Chapter 16: The Devil is a Queen

The radio in the old, busted car blared rap music during our drive. The driver still had his foot pushing the pedal close to the floor. Not only was he speeding, but this car was so wrecked that it easily swung around over the tiniest twitches of the steering wheel. Mason howled as the car almost flipped onto its side for the fifth time. The bass from the music thundered so loud that it felt like an earthquake in your head from a mile radius. Every single person in the neighborhood looked at the rusted car with their eyes so wide that I was waiting for the balls to pop out of their sockets and their dropped jaws to fall to the ground.

“FUCK, DUDE, SLOW THE FUCK DOWN BEFORE WE GET PULLED OVER! THERE’RE ACTUAL COPS IN THESE NEIGHBORHOODS! YOU WANNA DICK UP YOUR ASS?!” I shouted over the brain-rattling music while taking another huff from my minty cigarette.

“DO I GOTTA TICK ON MY ASS?!” Jack shouted back at me, he clearly didn’t hear me over the music.

“SHE SAID SLOW DOWN BEFORE YOU GET JAIL TIME, IDIOT!” Alex shouted next, the man could only hear me because he was sitting directly behind me, leaning so far forward that he could rest his blocky chin on my slim shoulder.

“OH! IN THAT CASE—” Jack shifted gears into a slot I didn’t see before flooring it at a higher speed, the car launched forward so fast that it sent all of us slamming into the back of our seats. The car zoomed so fast that the small hills and tiny potholes sent the worn-down vehicle bouncing into the air so high that we came inches off of our seats along with it. I laughed my lungs out with each flight, my hair flying all over the place and in my face since the windows were all the way down. What I could see through my strands was the tiny, clean neighborhoods fly by so fast that they almost blurred and gradually our surroundings turned darker and filthier. The white mansions and lush, green yards turned into abandoned buildings, closed shops, and trash littered everywhere. The people in their button-up shirts, tight jeans, and frilled dresses turned into people wearing baggy clothes that looked like they hadn’t been washed in months.

Yeah, this is more I like it.

When Jack parked his car in the spot he usually does and, like always, the engine started smoking but we didn't do anything about it and just head off down the street to the joint the rest of our gang would hang out at.

I kicked down trashcans that were in my way and sent the garbage flying everywhere as we howled our existence. The homeless people quickly scurried into their tents as soon as they heard us coming or ran as soon as they saw my face. We were a pack of feral wolves and I was the alpha. Each place my foot stepped upon was my territory. Even with the swing of my wide hips under my exposed small waist, not even men dared stare upon my beauty.

We ended up seeing a couple of boys that looked to be a little bit younger than me. They leaned up against the side of a shady grocery store, the duo smiled as if they were up to no good with cigarettes in their mouths and something white in their hands.

Now that looks familiar.

The two looked up when they saw the four of us approaching. A pretty-faced woman with three burly men walking behind me immediately alarmed them and they made a beeline down the ally.

Oops. Was I grinning again? I need to stop doing that…

Unlike my friends, I was built for speed and I knew this place like the scars on my body. The boys ran around blindly to the point the idiots ran into a dead end and by the time they spun around to take a different path, I had already caught up to them and did a roundhouse kick into one of their shoulders, sending him flying into his buddy and they both fell to the ground with what sounded like a painful thud.

The two tried to crawl away from me but gave up as soon as my friends caught up to me. One of the boys rummaged through their pocket and pulled out their wallet, his hand shaking so violently that it reminded me of a dead tree branch fighting strong wind. “H- here! Take it! Take all of it! Please, don’t hurt us!”

Mason snickered with amusement as he elbowed Jack and whispered in his ear. “This one looks like he’s ‘bout to piss himself.”

I took slow strides toward the young adults, making them flinch and stiffen up with fear. I was clearly targeting the one offering his wallet. Being a fairly short female, I was able to lean down towards the boy's face without having to bend my knees. He got the perfect view of my large breasts and shamelessly stared at them with flushed cheeks. I smirked.

You lil perv.

I keep that unimportant thought to myself as I gently place my hand on his cheek. I could feel his body briefly relax before my grip tightened, making him jolt as I roughly rubbed my thumb across the bottom of his nose before releasing him. I shaped my hand into what looked like I was giving him a thumbs-up but there was white powder smeared on my thumb. “I wanna know where the fuck you got this shit.”

He instantly points down the ally. “A- at the hostel! Next to the strip club!”

I heard Mason snort and whispered something to Jack again that I didn’t bother listening in on. I figured it had something to do with this pathetic duo visiting the strip club before seeing the man I was hunting.

I then gave him a sweet smile in my own twisted way while patting his cheek. “That’s mommy’s good boy.” As I bent back up, I snatced up his wallet in the process. “I’ll be taking that.” I give the duo a wave of his wallet as if I were waving goodbye while walking away with my friends. “As a reward, I’ll allow you to have wet dreams about me in your nightmares tonight. Happy doin’ business with ya motherfuckers.” The boys still looked as terrified as if they had just seen the devil crawl out from beneath their beds and the one I had touched was still a blushing mess despite his frightened expression.

Alex whistled as if he had just seen a man get kicked in the crotch as we made our way towards the hostel. “Damn, SuSu, you’re a savage, ya know that?”

I toss our new wallet over my shoulder and into his hands. “Nothin’ wrong with bein’ a villain' every now and again. Now c’mon, we got a mouse to squeal.”

