I see why Seth didn’t want to go to breakfast. Archress have no filter at all. She told Stephan and Seth off not caring they are both Alphas. I must say Danny's face lights up when he sees her. I know she thinks that I am here to take the place of her daughter but I could never do that. Even if I could I would not do that Yvette is a part of who Seth is. Archress is blunt I know that much about her because I am in the family way, and I can't wear white. The nerve of that lady I can wear whatever color I want. And guess white it is white.
“What is your relationship with Archress it seems to be more than mother-in-law and son-in-law?”, I asked
“Well, she and my father were close years before he met my mom. When he met my mom the three of them became best friends. Archress is like a second mom to me”, he said.
“Wait so your father's lover became his best friend?”, wolves are so confusing.
“Lover? No, they loved each other, yes, but Archress would never let him cross that line because she knew they both had mates waiting for them. In fact, Archress is the reason my dad stayed a virgin until he mated with my mom”, Seth said.
"Even if they did want each other that way it didn't happen. My father would always say the moon goddess paired Yvette and I together for a reason", he said.
“Okay, that explains why she act the way she did”, I said.
“Yeah, and she-wolves are territorial. And Danny is all she has left of Yvette. She just does not want Yvette to be erased from our memory”, Seth said.
“How about you hang up some of her pictures? I noticed she has none around here”, he looked at me like I am crazy.
I explained to him that my dad had all of my mother's pictures up in the house. When my godfather use to ask why he told him if any woman I want to be with had an issue with the pictures she is not the woman for him. A woman made for him would want her picture next to my mother's. I told him maybe it bothers her that there is no picture of her daughter anywhere in the house. Seth said he will put up some pictures.
“Baby, when you meet up with Archress please keep in mind this might be hard for her okay", he said as he hugs me.
“I know it might be, but I want her to feel like she is welcome here and that she will always have a place here”, I said.
“You are such a Luna and you don't even know it”, he said kissing my mark.
“Seth, are you going to tell her about the pending war with the hunters”, I asked.
“Only if you want me to”, he said rubbing my stomach.
“If she is going to stay here permanently then we should tell her”, I said as I braid my hair.
He walked me down to the garden I was shocked to see Sherry there waiting for me with Archress. I smiled grateful that Sherry is here to support me. We all sit and Archress tells us about the ceremony. The cutting of my and Seth's hand to link me with the pack. The oath I have to take in front of the pack and visitors. It seems like a human wedding just with the cutting part added. I decided I don’t want anything similar to what I had at my wedding with John.
Much to Archress' dismay I chose a barbeque-style ceremony. Just in case the association is watching it will look like a party and not a wedding. The color scheme will be lilac and grey, grey dishes and lilac table clothes. The centerpieces will be lilac and grey lilies. The food is simple, ribs, burgers, whole roasted wild boar, whole roasted deer. The bottom tier of the cake will be red velvet, the second tier will be caramel cake, the third tier will be carrot, the fourth tier will be lemon, and the top tier will be strawberry. The dress is the hardest part Archress has her option and I have mine.
“Bastet is not appropriate to wear white”, Archress said.
“Times have changed women wear white at weddings no matter if they are virgins or not”, Sherry said.
“Well for a Luna it's not proper”, Archress said rolling her eyes at Sherry.
“You know what Archress you are right. I will choose a different color”, I said and she smiles and me and Sherry happy she got her way little do she know.
“And what color did you choose dear”, she said rolling her eyes at Sherry.
“Opal”, I said smiling at her and then Sherry.
“Opal, that’s too close to white”, Archress said getting mad.
“Close to white is not white”, Sherry said with a grin.
I decided Sherry will be my maid of honor, and Danny will be the ring barrier. I asked Archress to be the matron of honor she happily agreed. Sherry said she will ask one of the ladies in Stephan's pack if her daughter can be the flower girl. Sherry's dress is going to be a lilac lace one-shoulder dress gown. Archress dress is a grey lace off-shoulder long-sleeve gown. Everyone seemed to be happy with the choices. Sherry and I to be the ones to order all of the decors we figured it will keep her busy for a while. Archress was very happy with it. By the time we were done, it was time for lunch but I am tired so I told Sherry to let Seth know I will be in our room and to bring me lunch.
“Hey baby are you okay? I got you your lunch”, Seth said.
“I am just a little tired”, I said as I got on the bed to lie down.
“How did the planning go?”, he asked.
“It went better than I expected. We got the color scheme down. Archress gave me an earful about my dress being white. So, I decided on opal, by the way, she pissed. But she got over it”, I said taking my food from his hand.
I ate whole he rubbed my feet. I told him about the color scheme he seems happy with it. Seth, I am so happy that we are having this ceremony that he told me he is going to give Archress his black card to buy whatever I want. He sounds like dad; damn I wish my dad could be here to see this.
“Seth what about my dress since I can’t leave here, how will I get a dress?”, I asked.
“We have a dress designer here. How about you look online for some samples of what you want? I will have her come here tomorrow okay”, he said rubbing my ankles.
“That's great thank you so much", I say crying my damn hormones.
“Baby, thank you for being understanding about Archress and including her on our special day”, he is so cute I can tell he has a love for Archress.
“No problem baby she is important to you and Danny, she is important to me”, I said while he kissed my feet.
I can't believe how my life is changing not only will I be the mother of a baby. And a stepmother, an auntie, a mate, pack Luna. A part of me wished I have meet Seth first, but fate have its own plans. There is still one more issue we have never talked about. And that is what will happen if Jason is the biological father of my child.
“Seth”, I moaned.
“Yes, baby”, he said smiling.
“We need to talk about something serious", I said worried about what he might say. Or how he might feel.
“Sure, what is it”, she said eyeing me strangely. I know he might be listening to my heartbeat.
“We know what we are going to do if John is the biological father of the baby. But we never talked about it. Or if Jason is the bio dad", I said.
