"I don't think that where I've been has anything to do with this. I already said that I'm not going to try to run" Allen said.
"And I said that I don't believe you! You have to tell me where you've been. Why did you come back with Paul?" Raymond asked. Oops. It seems that he had let it slip.
Allen looked at Raymond strangely. She had picked up something from his words. Paul did drop her off. She only mentioned Paul to him once. He did not tell her that he knows Paul. Paul did not tell her anything about knowing Raymond either. Did the both of them meet without her knowing.
"What is going on here? You've met Paul? How do you know him?" Allen asked
Raymond sighed. It seems that there isn't a way for him to hide it any longer. "Do you think that if there's someone that I want to know, I won't get to know them? I should at least know the person who dared to mess with me right? So tell me, why did you come here with him today?" Raymond asked her.
Allen felt that this man was really good with his words. He instantly made himself to be the victim with a few words. Whatever. It wasn't as if she could argue with him anyway. They were the ones who dared to decieve him to begin with. They had to deal with the consequences of that. She could not say
"I did come back with Paul. But I don't think that has anything to do with you" Allen said.
"What do you mean by it had nothing to do with me? It has everything to do with me! Who knows if he's going to help you escape?" Raymond asked her.
Allen felt like she was groin to shout. What does this man want from her exactly today? And Paul definitely isn't that kind of person. He isn't someone who is going to run away from his responsibilities. He will always take responsibility for everything that he did. He won't try to do something like that.
"He won't run away! Paul is definitely not someone like that!" Allen said.
Raymond scoffed. He isn't someone like that? He is someone who for fooled by that woman Joanna! What kind of person can he actually be? And why is Allen defending him so much?
"What do you mean by he is not that kind of person? He is someone who dared to find someone to pretend to be Joanna so that he could fool me. What good could that kind of person even have in the first place? Do you even know what you are talking about?" Raymond asked her.
Allen was angry that Raymond was talking about Paul like this. "He didn't do this because he wanted me to get married to you! It's because he was worried about his friend. He was worried that the career of his friend was going to be affected if you found out that she ran away because she did not want to get married to you!" Allen said. Even though she was starting to strongly believe that Joanna did not run away, she did not know what Raymond was thinking and so she could only use this excuse.
Raymond was even more angry now. "What? He was protecting his friend who ran away because she did not want to get married to me? Do you really think that I'm the kind of man that a woman would be scared to get married to?" Raymond asked. How did Paul become the dashing hero and he the villain?
"What do you think? I think that any woman would be scared to have anything to do with you! I can understand why Joanna ran away now!" Allen said. She too was angry now and she no longer cared about her words. It seemed like she was on a mission to annoy the man standing in front of her. She wanted him to know what it felt like to be messed with.
"What?! You....! So are you saying that you don't want to have anything to do with me?! You want to run too?" He asked her.
"What do you think? I really don't want to be here with you! I want to be as far away from you as possible! But I can't even run because I...!" Allen did not get to finish her words.
Before she could realize what was going on, a pair of lips crashed down on hers and started ravishing her.
It took Allen a second to realize that she was being kissed right now by Raymond! Wait, what the hell is going on right now?

Paul was in his room. He was looking at a picture. The picture was quite old. Obviously, it was taken quite some time ago. In it, were his younger self and a younger Joanna.
He had always thought that Joanna was a person that he knew more than he knew himself. He had been with her for a long time. He had seen how she grew up.
He had thought that she was the most pitiful person in the world. He had seen how she went into the world at an early age. He had watched how she was bullied at first but then she slowly made her way to become someone so successful.
Paul really thought that he knew this woman called Joanna. How is it that right now, he wasn't sure about what he knew anymore? Why did he feel like he no longer knew Joanna Anderson? Why did things change so much?
If Joanna did not run away, then where is she? How is he going to find her? He knew that he needed to find her if he wanted to know what www really going on here.

Meanwhile at this time, Joanna was lying on the bed in the hospital when Julia walked in.
"Mom" Joanna called out.
