Allen was at a loss for words. She did not know how she was supposed to answer this question. In fact, she did not want to answer it. Swimming? Water? She had always been scared of it. Her grandmother told her that there was a time when she fell into a river when she was young and since then she had been scared silly of water. One time, she had tried to swim. She got in the water and her mind went blank all of a sudden. She felt like there was a memory she was trying to find but it was blocked. She could not get to it. It was a trauma for her and Allen did not want to open it.
She decided not to answer the question. There was no reason for her to answer such a question. Besides, it was already like this. She would only be wasting thier time if she continued to lie. What if he really does the DNA test? She could find a way to deal with whatever punishments he was going to give her but she can't let Lena or Paul get hurt. The both of them have been so nice to her. "Alright, you want to know the truth right? Fine I'm going to tell you the truth. I am not the woman you were supposed to marry. I am not Joanna. You are right. I'm Allen!" She decided to come clean.
Raymond stood fixed on one spot looking at her face. The face that was so identical to that annoying woman. He had already known that she is not Joanna. He already found that out but hearing her admit to it herself, he was shocked. He really did not know what he was supposed to do anymore. So she really is not Joanna. Somehow, deep down, a part of him had been hoping that she would keep insisting that she was not Joanna. Then everything won't be so complicated right now. Now that she really isn't Joanna, what is he supposed to do?
He looked at her face. Even though they were completely the same, now that he had been staring at her for some, he was starting to see some differences. Her image was definitely different from the image that Joanna had carved on his mind. Joanna always had an arrogant look on her face, like she was looking down on everyone around her. But the face of this woman was pure and clear. It was as if she had no idea of what the world was like. She looked..... innocent. Deep down, he was really wondering how someone who looked so innocent like her could be involved in this.
How did she end up fooling him? How did she end up pretending to be Joanna? And where the hell is that Joanna right now? Looking at her Innocent face, he found his anger reducing. Raymond shook his head. He won't be able to deal with this if he did not keep a clear head right now. "So you finally admitted that you are not Joanna. Why? You don't want to keep lying and pretending because you are afriad of the DNA test? Tell me, who the hell asked you to do this? Or did you plan this on your own? What did you do to Joanna?" Raymond asked. His instinct kept telling him that this woman was just someone caught in the middle of a plot but he needed to be stern if he wants to get to the bottom of this.
Allen held back her tears. She really wanted to break down and cry right now. She did not do anything wrong. Why does everyone keep making it sound like she was the one who made Joanna disappear? She had never even met the woman once in her entire life. Why does everyone keep making it seem like she was the one who did something and made her disappear? She really did not do anything. She did not do anything to Joanna! She was only doing this for her grandmother! If not for the fact there her grandmother was sick and she needed the money for her surgery, she won't even do something as impersonating another person
[2/22, 7:59 PM] Sonia: She would rather continue with her life, pushing on, if her grandmother wasn't sick. "No Raymond. I really did not do anything to Joanna! I did not do anything to her. I have never met her before. It's because she ran away from the wedding!" Allen blurted out. She wanted to clear her name.
Raymond burst out laughing. Joanna ran away from getting married to him?! What kind of joke is that?
Raymond burst out laughing. What kind of joke is this? Joanna ran away because she did not want to marry him? What does this woman take him for? Does she really think that he is easily decieved? He had thought that this woman looked quite innocent and so he was already considering going easy on her. But it turned out that maybe he was wrong. Maybe she isn't as innocent as she looks. Joanna....that woman wanted to marry him more than anything! How can she just run away from thier marriage? She had already started plotting about being married to him! So how is it possible that she ran away? He knew that it wasn't true at all!
"Do you really think that I am stupîd Allen? Do you think that since you've been able to fool me with your face you will be able to continue to fool me? Do you think that I'm going to fall for something like this?! Joanna ran away because she did not want to get married? Do you even think that this is possible? Joanna wanted to get married to me more than anything else! I'm giving you one last chance Allen, tell me the truth! Who asked you to do this? Who put you up to this? Or are you the one who came up with this grand plan? Because you want to marry a rich man?" Raymond asked her. He was trying to intimidate her into telling the truth.
Allen looked at him. She was suddenly at a loss for words. She did not know what she was supposed to do. But Joanna really did run away! At least this is what Paul told her! Paul told her that she already ran away because she did not want to marry a man like Raymond! Thinking about it now, Allen found out that it was weird. She had heard Lena mention once that it was odd that Joanna ran away from her marriage because she had been talking about it so much. Even Sonia said that it was impossible that Joanna would run away from her marriage. So why does Paul think than she ran away?
Allen already knew that Paul likes Joanna. He made it clear that day. Did she intentionally lead him to believe that she was going to run away? Because everyone else, including her husband keeps saying that it was impossible for her to run away from her marriage! If Joanna really did not run away then does this mean that she might be in danger? Allen was starting to get really scared now. What had she gotten involved in? "I really don't know Raymond. I don't know anything! Paul told me that she ran away because she did not want to marry you! He said that she was forced by her family and she did not want that so she ran away!" Allen said. It was already like this, she could only tell him everything that she knows.
