***Vintage POV:***
I had enough of watching all of this shit happen from Valenzano’s eyes. I took control. It is clear the only way to settle this is my way. Cleopatra is too nice about this. And Valenzano is fighting the urge to kill this asshole. He doesn’t want to hurt Cleopatra.
We stood there and stared at each other. Cleo starts to wake up and the look of love on his face when he looks at her is pissing me off. He backs up slowly and places her on the couch and sits next to her as she wakes up. Her stomach growls loudly. My pups are hungry and this hunter is pissing me off. Cleo opens her eyes and calls for me. My heart swells as anger floods Robert's face.
"Valenzano", she calls as she looks around. I didn’t want o give away to the hunter that I am in control. So, I pay it cool.
"Hey, baby come here", I said to her. She doesn't realize Robert is still here and I want her away from him as soon as possible. She attempts to get up but Robert stops her and I growl, shaking the windows.
"Robert what the hell, get off me", she says as she pushes him and walks towards me. As soon as she is in my arms, I hugged her while looking into Robert's eyes. He is dead. Cleo will just have to be mad at me. I am going to kill him today. I rubbed her stomach and ran towards Robert. I grab him by the neck and push him against the wall.
"STOP, PLEASE!", she screams. The next thing I know, she is trying to pull me off him.
"Cleopatra I can't he has to die TODAY", I said to her without taking my eyes off him.
"No! you can't kill him...let him go now please". I reluctantly let him go but stood between them.
"Robert, I need you to go, please", she said to him.
"Baby, I will go if you can tell me, you don't love me anymore", he said, looking me straight in the eyes.
"Robert, don't do this. Just leave. I promise he won't hurt you", Cleopatra said, looking at him with pleading eyes. It is clear she cares for him.
"Tell him, Cleopatra, tell him you don't love him", I am trying to. Hold a strong expression, but inside my heart is breaking. If she didn't love him, she would have said it.
"She can't because she still loves me", Robert said, and that was all it took. I grabbed him by his neck, took him to the flight of stairs, and threw him down all while Cleopatra is screaming.
"WHY THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT", she yelled at me once we got back into the apartment. I pulled out my phone and texted one of the pack warriors to come with three others to help with the move. She never comes back here. I am trying to keep my cool and not go off on her. She is lucky she is pregnant.
"FUCKING ANSWER ME VINTAGE", she said as she slapped my phone out of my hand.
"BECAUSE IT NEEDED TO BE DONE. NOW SIT YOUR ASS DOWN AND GET READY TO EAT", I say, fighting to keep Valenzano back. He wants to hug and kiss her. But she needs tough love from me.
"No, it didn't....it was just your Alpha ego and pride taking the lead again", she says as she rubs her stomach and drank water.
"No, it wasn't he was trying to take you from me. I came back with the food you were in his arms, and he was heading towards the door. Baby, if I didn't come back when I did you might have been gone", I said with pain just thinking about it.
"I'm not hungry anymore. I want to go to sleep. Can we go", she says as she gets up from the table.
"STOP!', I commanded her, "SIT YOUR ASS DOWN AND EAT. THE PUPS ARE HUNGRY SO YOU WILL EAT BEFORE WE LEAVE UNDERSTOOD". I used my Alpha tone with her and she obeyed and sat down and started to eat. We ate in silence, but she did not tell Robert she didn't love him.
"Ask her or I will", Valenzano says.
"I don't want to ask her. You heard her she couldn't tell him she didn't love him”, I said to him.
"So, you want to live the rest of your life hoping she will not leave us for him or wishing she was with him...or wishing she gave him one more chance", Valenzano says, getting aggravated.
"She loves us.... she is having our pups....she said earlier she wanted us to be her husband. Chill the fuck out", he is right and it's aggravating the shit out of me.
"Cleo", I asked, and she huffs and looked at me.
"Valenzano, please don't ask what you are about to ask me", she says with pleading eyes. It hurts me. I want to ask her, or it will eat at me.
"Do you love him", I asked, looking her in the eyes.
"Valenzano, I do love him not the way I love you. At one point in my life, he was my everything. My father, friend, protector, teacher, lover, and husband. What he did and what I, have been thought don’t erase what he WAS to me. And I will always love him for that. But this our family means more to me than what Robert and I HAD"
" Then you need to have that conversation with him because he clearly doesn't understand you don't love or want him anymore", I said, fighting sure to find him and kill him.
"Valenzano and Vintage, I love you, not because we are mates, not because of the children, but I love you. No matter how much I try to fight it, I am in love with you", she said looking at me with love in her eyes.
Before I knew it, I was on my knees. I took off my family ring and placed it on her ring finger" Cleopatra Nori, will you do me the honor by making me the happiest man in the world by being not just my mate but my wife", I watch as tears fell from her eyes.
"YES!...YES!...YES!...I will", she says as she kisses me.
"I know this ring is too big for you...but I promise I will get you the biggest ring money can buy", I say as my lips refuse to leave hers.
"It's a bit big", she says with a laugh, and she plays with the ring.
"I know I will get one that fits", I said.
"No rush. In the meantime, I will put it with my locket and wear it around my neck", she says as she takes her necklace off and puts the ring on the necklace. It stings a little seeing her wearing the necklace he gave her, but I understand.
She continues to eat and once the warriors arrive, and they pack the boxes into the cars. I mind link them about Robert so they can be on guard. I am not sure if he is still in the area, but I want to make sure just in case he comes back with reinforcements. The ride to the pack lands was filled with joy. Cleopatra couldn't stop smiling.
