Chapter 64

If Rita was calmer, she would have known that it won't be difficult for him to know, he could watch Allen closely from abroad anyway. It was just that when she began her pretence, it was as if she disappeared. That was when he accidentally saw that that person got married....and he saw her too........
"What, what nonsense are you talking about? Why would Allen pretend to be someone else? In this day and age, how can someone pretend to be someone else? Even plastic surgery has flaws, and do you really think that Allen can do something like that? If you have nothing to do please leave here! Don't cause trouble!" Rita said. This topic really agitated her and she was already stuttering. She was sure that there was no reason for her to be here anymore. She was going to walk away when Ryan grabbed her hand.
"Joanna Anderson, who the hell is that woman?!"
Rita turned slowly. She was starting to realize now that the situation was no longer in her control. He already knew what was going on. Well,she should have figured out. This person is completely out of it after all. He should have found out something before coming to see her like this.
Rita knew that she could not yell him what Allen was doing right now. Even she felt that it was crazy but she knew Ryan well. He is definitely going to do something, Allen will get in trouble because of this man again.
Even though she wasn't going to tell him the truth, Rita knew that she still had to tell him something. "Joanna Anderson? I know that woman, she's an actress. She's actually quite popular. You know Allen and I were actually quite surprised, how can they look so alike? Haha" Rita laughed, trying to make light of the situation.
Ryan scoffed. He knew what she was doing. Does she think that it will be easy to throw him off the trial? He cake back here purposely because of her he definitely knows who is who.
"Are you trying to play games with me Rita? I think I've been patient with you enough. What do you think that you are doing? I know who is who, now tell me, what has Allen been up to these days? Why is she pretending to be this woman?" He asked. His gentle voice was long gone, in fact he looked like he was threatening her right now.
Rita almost lost all the will to lie to this man when she heard him talk like that. But she still managed to hold on, for Allen's sake. "What are you talking about? I already told you that Allen's life hasn't been great since that incident but she is pulling through? What do you mean by pretending to be what woman? Joanna Anderson is an actress, Allen....well....Allen is Allen" Rita said.
Ryan had had enough of this woman. He did not want to continue to talk to her anymore. She thinks that she is so smart and that a person like her will be able to fool him? What a joke!
Ryan laughed for a second, and then as suddenly as it came, the laughter was gone. He glared intently at Rita. Then he grabbed her hand, before Rita could figure out what was going on, he was pinning her to a wall. He held one of her hands above her head and she stood in front of him. The playful look he had on his face was gone.
Rita shuddered. Because it's been so long, five years exactly, it seemed like she forgot who exactly this man is...she did not know what to do anymore. What is he going to do to her? Will he hurt her because she refused to do what he said?
"You... What do you want from me? What do you think that you are doing right now? This is a hospital! Let me go!" Rita yelled.
Ryan sneered. Like he was afraid. He has never been afraid of anyone or anything, as long as he wanted to do it, he did it!
"Do you really think that I won't do something to you here Rita? Don't be so naive. You are Allen's friend as so I am going to give you one more chance. What the hell is going on?!" He yelled.
Rita knew that there was no way she would be able to lie to this man in the condition that she was in right now. She really did not want him to hurt her...she did not want to tell him but...she did not hate a choice.
"Alright fine! I'll tell you! Either way since you already came back you are going to find out sooner or later right? Allen, she is pretending to be some woman called Joanna Anderson. I don't really know her and I don't think Allen knows her either. I only heard some things from Allen. She said that she is a super famous celebrity and all that. Well, all of this started when Allen's grandmother's sickness kicked in again. She was doing really fine before but she got sick again. She needed a lot of money for her surgery. Allen and I, well we don't have that kind of money. Allen kept trying to look for ways to get the money but there was nothing. And then, she met this guy. He told her that he is going to pay her a lot if she pretends to be some other woman that looks exactly like her for six months. Allen really wanted to save her mother so she took the offer. I think...I think that woman, she went missing. Allen said that she ran away because she did not want to get married. They don't want people to find out that she ran away from her marriage because she did not want to get married so they found Allen to play her for six months. After six months, everything is going to be over and Joanna is going to return back to her normal life. You don't have to worry about anything" Rita said. She wanted to get away from this man. She badly wanted to get away from this man!
