Allen felt her heart sink to her stomach when she heard that. What does he mean by that? What does he mean by she is not her? Does he already know that she is not Joanna? This isn't good at all! If he already found out that she is not Joanna after being with her for only a few minutes then what is she going to do? How is she going to keep up with the ruse of pretending to be Joanna? Allen looked up at his face. He did not seem to be looking at her. He seemed like his mind was rather occupied and he was thinking about something. .
What could he be thinking about? How he is going to deal with her for pretending to be someone that she is not and daring to decieve him? But if he already knows that she is not Joanna why hasn't he said anything? Is he trying to make her confess herself with suspense? Allen decided to give it a try. "What do you mean by I am not her? Of course I am Joanna the woman that you married. What are you talking about?" Allen asked. She looked at him hoping for some reaction but he only looked at her with a puzzled expression on his face.
Raymond looked at Joanna. He really was confused with this new attitude of hers. What really had happened to her? Ever since he picked her up from her place in the morning she had been acting all weird. When did he say that she is not Joanna? Of course she is Joanna. She is not just that person that he was looking for. Raymond found himself wanting to explain to her so that she doesn't misunderstand. But he was able to stop himself on time. What is he thinking of doing right now?
When has he ever thought of explaining himself to anyone? He is the CEO of Helian Group, why does he need to explain himself to anyone? He already knew that getting involved with someone like Joanna won't be good for him but he did not know that it was going to be this dangerous. He had to be firm, so he doesn't make any mistakes. "Did I say that you are not Joanna? Really what are you planning on doing this time? You have been acting weird since this morning. Whatever plans you have Joanna, it's not going to work on me. I can see through your tricks easily" He said.
Allen sighed in relief when he said that. It means that he still has not found out that she is Joanna right? She can still continue to pretend to be her. She looked at his face. He looked like he was thinking about something. If he has not found out about Joanna then who is that person that he is talking about? Because you are not her? Who is that? Does he have some secret girlfriend? Is he having an affair? They have only been married for a few hours and he is already having an affair?
It seemed like his marriage with Joanna was not as simple as everyone thought it was but still...how can he cheat on her?! Allen's mind was such a mess that she was thinking all sorts of stuff. She really wanted to say something to him but she held herself back. It's none of her business anyway. She's going to be gone from his life in six months anyway. She doesn't need to bother. Whether he has plans of breaking up with the real Joanna after six months or not, it doesn't have anything to do with her because she will be gone after six months. "I get it"
That was the only thing that Allen said. She did not want to say anything more. He just said that she has been acting weird since the morning. That means that she is not playing the role of Joanna well and he has started to suspect something. If she isn't careful, he might as well just find out that she is not Joanna. She still does not know how Joanna's attitude is. But the truth was Allen was beginning to get more and more curious about Joanna. He just said not to play tricks with him and that he'll see through them. Is Joanna someone who plays tricks? Just what kind of a person is she?
Raymond looked at Joanna. For the first time, he was at a loss for words to say. He could handle a meeting with all the top executives of the company who wanted to swallow him up without breaking a sweat not standing in front of this woman like this, he really did not know what to say to her. One minute, she looked like she was going to ask him about that person. She even almost made him want to tell her. And the next minute, she is acting as if she doesn't care at all. What is wrong with her?
What game is she trying to play with him this time? Before, he could almost figure out what she was thinking. She tried so hard to cover it up that it was obvious. But right now, she looked like she was not trying to cover anything but it was even more difficult to figure out what she was thinking. What is going on with her? She looked even more simple than before but at the same time, she was even more difficult. He really could not figure out what she was trying to do this time. But one thing was for sure though, Joanna has a plan, and he is not going to fall for it.
He decided to just stop thinking about it. This is probably want she wants. For him to be interested in this her sudden change of attitude. Well, he is not going to fall for it. He just decided to tell her about what his grandfather said. He just did not know how she did it. His grandfather rarely praised anyone the way that he praised her. "Get ready. Tommorow, we are going to see my grandfather. He already knows that we got married. He says that he wants to see you. I really don't know what you did to that man" Raymond said you could hear the annoyance in his voice.
