**Robert POV: **
"Boss, there is movement at theback boarders", Orlando announced.
"When and what for?", I asked.
"The she wolf is at the pack entrance", he said.
I turned on the screen to look at the drome feed. It seems that Avaya was granted access to the pack lands and didn't even tell me. It looks like there is a funeral happening. But why is Avaya there crying? She has no family alive as per her file. So why is she there breaking down? Avaya is crying her heart out. So much so a woman and the Alpha hade to comfort her. Jazz is there also. She looks confused as to what is going on.
Than it daned onmy. I didnt thinka bout Jazz. Jazz is Cleo best friend if something was to happen to her Cleo will lsoe her shit. And hate me fore ever. Since Jazz is now female Beta she willnot wan to leave her pack or her mate.
"Orlando, that woman standing there. Make sure all of the men get a picture of her. She is to captureed and kept safe", I ordered.
"Yes, boss will do", he said. Than went to the computer to print out Jazz picture.
As I was watching the video, the drome turned around to come back. The battery was dying, and I wouldn't be able to finish the video. Plus, I want to hear what is being said. McKee thought she was hiding something and once the drome charge, I will find out what it is. WE both have secrets buti want to know all of hers. Maybe it is something I can use against her. Clearly what ever is going on can be used as a weakness.
"Robert", I heard McKee call.
"Yes, Sir, what can I do for you?", I asked him, hoping he would not intrude on my plans.
"Was just wondering about your wife's family. How come no one came looking for her", he asked.
"All of her family is dead. I am her only family", I said, looking at her picture.
“Yeah, I remember you saying that. So, you never looked into what happened to them?”, he asked.
“No, I never thought about it”, I said.
“Why not?”, he asked.
“Because I didn’t want that kind of knowledge honestly. She never went into detail about it. That one time I did ask her about it she looked to hurt to talk about. So, I let it go”, I said sounding as honest as I could.
"And once you found out you would ahve to tell Cleo all you knew. I get it sometimes it is best to give the woman you love informationt that could hurt her", he said nodding in approval.
"And on top of that she didn't know what I did for a living", I said.
"I am sure you saved her some heart ache", he said.
"I think I did. As well as save her from having to relive that trama", I said.
"It's not long until New Year's Day. You will have your family back soon, plus three more" he says with a laugh.
"Yup, we will be a family of five", I said, smiling. Any children that come from Cleo I will love no matter who fathered them.
"You know you have my support for raising three were babies", he said.
"Well thank you, Sir", I said with pride.
We sat, drank, and talked until the drone alerted us that it was fully charged. I cut it on and loaded the footage to the laptop. When the feed starts, I don't see Cleo anywhere. I saw Avaya and the Alpha, Beta, and two other people. As we continue to watch, I am shocked to find out this is a funeral for Avaya and that Alpha's child.
She never told me about any of this. I am beyond pissed now it is clear her plan is for revenge and not to get her man back. I looked at McKee and he could tell I had no idea how deep their history was.
"So, this is the secret she has been keeping from you", McKee said.
"I guess no wonder she is persistent about getting him back", I said.
"You know this is going to affect your mission. You might have to kill him to get your wife back and there is no way in hell she will let that happen”, he said. And I know he is one hundred percent correct.
“I have been prepared to kill her after all of this is over from day one”, I said.
“Are you going to confront her about it?", McKee said, watching the footage.
"Nope”, I said.
“Did you ever find out where her and the rogues are living?", he asked.
“No, I used the drome but couldn’t find anything", I said.
“You should try the underground. I remember a rogue camp being underground at one of my old missions”, he said.
“They will come out at some point. And when they do your team will take them out. Him and her as well once I have Cleo out safely", I said, sipping the amber liquid in my glass.
"That we will do", he said nodding.
I wonder where Cleo is. I mean it is clear why she was not in attendance. But I would have loved to see her. Last time i saw her she was glowing. Every once in a while I look at all the footage I have of her. I like watching he belly grow. I can't wait untill she is carrying my children. I see us being a family of ten in the future. I know that might be alot. But her and I make two. Plus the three she is carrying thats five. Than I am willing to have five children of our own.
Watching the screen I can see she is getting bigger as the day goes by. Our doctor looked at her picture and said she looked like she is ready to pop. I just hope she doesn’t go into labor before I can get her out.
