Chapter 55

Allen nodded her head. "Yes. We registered the marriage without telling him and now everyone knows about our marriage. He wants to see me about that " Allen said. Even though she had heard that Joanna and her uncle hate each other, she still had no idea just how deep that hatred was.
Raymond nodded his head. "I will drop you off there" he offered. He did not to see them at all. Offering to drop them off, be was already doing enough right?
Allen did not say anything. It was not as if she cared anyway. The elevator stopped and the both of them got out.
The both of them had only walked a few steps when they heard someone call out. "Joanna!"
Rita was still in the hospital looking after Allen's grandmother. She knew that since Allen had to pretend to be someone else, it won't be too convinient for her to come see her grandmother everyday. She wasn't blaming Allen though. In fact, she did not think that she would be able to do something like that at all. Allen was ready to sacrifice herself for six months for the sake of her grandmother.
Rita was standing outside her grandmother's ward when she saw someone walk by. Rita was not bothered at first but the person looked really familiar so she looked again. It was her. It was Allen. And she was with a man! Rita was surprised at first but she calmed down when she remembered that she had gotten married.
Rita looked at the man that was with Allen. She could not believe her eyes. She closed them and opened them again. She wasn't dreaming. It was Raymond Walker! Why is Allen with Raymond Walker?! It could not be that the person that Allen got married to is Raymond Walker right?!
Rita shook her head. What kind of situation did her friend get herself into this time? How did she end up having to play the wife of this man? If he finds out that she is pretending to be someone that she is not, and decieving him, he definitely won't let Allen go at all! Everyone knows about Raymond Walker, the cold and ruthless CEO of the the great Helian Group! She won't be able to get out of this that easily!
Rita ran after them. She called out..."All...!" But she did not complete the name. Right now she is pretending to be a woman called Joanna right now. "Joanna!" She called. She really wanted to talk with her friend. What the hell is she doing right now?
Allen was shocked when she heard the name "Joanna!" She was really scared that it was another person that knows Joanna. What is she going to do if she says something wrong again? How is she going to get out of this if she makes a mistake? She turned slowly, thinking about what she is going to do but is happily surprised to see Rita instead. Allen sighed in relief. At least she knew to call her Joanna. How much trouble would she have been in if she had called her Allen instead?
"Rita!" Allen called excitedly. She was really grateful to her friend. She knew that she had been taking care of her mother since she got her surgery. Since she was currently playing the life of another person, she could not go and come as she wanted.
Raymond looked at Joanna. Then he looked at the petite looking woman a little distance from them. "Do you know that woman?" Raymond asked her.
Allen turned to Raymond excitedly. "Yes. She's my friend. I have to go talk to her for a bit. Can you please wait for me in the car?" Allen asked.
Raymond looked at her. He was going through all sorts of things ever since the woman came into his life. Now he had to sit in a car and wait for a woman? Since when did he Raymond have to be some woman's escort? Has she forgotten who he is? And she did not even give him a a chance to reject because she had already walked away to meet there friend of hers. He had no choice. He could only walk to the car to wait as he had been told. Joanna Anderson, is she playing around with him right now?
After Raymond was gone, Rita and Allen found somewhere to sit. Rita did not want at all. She started questioning Allen.
"Allen, when I heard that you had gotten married in the place of someone else, you know I did not say anything because I believe that you knew what you were doing but what the hell is going on her right now? You are married to Raymond Walker?! Of all the people that you could choose to play Raymond Walker?! Don't you really know who that man is? Do you think that he's someone that you will be able to fool? Once he finds out that you are not the person that he was supposed to marry, he definitely won't let you go at all! You won't be able to live an easy life from now on. I really don't want you to get hurt Allen. I think that you should stop this now while you still can. Don't get hurt Allen" Rita said. She was really worried about her friend. What the hell is she thinking? Why does it have to be that man.
Allen stopped for a minute trying to process what her friend was telling her. So she is saying right now that she won't be able to decieve Raymond and that once he finds out he is not going to let her go? Allen felt that Rita was over reacting. She has always been a worry wart anyway. "What are you talking about? I don't think that it's that serious. It won't be for long anyway. I'll be gone before he realizes that I'm the person that he is supposed to marry" Allen said. She just had to be optimistic, or else, what can she do?
