he said.
“Yeah, he did. By the way what is up with you and the human”, I was curious.
“Terry is special when she looks at me, she doesn’t see fear, power or lust, she sees me the way I use to be before my world got complicated”, he says.
“I am not accepting your rejection. I wanted to know why you rejected me”, I said.
“I have Terry now, honestly if I would have met you first, we might have had a chance”, he said trying to cheer me up.
“You are an asshole when I mate with Seth you will feel every bit of it. And I hope it hurts to your soul”, I say as I punch him in the face.
I ran back to the house trying to hold my tears in. I don’t want Morton or Seth to see me cry. When I get to the house Danny is sitting on the front steps looking at me angrily.
“Sol, where were you and why are you crying”, he asked mad.
“I was in the woods talking with your uncle”, I say trying to smile showing him I am okay.
“Did Uncle Stephan make you cry”, he asked worried.
“No, baby he didn’t”, I said to him with a smile.
“Danny did Sol get back yet”, I heard Morton yell from inside the house.
“Yes, and she is crying”, Danny snitched on me. With in a second Morton was outside. He told Danny went inside and left me Morton alone.
“What happened did he hurt you”, Morton said looking for bruises.
“Why am I not good enough to have my fated mate(s)?”, I say as broke down and cried.
“What happened Sol, please tell me”, Morton pleased.
I told him everything my conversation with Seth, the fight I had in the woods. Especially my conversation with Stephan. Morton sat and listed to everything I said. I feel so bad burdening him with all this. He has enough stuff to worry about, I know Morton is the only man that will never leave me no matter what I do. He pats me on my back and told me it was okay to feel sad about the situation but to not let it bother me.
After our talk Morton carried me to my room. I filled the tub up and add Juniper bath oil. I slowly took off my clothes and got it. The water was so relaxing then I heard a noise behind me I thought it was Morton coming to check up on me. When I turned around, I saw Seth standing next to the tub ass naked. We just looked at each other, he motioned me to move up I did, and he got in. He pulled me close to him we sat in silence while he just holds me in his arms.
