Chapter 39

Joanna was sitting in front of Raymond in his office. She had a big smile plastered on her face. "So, when are we getting married?" She asked.
Raymond glared at her. He was really starting to hate the sight of this woman. She never spared any efforts when it came to annoying. She just walked into his office creating a scene. She even went around all the departments making sure that everyone recognized her as Mrs Walker. She really is an actress. She knew how to go the extra mile! Can't she live without a bit of attention? "What do you think that you are doing right now?" Raymond asked. She really is something else
Joanna turned to face him and smile at him. She could see that he was losing his patience with her but she did not care at all. After all , the both of them are going to be married soon. He will have to get used to her being like this! Just thinking about how she is going to marry this man in front of her and make him fall completely head over heels for her made Joanna happy. Since it's something that she said that she will do,she is going to do it right? She is definitely going to make him fall in love with her. It really shouldn't be that of a big deal.
Joanna completely ignored what he said to her just now. That did not matter at all! What matters is the fact that she is going to get married to him really soon! "You don't need to be so mean to me. After all,you and I are going to get married soon. I didn't think that you were gonna to take action so soon but since you already announced it to everyone then there is no need for us to continue to beat around the bush. When are we going to hold the wedding?" Joanna asked. She needs to start living with him as soon as possible.
Raymond looked at her. It seemed as if she did not hear the words that he said to her just now. She is just doing basically whatever she wants to do! Who does she think that she is? To make things worse, it seems as if words don't get through to this woman! He just asked her what she is doing right now in his company but she ignored him and went ahead to ask about the wedding date! It seemed like he wasn't clear enough with the terms of the marriage. He will have to talk to her again.
"It seems like I haven't made myself clear enough Miss Joanna. You and I, we are not really getting married. There is no way that I want to be married to a woman like you. It's just going to last for six months. You don't need to put so much time and energy into something like this! Don't make me angry" Raymond said. She was already making him angry but because of his grandfather he had to put up with it. Joanna Anderson, doesn't she know when to stop? How can she annoy him so much? He is so pissed off right now!
Joanna felt a little bit hurt. She already knew the terms for the both of them getting married, he doesn't have to make it sound like that! And besides, he is the one who came to her and suggested this marriage. Sure she wants to get married to him and she already has plans to do that but he is still the one who came to her and suggested this! How can he make it sound like she is forcing him! But Joanna has great self control. She has been in the entertainment industry for quite some time and she learnt her self control from there.
So even though she was feeling really angry with this person now, she held back her temper. She is going to marry him soon and he is going to fall in love with her soon, she just has to be patient. Losing her temper right now in front of him won't be beneficial for her in any way at all! "You should know Mr Walker that I am a very busy person. I really don't have the time to be here. But we had an agreement. For the next six months, we are going to be a married couple. We should at least do it properly right? We should get it done and over with as soon as possible!" Joanna said.
Raymond scoffed. He could see through her immediately. He really hated women like this the most in the entire world. She is doing this again. Pretending not to care and not to be interested but she is already banking everything on getting married to him. Actually, Raymond knew that Joanna had her own plans for wanting to get married to him. She is a woman with her own pride after all. Will she be willing to get insulted by him like this? The answer is no! She won't be willing to do it if she did not have her own plans.
It was just that Raymond was ready to take the gamble with her. He was ready to do it for the sake of his grandfather. For some reason, he really likes this woman. He has to make sure that his grandfather gets better, and that he finds her. "I just thought that I should remind you on the terms of our marriage. You and I will never be a married couple. All of this is going to end in the next six months and we will act as if we never knew each other. It's just that I feel that you are taking things more seriously than it is!" Raymond said.
Joanna felt a little bit hurt. She already knew the terms for the both of them getting married, he doesn't have to make it sound like that! And besides, he is the one who came to her and suggested this marriage. Joanna was doing everything to hold back her anger. What does he think that is saying right now? She is taking things more seriously than it is? Joanna hated the fact that he could see through her immediately but for some reason, that seemed to make her like him more and more. Such an excellent man, there is no way that she can let of of him in this life! "Taking things more seriously than it is? I don't think so. I am just a busy person and you know that I still have my career right? I just want to get things over and done with as soon as possible!" Joanna said. She might lose her temper soon if she continues like this.
