**One Week later
Bastet POV:

It has been a week an amazing week. My daughter Cleopatra is the belle of the pack. Many pack women came to see her. Danny on the other hand did not like people being next to her. Stephan joked about them being mates, which caused him to get a punch from Seth. Dad, John's uncle Tom and Jason are still here, he sent everyone else back. They are waiting for the results of the DNA test.
Seth said he could do a smell test but I told him I wanted something more solid and in black and white. My dad loves being here with me and Cleopatra. Jason and Seth bump heads a lot, hopefully, this will all be over soon. Today is the day I am supposed to get the DNA test results. John is still in the dungeons and have not gone to see him yet.
Honestly, I am scared of what those DNA test results will bring. Either John is the father and someday I will have to explain to my daughter why I had to kill her father. And if she is Jason I will have to co-parent with the man I loved my whole life. While I am in a relationship with someone else. Right now, Dad, Seth, Jason, Morton, Stephan, and Gator are going over a peace treaty. Dad wants the peace treaty to be signed before they leave. Sherry has been here to help me, she gave me updates on what's going on since she will have to do my job until I can do it.
“Bas, you are up”, Jason said walking into my room. Yes, my room I got my own room after I gave birth. My dad did not like the idea of me sleeping in a man's room and not being married to him.
“Yeah, I just got done changing Cleo. Here hold her while I take a dump”, I said passing Cleo to him.
“Sure, no problem. Mommy is going to take a dump”, he said in a baby tone to her.
“How did the peace treaty go?”, I asked from the bathroom. Being a mom now I find myself using the bathroom with the door open.
“It's signed, I must say that Alpha is smart. As part of the treaty, we can keep his pack name on the database. But he does not want any of the little information we do have on the pack in the database. There is something else but your dad will have to talk to you about it”, he said still holding Cleo who was looking at him.
Seth is smart I would not have thought about asking for those terms. And to have Dad agree must be nice, usually, we find all the information we can in a pack and keep it for future reference. When I got out of the bathroom, I saw Jason singing our song to Cleo. I could not help the smile that came across my face.
“Jason about the test results”, I said not wanting to have this conversation.
“I know there is a fifty-fifty chance I am not the father. But I pray every day she is mine. I love you Bas, and if she is not mine, I will still love you and her”, he said looking at Cleo.
“Jason, you do know if she is yours, I still won't come back. We can set up a parenting schedule or something. I love you always have and always will but I like Seth also and I won't leave him”, I said trying not to cry.
“I know, I just wish things could be different for us, for her”, he said then kissed Cleo on her forehead.
“Luna Dr. Ily is on his way to Alpha's office”, Honey said.
Jason and I got up and walked to Seth's office still carrying Cleo. When we got there Dad, Seth, Morton, Gator, Stephan, and Sherry were there waiting for us. Dad took Cleo from Jason while we all sat down. Dr. Ily gave me a sealed envelope with the. I opened the envelope and read the results. My heart stopped and I started crying my eyes out. Sherry took Cleo and left the room.
“Bas, baby what's wrong”, Jason asked.
“You....you are not the father Jason”, I looked at him and he had tears in his eyes as well.
“It's okay baby it's okay. That does not mean I love her any less”, he said wiping my tears.
“Bastet I am so sorry baby. I know these are not the results you wanted but at least we know”, Seth said kneeling next to me.
“I...I have to see him. He needs to know and see her before he is executed”, I said in a whisper still in disbelief.
I mean John is lawfully my husband, but Jason and I had more sex than John and I had. Now I have to kill the man who is the father of my child. He will never be a part of her life; she will never have that father-daughter relationship like I have with my dad. I could not stop the tears that came from my eyes.
“Bastet it will be fine you have we are here for you and her”, Dad said.
“Tom you will always have access to your grandniece okay. And I am sorry things have to be this way. Please come with me to bring my daughter to her father”. I said looking at Tom who was on the brink of tears.
“I am ready when you are”, he said.
“No, wait we will have him cleaned up and have someone bring him here”, Seth said.
We left the office and I took Cleo from Sherry and went to my room. I sat on my bed and apologized to my child for having to kill her father. She just looked at me her hand touched my face and she just stared at me.
“Baby, are you okay”, Seth asked taking Cleo from me and rocking her.
“No, I am not okay. I do not want to do it, Seth I do not want to”, I said shaking my head and crying.
“Then do not do it Bastet. You do not have to”, he said.
“If I do not do it, it will be done anyway. It is our way it is our law”, I said.
“I understand think about it before you go through with it”, he said.
“Seth, when I see John, I need to be by myself", I said hoping he would understand.
“Okay, sure whatever you like. But know that we will be outside waiting for you okay”, he said reluctantly.
Seth watched Cleo while I slept. When I got out of the bathroom Danny was with him gently rubbing Cleo's head. I smiled at my boys and my baby girl, I handed Seth a dress to put on Cleo while I got dressed in the closet. When I got out of the closet fully dressed both of my boys looked at me and smiled. I walked with Cleo in my arms and headed to the meeting room. When I got there dad, Morton, Stephan, Tom, Jason, and Gar were waiting outside the door.
