Chapter 59

MIRIAM'S POV
There was this weight I felt and I hope someone could just come pick it off my shoulders.
It wasn't just my shoulders it rested on my whole body.
I tried to shake it off hoping it would just fall down and maybe someone else would pick it up but no it didn't I still felt it.
Apart from the weight I heard noises around and all these disturbed me.
All I needed was some quiet and Peace but I couldn't get it anywhere around here.
I tried to move my body and even stand up but I just couldn't because everything holding me back was stronger than I was and at this point in time my strength failed me.
I pitied myself because I have not recovered from the trauma I got as a result of the death of my child. The only good thing that happened to me within this time is the restoration of my position as alpha. I did as much as I am grateful for this. I felt I deserved more owing to the kind of effort I have put into everything.
I said using my hand to push the weight of me then I realised that I was lying down so I tried to stand up but I couldn't so for restart and decide to open my eyes.
I opened my eyes and saw that I was still lying on my bed and I wondered how long I have been lying down here.
The room was empty and I was all alone. So I had stand up and move out.
Before I got to the door, it flung open and Daniel walked in. I stopped moving forward as soon as I saw the door open and he walked up to me and hugged me tight.
"I have missed you." He whispered in my ears and his breath moved straight to my eardrums and tickled me. So I moved my body and he laughed and held my waist.
"Good morning Daniel." I greeted him as I pulled out of his arms although he didn't let go of me he held me by my waist and you look straight into my eyes.
"Let's go downstairs." He said and I gave him a weak smile and he let me to the door while still holding my waist.
Daniel is a complete gentleman open the door for me and allowed me move first.
As we got outside the door, he swept me off my feet and carried me downstairs.
Ivy, Cherry and Trish were all standing in the living room probably waiting for my arrival.
I wave to them while still in Daniel's arms until he dropped me in one of the couches.
"How do you feel now?" Jerry asked me as soon as I got to sit down and I smiled at her.
I later told them that I was fine and they all showed some level of happiness for me.
Shortly after that we heard the knock on the door and Ivy went to get the door. It was a doctor that walked in with a nurse accompanying him.
They're all greeted the doctor and the nurse while I waved at them because I was too weak to even open my mouth.
The doctor came straight to me after exchanging pleasantries with them and started examining me.
I sit quietly and allowed him do what he wanted with my body by the time he was done he assured everyone that I was in perfect condition but that they had to keep an eye on me since I was not very stable yet.
They all agreed to watch over me and take perfect care of me. Then the doctor administered a few injections and also gave me some drugs.
Trish started bombarding me with lots of food and fruits while everyone encouraged me to eat.
When the doctor is done he requested that Cherry follows him to the hospital.
Then I became very inquisitive because I was wondering what will take her to the hospital. If there is anyone that should go to the hospital it should be me.
"So why is Cherry going to the hospital?" I wondered but I could not ask anyone.
Maybe she's not fine and they're trying to hide it from me since I was not so good as well, so I decided not to take it as a big deal anymore.
Ivy had to accompany her although they never stated the reason.
I suspected foul play but I tried as much as I could not to bother myself about it.
When they had gone out I had to ask Daniel who was busy pampering me why do we are going to the hospital.
"Cherry trying so hard to get pregnant, she has an appointment with the doctor today." He stated and immediately I felt bad that she had to put in so much effort to have a baby.
"She really doesn't have to bother herself that much she will definitely get a child if that's all she really wants." The responded and Daniel nodded as she continued to massage my feet.
Then I began to think about my own child and wished it did not die. Cherry would have probably been his nanny since I might not have all the time to take care of him.
"Don't you think you should have followed her to the hospital?" I asked Daniel but he smiled and said his duty was to take care of me.
"What would I have done without you Daniel?" I replied as I lifted my hands and touched his face.
He held my hands that was still on his face and also gave me a beautiful smile.
"You are strong and I'm sure you would have done everything even without me." He responded and I guess that was to make me happy and yes he succeeded because I felt lighter.
"It wouldn't have been this easy if I never had you on my side thank you so much." I appreciated him and he dropped her leg that was on his lap came closer to me and pulled me into his arms.
"I think we should plan a vacation you need to rest your head after all of this." He suggested and I asked him how many persons will be going for this vacation.
I've never known Daniel to be lazy but for the first time he was acting like one.
"So who is going to take care of the pack when we are all gone?" I asked him.
"We are never going to be here forever but the pack would so don't bother you little head." He assured me as he planted a kiss on my forehead.
