Chapter 110
Immediately Lena asked about Raymond, she remembered what he did to jer last night. Her face went red in a second. He did not come home last night at all. And Allen was grateful for that. She did not know how she would have faced him if he came back. What would she have said?
Lena saw that Allen wasn't answering her question but that she was blushing instead. Lena was surprised. What happened to her? "I asked you a question. What are you doing? You should answer my question. Did you talk with Raymond? What is he going to do?" Lena asked Allen. Even though she did not like Joanna, ultimately, she was tied to her. If Joanna can no longer be a celebrity, then she can't work for her. She won't be able to find a job that pays so well again. She had to make sure that Joanna doesn't lose her celebrity status.
Allen was brought back to the present by Lena's words. "I talked with him yesterday. He said that he was going to find Joanna. Until then, I can't leave his house yet. He thinks that I'm going to run away if I leave" Allen said.
Lena felt that there was something wrong with this picture. Raymond said that Allen can't leave house? If he wants to stop Allen from running, he can do that even though she doesn't live with him. Lena felt that something was terribly wrong. She just did not want to think about it. If it's really what she's suspecting then, what is she going to do? How is Joanna going to take the news?
"He said that you can't leave? He is going to find Joanna himself?" Lena asked again. She wanted to probe Allen, to find out if there's something else that she isn't telling her.
Thinking about all the things that Raymond said last night, Allen was pissed again. "Yes. He said that I'm going to run away! He is such a complete scoundrel!" Allen said. She could not understand why Joanna wanted to marry him so bad.
He is completely shameless and he definitely knows how to crush others spirit with his words. Other than the fact that he is rich, and really handsome and also that he kisses really well ....wait....why do I think that he kisses well? Allen shook her head. She had to stop these thoughts now while she still can.
Lena glanced at Allen's face. It seems that she hasn't noticed anything. She really is quite slow. But if what she is suspecting is really true, then things are just going to get ugly from now on.
"Lena....I have a question to ask you. Do you really think that Joanna ran away?" Allen asked. Her voice was more solemn now. She just could not stop thinking about it. Raymond kept saying that she was dying to get married to him. Even Sonia said the same thing, that she bragged about getting married a lot.
Lena turned to look at Allen. Talking about this topic, Lena was almost sure that Joanna did not run away. Joanna isn't someone who would do something like that. Besides, she was so happy about getting married. She just could not stop talking about it and bragging about it. How can she run away after bragging about her marriage so much? It did not make sense at all. But besides that, there was no other explanation that she could think of. If she did not run away and she isn't hiding right now, then how come can she disappear without a trace? It doesn't make sense at all. It just did not make any single sense.
"I really don't know Allen. I don't know what I'm supposed to think right now. Joanna....she isn't someone who would run away like this. She has always liked attention. And getting married to Raymond Walker will definitely give her a lot of attention. Besides, she was so happy about getting married. She kept bragging about it and telling everyone that she is getting married. Why will she run away like that without a single word? It doesn't make any sense. I really don't know why Paul thinks that she ran away but I'm not sure Allen. I'm really not sure" Lena said. Since they were all in this together, Lena decided that there was nothing that she wanted to hide from Allen ..
Allen sat in the car thinking. Raymond has said the same thing. That she really wanted to get married to him. Besides, the marriage between them wasn't real anyway. The both of them were supposed to go thier separate ways after six months. Why will she run away when she can get away from it? It doesn't make sense. And Allen did not believe it at all. She just kept thinking that something must have happened to Joanna.
"Raymond had said the same thing. He said that she was excited about getting married. Why will someone who was excited about getting married and who was bragging about it to everyone just suddenly decide to run away? It doesn't make sense at all. I think that there's something wrong somewhere. I can't help but be worried about Joanna. What if something has happened to her? Is she in danger? But really how can someone disappear without a single trace? How is it even possible?" Allen asked.
Lena pursed her lips. It seemed that there was some truth in what Allen was saying. What if Joanna is in some kind of danger? And all of them are wasting time like this thinking that she is in danger?
"Raymond said that he is going to find her right? I'm sure that if Raymond Walker gets involved we are going to find out something soon enough. Let's just wait for him to find her first. Then all the answers that we have will be answered. Remember Allen, that the sooner that Joanna can come back, the sooner you can go back to your life" Lena said.