Raymond still had work to do and he did not want to continue arguing with this woman. She was actually quite right. The both of them are busy person and they should get something like this done and over with as soon as possible. It isn't as if it's something that he is going to enjoy doing so it's better to get it done and over with as soon as possible. As for whatever plans that she has, he is going to make sure that she keeps an eye on her so that she won't be able to cause any problems for him. A woman as calculating and scheming as her, if he did not keep an eye on her, she is going to cause a lot of problems for him. He did not want that.
Actually, Raymond knew that Joanna had her own plans for wanting to get married to him. She is a woman with her own pride after all. Will she be willing to get insulted by him like this? The answer is no! She won't be willing to do it if she did not have her own plans.
It was just that Raymond was ready to take the gamble with her. He was ready to do it for the sake of his grandfather. "Alright, we are both busy. Let's not keep beating around the bush. Let's go get our marriage certificate the day after tommorow. I'll be free then" Raymond said.
Joanna was happy that she finally got a date from the man. But she was still feeling embarrassed. Whenever she is with him, he always find a way to embarrass her and expose all of her plans. But she was just going to put up with it. All of this will be worth it when she finally gets him to fall in love with her. That is the plan after all. After six months, he is going to beg her to stay with him! "Alright, I'll try to make out some time the day after tommorow. Remember that I don't want to hide this marriage. Immediately we get the certificates, I'll post it on my social media page" Joanna said. She really could not do without attention.
Raymond sighed. What did he get himself into?
Joanna walked out of his company. As usual, as soon as she came out there were lots of people greeting her and calling her Mrs Walker. They were trying to get on her good side, she is going to become the madam of this company after all. Of course, they should give her this much attention!
Joanna, after she left the company called Paul but the call was disconnected immediately. That was weird. She did not think much of it. Since she already agreed to marry Raymond, she decided to go pay his grandfather a visit. Joanna entered her car and drove away.
She has been driving for some time when she received a call. It was an unknown number. What is this? The last thing that Joanna remembered was driving her car into a tunnel......
Allen and Paul were still at the hospital. Paul stood outside the ward as Allen walked into her grandmother's room. Paul stood outside the ward watching them. He had to admit that she is a good granddaughter. She cared about her grandmother a lot. Paul took a good look that the woman lying on the bed. He was sure that Joanna did not know the woman inside this room. So this means that Joanna and Allen do not have any connections at all? Then, what is going on?
He just continued to stand outside and look at them. A doctor came out of the room Paul could not help but being curious about Allen and her grandmother. He had an urge to ask the man what is going on. So he stopped the doctor. He knew that he was doing something dangerous. He should not be here right now. He should not be getting involved in this woman's personal life. But he could not help himself. He really wanted to know everything about her. "Doctor, how is the patients Condition?" Paul asked.
The doctor turned to look at Paul. He had not seen this young man around here before. He had to admit that this was the first time someone other than Rita and Allen was caring about the old woman in the room. He really felt that Allen and her grandmother were really pitiful. They did not have anybody. They only have each other and Allen could not even go to college. She had to use that money for the woman's condition. And now, they were barely surviving.
If he had this means, he would help Allen out. She is a really good woman. But there was nothing that he could do. He could only hope that this person can help them. "Who are you? Are you someone who knows them? Well you see that girl Allen, she really is pitiful. Her grandmother, her condition keeps getting worse every day and the only way to save her is a surgery. But her granddaughter will never be able to raise the money needed for the surgery. She keeps trying but I think it's safe to say that everyone should be prepared" The doctor said. He just assumed that Paul was close to them and he told them everything.
Paul was shocked. He did not know this. He just knew that she might be in a bit of difficult situation, but it's really serious.
The doctor did not give him time to think, he immediately continued. "You know, Allen has always been really pitiful. She could not even get to go to college. Her mother had fallen ill a few years ago and she used the college loan she had taken out to pay for her treatment back then. She did not go to college and she is now paying student loan debts. And now, she is sick again. I really feel bad for the girl" The doctor said. He really could not help blabbing to this man even though he did not know who he was fully well.
Paul sighed. The situation is really this serious?
