After getting information from my team, I was made aware that Cleo is in fact in the pack lands right now. Jazz and a guy named West had a mating ceremony. From what the report says, West is the Beta of the pack and is also the Alphas Alpha Brother. As I remember, West was the other person that night, me and I had dinner, so now everything makes sense.
The reports also say that the whole world now knows that Cleo is pregnant and that she is the Alpha's mate. Fuck, this just made things complicated. However, it does explain his actions that night. I need a drink and to call another team meeting. If Cleo is in fact his mate, he won't let her go without a fight which I am happy to give to him, but if I kill him it will affect Cleo as well and I don't want her hurt.
"Boss, we found a she-wolf lurking around the camp. She says she wants to speak to you", I heard one of the guards say.
"Bring her in", walked in is a tall, slender blonde.
"Hello, my name is Avaya", she says with a smirk.
"And what can I do for you, Avaya?", I am interested in why a she-wolf would walk into a Hunter's camp.
"It's more about how we can help each other. I was a member of the Pinot Blood Moon pack before your bitch of a wife took my man., she said with anger.
"And how is it that we can help each other?", I asked, trying to play it cool. It's clear she knows a lot more than she leads on.
"Well, judging by the surveillance you have on the pack. You want your wife back and I want Valenzano back as well, so maybe we can help each other", she said.
"You said you were a member of the pack”, I passed her a drink. Brown liquor always loosens lips.
"I was kicked out because that bitch Cleo made Valenzano turn against me", she said and I can tell she is holding in her rage.
"So, let me get this straight, you a she-wolf, coming to me, a Hunter, for help, because the people we love are loving each other", I summarized what he said.
"Yup", she said, then took a swig of the brown liquid.
"Well, that Valenzano must be some kind of guy", I said with a smirk.
"He is, are we going to help each other, or what I don't have all day", she said with an attitude.
"And what makes you think I will let you out of here alive", I said with a grin.
"Because if you don't, the people I have waiting for me will tell Valenzano your location if I am not out of here by sun up", she says as she gets up and pours herself another glass.
"People?", so she is not alone.
"Yes, rogues, I plan to use them as foot soldiers as a distraction to get into the pack lands", she said crossing her legs as she sat.
"Let me make this clear, if we do team up, I want Cleo back unharmed. You can do whatever you want with Valenzano. But Cleo is mine", I said in a demanding tone.
"Agreed", she says with an evil smile. I know she will try to hurt Cleo, but I will use her as a means to an end.
We talked more about our plan. She tells me the information I didn't know about Valenzano. She also tells me that she knows all the secret passageways in the castle. That would be a good way for me to sneak in and grab Cleo.
She left right before sun up. Once she was gone, I had my team find out all there is to know about her so I know whom I am dealing with. After four hours, a report on Avaya was delivered to me.
