Chapter 34

Raymond raised his eyes. He has expected this but he did not think that they were going to be so quick last night he had called the chief editor of a popular newspaper and told him to publish this story, but he did not think that he was going to do it so soon. He looked at the Ivan who had a confused look on his face standing in front of him. Thinking about all of it, he was pretty irritated. Why does he have to put up with this? He really hated the media talking about him so much but now he has to do it for that woman!
He glared at Ivan. It was bad enough that he was already thinking about it so much and distracting him from his work, doesn't this person know that he should stop right now? Why is he going to such lenghts to irritate him and make him angry today? "I already told you that I am going to get married to Joanna Anderson?! Do you have a problem with that? Seriously Ivan I think that you are tried if Working here. If you don't want to work anymore you can simply hand in your resignation and get lost! Do you have to continue making me so angry?" Raymond asked. He was obviously irritated and this person won't let him be!
Ivan looked at his boss. What is going on? The rumours are true? He is going to get married? Wait, how is this even possible? When did he and Joanna Anderson meet that they are getting married now? As far as he knew, the boss and that woman has never even cross parts before! If it did not have anything to do with work, Raymond would not meet people from the entertainment circle. Even thier company's ambassador had a hard time just meeting him! The only contact that he had with Joanna was when he asked him to find her address.
But since the boss already said that he is going to get married to her then there is nothing that he could do right? He had to get used to the fact that he is going to get a new madam! And besides, Raymond just threatened him with his job. He did not want to lose the job! It payed really well. Maybe he should just go with the flow right now. "Alright. I was just a little surprised that you will want to make this public since you have never done something like this. Congratulations on getting married sir!" Ivan said. And with that, he disappeared from the office.
Raymond sighed. It was definitely going to be a really long six months for him. He had six months, just six months to find that woman so that be can he rid of this Joanna Anderson. He had not even married her yet and he already had so much trouble to deal with. He did not want anything much to do with her. The media was already talking and he knew that she was enjoying it. Someone like her who enjoyed the attention of so many people would definitely find a way to fuel something like this.
Just thinking about all her attributes made him shudder he wanted nothing to do with such a woman. He had to find her. He had to find April soon enough. It would be grand if he could her before the six months were over. Then he could prepare everything and have a clean cut with Joanna Anderson before bringing her here. He did not want her to be affected by any of this. Joanna Anderson, he just had to find a way to put up with it for the time being. Until he finds the woman that he is in love with. He would have to find a way to put up with her. Picking up his phone, he looked at the news. It was just as he told them. Hopefully, this would be able to convince his grandfather that he is serious about getting married to Joanna Anderson. He had been doubting him so much yesterday. Once he knows this he won't doubt him any more right? He really wished his grandfather would get better. He is the reason why he is stuck in this mess.
Paul was in his house playing with his phone when he saw the news. Joanna Anderson is getting married. Of course he did not believe the part of them dating, that was an obvious lie. Joanna is clearly being forced to do something like this! But still, the over all message was clear. Joanna and that Raymond Walker will get married. Paul sighed. He lost without even trying. He had known for a long time that he and Joanna, well the both of them won't be able to be together but the fact that this happened without him even getting a chance to confess, it left him feeling hopeless. At least, there was one thing that he could do front the side, he could still protect her.
Immediately Joanna was done with filming, she left for her uncle's place. Fred had texted her earlier asking her to come. Joanna knew what they were going to talk about. She announced to the world that she is getting married and she did not even tell them about it. Actually, there was no way that she could have told them about it. She has only talked with Raymond last night and come to an agreement with him. She did not think that Raymond was going to take action so soon. Well, even if she had known, she still won't tell them about it.
As far as she was concerned, these people meant nothing to her at all. They are the ones who made her childhood hell. If she was not such a smart woman, she did not even want to think about what could have happened to her. She did not want to think about what she could have suffered because of those people. She did not bring Lena along with her this time. She did not want her to see her talking to her uncle and his family. To Joanna, these people were the stain in her life that she absolutely could not get rid of no matter what!
When she got to the house, she saw that they were seated in the living room waiting for her. Her uncle Peter, that idiot Fred and even Vivian. Immediately she walked in front of them, Vivian shot her a deadly glare. Joanna knew that she must have been cursing her out. The woman really hated her she seemed to hate her more than the rest of the family. Sometimes, Joanna felt that there was another reason for the hate that Vivian had for her. She felt that she had something against her. But she could not quite figure out what it was.
Anyway, Joanna did not care about that. No matter how much she hated her, she isn't someone that she can mess around with. She is not that little girl that an entire family could bully. She is now an independent woman of her own. And what's more, she is now the one who is going to save thier company. "why did you guys ask me to come here? You had better make it quick. I am a really busy person and my time is really very important to me. I don't have time to waste chit chatting with you people. I'm sure that you don't want to see me either!" Joanna said. The sarcasm was like a sharp slap.
Vivian was angry. She was already boiling over with anger now! This girl really is a little witch! She is just like her mother. They have the ability to annoy her with just thier faces! Vivian wanted to get up and give her a good slap across her face but she remembered what her husband had told her before Joanna got here. They absolutely cannot act out and do anything to make this woman angry. She is the one who is going to save the company. From the look of things, Raymond seemed like he was serious about getting married to her. If they make her angry and she decides not to help thier company then, it would be the end for them.
And so even though Vivian was boiling over with anger right now she tried her best to control it. She must not lose her temper like this. If she does something to her and she decides not to help her, then her husband won't let her off at all! They had to focus on the fact that she did not tell them about the whole marriage thing. "Joanna, no matter how big you have become right now you have to realize that this family raised you. We did not have to do it but we still raised you. Don't you think that you should give us some respect? How can you plan on getting married and annouce your marriage to the world without telling us about it? Are you looking down on us?" She was trying hard to hold back her anger..
Joanna scoffed. Just as she had expected they called her to talk about this. They really are pathetic. She is going to get married and help thier company, shouldn't they be happy? It isn't as if they were happy that she is getting married. If not for the fact that they need her to get married for thier company they would probably do everything to stop the marriage from happening. And now they are suddenly complaining that she did not tell them about it? Can they be less pathetic and save some respect for themselves?
They were trying to take the credit for raising her but all that they did for eight years was abuse her and make life difficult for her! How can Peter even treat his brother's daughter that way? And he did not feel shame when he tried to take credit for bringing her up! She could not have told them because it came as a happy surprise to her but either way she would not have told them anyway! They did not deserve that consideration from her! "What? You want me to tell you that I am getting married before I annouce it? How can you all be so pathetic? Are you trying to take credit for raising me? Seriously? After what you did to me?" Joanna asked them.
Fred was really angry now. He did not care about what his father had told him. He did not care about the fact that she is going to save the company. If she is going to benefit from it then she should know how to be grateful to them right? She planned on getting married and she even had an article written about it and she did not think about telling them about it. To make matters worse, she is insulting them like this, calling them pathetic, what does she think that she is doing?
Does she think that she is invincible since she is an actress now and she is going to get married to that man? Fred was sure that if they knew what she is like they won't want to have anything to do with her! "What? What do you think that you are saying right now? Do you that that you can say whatever you want just because you are going to get married? What? We are pathetic? Whether you accept it or not we are the family that raised you. We are your family! You can't get rid of us so easily! And do you really think that that man will want to marry you once he knows the kind of woman that you are?" Fred asked.
Joanna scoffed. These people are really something else.