Rita looked at Allen. Does she even know what she is talking about? Clearly she does not know who Raymond Walker is. That is why she thinks that it's going to be easy for her to fool the man. "You have got to be kidding me Allen. Do you really not know who Raymond Walker is? He is the CEO of Helian Group! The cold and ruthless CEO of Helain Group! He has never let go of anyone who tried to get in his way. Once he finds that you dared to do something like this to him, he won't let you go at all. Why did you do this? Of all the people that you could choose to play Raymond Walker?! Don't you really know who that man is? Do you think that he's someone that you will be able to fool? Once he finds out that you are not the person that he was supposed to marry, he definitely won't let you go at all! You won't be able to live an easy life from now on. I really don't want you to get hurt Allen. I think that you should stop this now while you still can. Don't get hurt Allen" Rita said. She was really worried about her friend. What the hell is she thinking? Why does it have to be that man. Rita could almost see how it was going to play out for her. Once Raymond finds out that he is being fooled, she won't be getting out of it easily!
Allen looked at Rita. She was starting to take the words that she was telling her seriously. She really did not know much about the man to be precise. She just thought that he was a complete jerk who did not know how to be kind to others. But is she really this scary? "What are you talking about Rita? Tell me something, is he really that scary? He really won't let me go once he finds that out it's all a lie?" Allen asked.
Rita shook her head. So Allen really does not know him? "So you really don't know who Raymond Walker is? I'm telling you Allen, I'm not trying to scare you or anything but once he finds out, it will be the end for you!" Rita said.
Allen was starting to get scared now. So it was true. He really is that cold and heartless?! But she can't stop now right? She can't just walk up to that man and tell him that she is not the real Joanna and that she had been playing him since that day? But since she is afraid of what he is going to do to her she decided to come clean and tell him the truth. She can't tell him something like that right? What is she going to do about this situation? How is she going to get out of this?
Allen thought of something. The marriage between Raymond and Joanna, she already knew that it wasn't real. They were supposed to break up in six months time. He actually doesn't care about her so as long as she does nothing and stays out of his way, he won't be able to figure out that she isn't Joanna right? "Rita, you don't have to worry. He won't find out that I'm not the real Joanna" Allen assured her friend.
Rita looked at her in confusion. What is she talking about? How is she so sure that he won't find out? "Do you even know who he is? How can you be so sure that a man like that won't find out that you are playing him?" Rita asked.
Allen smiled. She could not tell Lena or Paul but she could clearly tell Rita about it right? "You don't have to worry about it. You see the marriage between Raymond and Joanna, it's not real at all. I don't know what really happened but they were supposed to break up after six months. It means that the both of them don't really love each other right? As long as I stay out his way he won't find out that I'm not the real Joanna" Allen said. She already had everything planned out in her head.
Rita looked at her. What is this? She had heard so many crazy stories from Allen that she wasn't even supprised at all. So the marriage that she is supposed to hold on to for six months isn't even real? What is really going on with these rich people? "What is really going on with these rich people? How can someone just get married and then a get a divorce after six months? I really don't understand this madness at all!" Rita said.
Allen laughed. She thought that it was madness too! She suddenly got serious. She knew that Rita has been taking care of her grandmother for her. "Rita, I'm really sorry that I'm making you do something like this. You have been taking care of my grandmother. It's something that I should be doing myself but I..." Her voice trailed off.
"You don't need to thank me for anything Allen. I want to do this for you. Besides, you are giving six months of your life away so that your grandmother can get the treatment. Of course I understand that you cannot be her all the time. You don't need to feel bad for it. I'm okay doing something like this for you. Besides, your granmother has been so nice to me before. It's the least that I can do for her. You just need to remember to take care of yourself. Don't get caught and don't get in trouble. Take care of yourself" Rita said.
Allen nodded her head. Without being told, she knew that she needs to be careful for the next six months or she is going to be in some really serious trouble. She can't risk that at all. "Of course I will be careful. Remember to take care of yourself too. Thanks for being here Rita" Allen said.
