***Seth POV:***
"Do it again Sol", I hear Danny yell. As I peep into his room.
"Okay little Alpha", she replied as she makes wolf shadow puppets on the wall.
"I like you, Sol, maybe one day you can become my Luna", he says with a smile.
"It doesn't work like that every wolf has a preassigned mate. And besides when you are old enough to be Alpha, I will be old enough to be your grandmother", she says with a laugh with a motherly tone. I watch her as she tucks him in tighter and kisses his forehead.
"It doesn't matter I would still want you as my Luna", he said. And he looks serious so no I have to intervene we haven't had that mate talk yet and he is only four it's too early to talk about that now.
"Danny it's time for bed", I said as Sol bowed as I walked over to tuck him in.
I tucked him in and read him a story. He almost threw a temper tangram when she was about to leave. She stayed while I read him a bedtime story. The whole time I was reading he kept looking at her in amazement as she just smiled at him. I must say she has a wonderful smile but as my best friend/Betas sister she is off-limits. Bout time I was finished reading he was asleep and Sol and I left his room.
"Sol, what were you doing in Danny's room?", I asked.
"I was heading to the indoor pool, then I bumped into him. He said it was his bedtime but he wasn't sleepy. It wasn't until I took him to his room that he introduced himself as little Alpha Then I put two and two together", she said then I realized he was wearing a bathing suit cover-up.
"That was nice of you thank you. I lost track of time I always read him a bedtime story to him every night", I say as I walk her to her room.
"Yes, the rogue issue", she says with a smile.
"Yup, well looks like when is am thirty-five I will be Luna", she says with a smile.
"Let Danny tell it seems so. I thought he was too young for the talk. But now I know I will have to tell him", I say releasing a breath I didn't realize I was holding.
"Don't worry Alpha he will grow out of it once he finds his mate. I will just be that lady who found him walking the halls", she says with a laugh.
"Have you found your mate yet", I asked.
"Yes, I did I found him in England. Unfortunately, he died, he had a girlfriend and she shot him with a silver-tipped bullet. Because she didn't want him to leave him. That is the reason I came back actually", she said with a sad smile.
We reached the pool I opened the door for her and watch her go in. I repeated to myself over and over that she is my best friend/ Beta sister who is off-limits. But the pack has been without a Luna for four years. And a woman with Beta blood would make a good Luna. None of the women in the pack tried to get to know Danny.
They always tried to get me balls deep inside them hoping to become the next Luna. But Sol actually looks interested in knowing Danny, and he seems to like her. I will get to know her a little and then find out what her brother would think about her being my chosen mate.
Waking up too little hands slapping me has been the norm for four years now. My little Alpha always wakes up before me. And feels the need to wake me up because he is up. I look at the clock it is seven in the morning. He woke me up earlier than he usually does. Turning over to face him and he looks mad I should be alarmed but he has a temper like me and I know how to handle it.
"What's wrong little Alpha why are you so sad", I asked with concern Danny is normally happy.
"Where is Sol?", he asked I didn't see that coming.
"I guess she is with Morton", I say still confused about why he is mad.
"Why will she be with Morton... She is my mate", he said angrily and stormed out of my room.
I know he is going to look for Morton or Sol. I really need to have the mate talk with him. He is so mad he might try to attack Morton and being the future Alpha Morton will let him. I get out of my bed and run after him. I lost him somewhere he is fast faster than he should be. I mind link Morton he doesn't respond. Fuck my life I don't need this shit this morning. It is almost eight. I and Danny know where Morton will be. Running straight to the gym I can hear Danny yelling at Morton.
"WHERE IS SHE UNCLE MORTON? WHERE IS SOL?", Danny yells toping everyone in their tracks.
"She is sleeping Danny. What's the problem why are you yelling?", Morton asked confused Danny have never talked to an adult like that.
"I DON'T WANT YOU NEAR MY MATE!", he yells the whole room gets quiet.
"Danny I am confused. Sol is not your mate. Where is your dad?", Morton asked.
"SHE IS SHE IS MY MATE...AND YOU CAN'T HAVE HER SO STAY AWAY FROM HER!", he yells.
"DANNY ENOUGH!", I say in my Alpha tone. The way he looked at me if he was a grown man and any other person other than my son, I would have had to kill him. But he is my son and is confused so I won't discipline him.
"But dad I want him to stay away from my mate", Danny says running into my arms. Morton gives me a confused look. And mouths what the fuck.
"Danny Sol is Morton's sister. You need to apologize to Uncle Morton", I say as he wipes away his tears.
"Are you sure he is her brother?", Danny asked confused.
"Yes, I am", I said picking him up.
"Sorry Uncle Morton for yelling at you. But I am glad you are her brother. I would have hated to hurt you", Danny said, and everyone's jaw dropped instead of mine, and Morton
"He is going to make an excellent Alpha he is ready to fight even his Uncle for his supposed mate", Morton said via mind link.
I try to hold in my prideful smile. But Danny needs to know this behavior is unacceptable. I send him to his room. While he left, I informed Morton of what conspired last night with him, and Sol. Morton said he understood, and that Danny does need a female role model in his life.
I explained to him that I was thinking about courting Sol since Danny seems to like her and she seems to be interested in him more than me. So, I figure she is not one of the power-hungry unmated she-wolves. As my best friend, he gave me his blessing and then said he would hate to have to kill me if I break her heart.
"Seth, I don't know how to tell you this. But I think I know who is behind the abduction of the human women", Morton said, and I know whom he is talking about.
"Stephan", we both said he looked shocked I knew.
"So, you know?", he asked.
"I figured it was him when I saw him yesterday on pack lands", I said with a sigh.
"Why didn't you call for help?”, he asked.
"Because I don't need any, he was on the lands to visit Yvette’s crypt. And besides, I had Danny with me I could let him see me kill my only brother", I said as I sit in my chair in my office.
"I will have more people guarding the patrols. He should not have been able to get on the lands unnoticed", Morton said.
"He is an Alpha son and grew up here of course he knows the weak spots", I said.
"And that makes him dangerous", Morton said.
"I know, but he is my brother and Yvette loved him as well. I can't kill him that's why I banished him", I said remembering the day I had to banish my brother.