Allen shuddered. No matter how much she thought if it, it seemed like this man was always angry with her. Or he was always angry with Joanna to be precise. She decided to not get involved. She should not know things that she should not know about. So his grandfather wants to see her? Paul had called earlier and told her quite a bunch of things that he found out about Raymond. He seemed to be really close with his grandfather...just like her. Since he got married, he must want to see her.
But Allen did not know how she was going to go about that. Lena told her that since Joanna has not gone to the filming set in two days, she really needs to go tommorow or she is going to be in trouble. How is she going to deal with it? "Well, the thing is, I have to go to the set tommorow. Lena says we won't be done till the evening" Allen said. She really needs to okay the role of Joanna well and make sure that nothing happens to her career as an actress before she comes back.
Raymond looked at her. She has to film? The Joanna that he knows would drop everything and go with him as long as it means that she has to spend some time with him and get closer to him. Everyone keeps saying that she takes her career seriously but he knew better than that. All of that was just a show. But now she is actually saying that she has work to do? That was weird. Not that it mattered to him anyway. He won't be done till the evening too and they could just go over to the hospital in the evening. But Still, it was weird.
She was beginning to feel more and more like a different person. It was Joanna Anderson standing in front of him but for some reason, it did not feel like her at all. Raymond found himself shaking his head to clear his mind. He really should not thinking about this woman and her attitude. "That's great then. I won't be done till the evening tommorow anyway. When you are done, give me a call and I'll come pick you up" Raymond said. Wait, did he just offer to come pick her up? What is this woman doing to him?
Allen nodded her head. It seemed good enough. She won't be able to avoid these things anyway. They were all parts of the life of the person that she is supposed to play. Tommorow, she is just going to go over to the set and later, she will meet his grandfather. She just hoped that she will be able to make a good impression on him. Thinking about how she is going to be acting tommorow, a smile spread on her face. She has always wanted to do that, but because of the difficulties in her life, she had to give up on her dream of becoming an actress.
Having to play the life of a person who is an actress, Allen felt that the universe has given her another chance. Well, she is definitely going to enjoy it. Even though it's only going to be for six months and she is going to give it all up and return to bring Allen after six months, she still wanted to give it a try. She wanted to live her dream for six months. "Alright. When I'm done, I'll give you a call and we'll go see your grandfather together" Allen said. She had heard that Joanna met him before, she just hoped that she won't make any mistakes.
Of course, Allen did not notice that there was anything wrong with Raymond offering to come pick her up after she was done but right now, his mind was a complete mess. The both of them can always meet in front of the hospital but he just offered to pick her up. She did not even have to ask him, he offered to do it himself! Since when did he become so considerate of other people that he is ready to do something like this for them? It really was a small gesture but for someone like Raymond, who had closed his heart for a long time now and has never cared about how others are doing, it still found it hard to believe that he offered to do something for her.
He really needs to stop thinking about this woman. He needs to stop letting her have such an influence on him. He decided to change the topic to somttifn else. "You said that you wanted to make our marriage public before. Don't think that I'm going to help you with that this time. I already did that once and I don't have any reason to do it again! If you want to make our marriage public, you should do it yourself. I really don't have time to deal with such petty things" Raymond said. His tone was harsh, like he was trying to draw a line between the both of them.
Allen blinked. So Joanna said that she wanted to make the marriage public? A marriage that she did not even want, a marriage that is going to end in six months time, why will she go to such lenghts for it? And in the end she ran away. What really is going on in her head? What is she thinking? Well, perhaps the only person who could answer this question was Joanna herself. "No, I don't want to do that anymore. I already thought about it. It's going to be too much trouble. Let's just leave things like this" Allen said casually. She did not want to attract much attention to herself and then make a mistake.
Raymond looked at her. He should be happy that she changed her mind about this but why does he keep feeling that something is wrong with this woman
Either way, the both of them did not need to do anything anyway, because people already knew......