As Ryan listened to Rita's story, his hand holding hers started to loosen. By the time she was done, he wasn't holding onto her anymore. He looked down, trying to figure out something. Why on Earth did Raymond Walker decide to get married to some woman all of a sudden? Is it because his grandfather pressured him? But Raymond had never listened anyway, what happened this time?
And does this mean that Raymond doesn't know that he is being played right now?
"Tell me something Rita. Does Ra...does the man Allen got married to know that she is not the woman he is supposed to marry?" Ryan asked.
Rita shook her head. This was the part that scared her the most. Raymond Walker finding out that she is not Joanna. "No, Raymond Walker doesn't know that Allen is not Joanna. I'm really worried about Allen here. Raymond Walker is a really dangerous man! He won't let her go if he finds out that she is lying to him! I just want her to complete this madness and stay as far away from those people as possible!" Rita said. She was giving Ryan a hint. Allen will be fine as long as you stay out of her way so don't go looking for her.
Ryan could not help but chuckle to himself. Raymond actually got played by someone like Allen! He really could not even tell the difference between two women just because they looked alike! He suddenly thought of what Rita said. Raymond is a dangerous man, is he really that dangerous?
"Tell me something Rita. That man and I...who do you think is more dangerous?" He asked. His smile was back on, almost as if he wasn't the one threatening Rita a few minutes ago.
Rita really did not want to answer this question. Raymond might be dangerous but at least he lived like a person and as for Ryan...he....
She decided to change the topic at once. "I really don't want to talk about this with you! It has nothing to do with me anyway! I just want to tell you to stay away from Allen! It won't do any good if you show up in front of her right now! Since you came back it's fine but stay away from us!" Rita said.
Ryan chuckled again. He came here for her. Why should he stay away from her? Ignoring Rita's words he said, "I have something to do now so I'm going to leave. Don't tell Allen that I'm back. I want to give her a surprise myself" Ryan said.
Rita was suddenly agitated when she heard him say that. "What do you mean? I'm going to tell her right now! She has to know that you are back!" Rita said.
Ryan glared at her angrily. "Do you really think that I won't blow up this stupid charade of her pretending to be some woman?" Then ever sweetly he said, "Bye Rita. I'll be back"
Ryan got in his vet and drove away. He really wanted to know the real reason why Raymond agreed to get married all of a sudden. He would never do that. And besides, it wasn't even for the company, just some actress. He really wanted to see how that old man convinced Raymond to get married.
Rita ok her part, as soon as she saw Ryan leave, she almost collapsed to the ground. Why did that crazy man have to come back? What does he want?

John was in the office talking with the hospital director, the man who had helped him fool Raymond into marrying Joanna. He wasn't a fool. He knew that the relationship between Raymond and Joanna wasn't good yet. He got married because of him anyway, but at least he was married anyway. He was sure that with a girl like Joanna, even Raymond won't be able to resist. He did not know why but after that last time Joanna and Raymond came to visit, he seemed to like her a lot more.
"Chairman, I really did not think that your plan was going to work. It's actually very fool proof! The CEO got married at once! It really was a great plan!" The director said.
"Of course it was great. I'm his grandfather. Does he really think that he will be able to out smart me? Hmph! No way at all! He won't be able to do that. I already got him married, I'll see how he can focus on that girl!" John said.
He did not hate that girl. Not after she gave his life for his precious grandson. He just wanted Raymond to move on.
The director was going to say something when the door opened and someone walked in. The both of them looked towards the door. The director was shocked to see him. John however felt his heart sink to his stomach. What is Ryan doing here? When did he come? What other plans does this person have this time around? He was really curious, he wanted to know. He knew ..that he had to have his guard up around this person no matter what.
Ryan could almost guess what was going on this old man's mind, but he didn't care. He has never cared anyway. He just wanted to find out how Raymond ended up married. He could almost guess, seeing that he was in a hospital, he just wanted to confirm his suspicions.
"Grandfather, it's been five years but you don't seem happy to see me at all" Ryan said. It was his signature smile.
"Why didn't you tell me that you were coming back?" John's voice was cold, completely ignoring Ryan's first question.
The director immediately caught on that he should not be here right. He gave an excuse and disappeared.
"Don't be so mad, I wanted to surprise everyone" Ryan said.
He was still smiling, but that smile scared John shitless!