It looked as if the customers made their purchase a few minutes ago because a certain dealer was packing up his suitcase full of goodies in the hostel’s parking lot. I took the liberty of separating from my pack during the hunt.

Richie was still dressed in his stupid black trench coat with a black fedora. But as soon as he saw my boys, he sprinted away in a flash, heading for the cars. But this isn’t the first time we caged our prey. He ended up running circles between the cars until the three were on all sides of him and his back was pressed against a car. His hands were raised pathetically. “W- w- wait! Just wait a minute! W- we can come to a deal, right?? You can take anything you want! Anything! Just, please!!”

Richie jumped as the car gave a loud thud and bounced behind him. As he spun around, his eyes flew wide and he gasped in terror when he saw my face. I was crouched on the top of the car, sitting on my heels with one elbow resting on my knee. I like to pretend that I’m Spiderman sometimes.

His knees shook as he cowered beneath my looming body. My smile stretched from ear to ear as my eyes dilated severely while tilting my head. “Oh, don’t worry, Richie. We’ll be taking EVERYTHING. Business is business, right, baby?”

Right after that, I punched him so hard in the face that I heard his nose crack behind my fist and his blood lingered on my fingers. He fell backwards into the dirt but my boys didn't touch him. He’s all mine. As he struggled to stand up, he gasped and moved his hands quickly as I jumped off of the car and almost landed on both of them. I sat down on his crotch in a position that looked like I was riding him. His blushing cheeks turned pale as a ghost as I slid my knife out of my pocket and twirled it in front of his face. Before he could react, Jack and Mason held his arms down while Alex kept his legs still.

“SUKIA!” He screamed my name but with a single click, my silver blade popped out of its handle and he went dead silent. I then proceeded to grab a chunk of his shirt and cut the whole thing straight down the middle, leaving his chest and torso exposed.

“THIS is what happens to people who cross ME.” I snarled my words as I stabbed my knife into his chest. Not nearly deep enough to wound him, but definitely deep enough to leave a scar. He screamed in pain as I carved an S on his chest. As soon as I was finished giving him his punishment, I licked his blood off of my blade and then grabbed his face roughly, squishing his cheeks so that his mouth would open and I could give him a fierce kiss. My tongue ran across his, leaving a trail of his blood behind for him to taste. I then gave him a frisky slap and snatched up his black fedora hat as I stood up.

There was a wickedness that glowed in my green eyes as I smiled like I was the devil himself. I give Richie a wink before putting his fedora on my head and pulling the tip down till it concealed my eyes. “I like doin’ business with ya. Let’s do it again, yeah?”

Once again, Richie pissed himself as I stepped over him and walked away, cackling with my boys and giving them a high-five. Like everyone else who’s ever crossed me, he’ll probably leave town faster than the wind.

Fuck, I missed this!

The chaos in my soul and fire in my veins was brought back to life now that I was back in the place I considered where I belonged. We took Richie’s suitcase full of goodies and went back to our gang’s joint. It didn’t take long to sell everything inside the suitcase. There was so much that I took the opportunity to cut open a bag and swing it around like a cowboy with rope, making powder fly all over the place as I gave a random war cry. It was nothing but laughter, alcohol, blaring music, and money for the next couple of hours.

I start to come down from my high as I bob my head to the music. I didn’t need drugs to soften my insides, the bass from rap music gave me all the vibrating shock I wanted. I drop the dollars I was counting to the ground with an annoyed sigh.

“Fucking hell. It’s not like this cash matters anymore. Not with where I live now.” I grumbled with annoyance. Living in a wealthy mansion took the fun out of being a thief.

Alex laughed at me. “Seriously?! Suk, you literally got access to thousands of dollars and you’re complaining?!”

I grunted with a little shrug of my shoulders while looking away. It’s not like he’d understand anyway. To me, there’s no point in living if you’re not surviving. Where’s the fun in that?

“Huh,” Mason said while looking at his phone and then he looked at me with surprise. “You’re inviting Amy here? I thought you didn’t like it when she walks these streets on her own.”

“I did what the fuck now??” I almost choked on my cigarette as I hurriedly looked at my phone.

Dead. FUCK.

I looked back to Mason urgently. “What did she say??”

“She said she’ll be here in a few minutes. And I just noticed this text a few minutes ago soooo…” Mason then looked me up and down. I looked like an utter mess with white dust still smeared on my hands from acting like a lunatic swinging around drugs.

“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” I went to the nearest person, unfortunately, that was Jack, and started wiping my hands on his back in an attempt to clean them.

“Ah! AHHHH!” He screamed in protest while Alex laughed at us.

“SuSu, you got it in your hair too!”

“Oh, fuck me, man!” I grumbled with irritation as I started to futilely shake my hair but I froze right as I heard a cute, feminine voice.

“Suki!” Amy called with a wave as she walked over. Everyone in the gang stepped aside to let her walk through. They knew that she was my prized possession in this part and that she was to be protected at all costs.

I leaped to my feet as soon as I saw her and hurried over. “Damn it, Amy, I told you not to come out here on your own!”

“But I didn’t. Your boyfriend escorted me.” Amy said with a little blush.

“My what now?” I’m completely baffled until I saw a certain man walk up beside Amy. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped the same way the wealthy folks did when we drove through the east-side of the city. Even my cigarette fell out of my mouth as I stared up at him.
