Sonia: Lena looked at Paul in shock. She could not believe what she was hearing from this person. Even though she too was worried about Allen, she had thought that the first thing that he would do was to ask how things got to this Stage that Raymond Walker was even able to find out that Allen is not Joanna. She had even thought that he would be angry that she and Allen did not go a good job and they did not keep the secret well. Lena had even come here prepared to defend Allen in front of him. But he did not do any of the things that she had thought that he was going to do. Instead, he asked about Allen first. She was really surprised. "What? Allen is the person that you are worried about? Aren't you worried about what Raymond Walker will do to all of us since he already knows that we have been decieving him? Aren't you curious about how he even found out in the first place?" Lena asked him. She did not have any mean intentions. She just thought that it was weird for him to do this.
Paul shook his head slightly. She would not understand. There was no need for him to blame Allen or try to find out how he even got to know in the first place. Since he already knows there is no need for them to dwell on how he got to know. And as for Allen, he knew that blaming her would be the most selfish thing to do. In fact, he actually did feel sorry for her . He was feeling guilty. She was just an innocent girl before she met him and got entangled in all of this mess. He was sure that that girl was really very scared now. She was probably thinking that it's all her fault now and what she was going to do about the situation. Where is he going to find the strength to blame her when it's already like that? "You don't understand Lena. Why should I blame Allen for this? In fact, I feel guilty for her. It's not her fault. She has been doing a really good job, better than I even expected. Besides, didn't you say a few days ago that the director was praising her? It's not her fault. As for finding out how that person came to know, what will that help? Right now, I feel guilty to Allen. She was just a simple girl, we forced her to get involved in this" Paul said.
Lena nodded her head. She had to admit that he was right. She had felt sorry for Allen but not to the point of feeling guilty. She had always thought that since she was a willing party she had to do her part well and that there was no need for her to feel guilty for anything. She did not know that Paul was going to think about it like this. Lena had to admit that this man was a gentleman to the core. He really knows how to treat people right. Sometimes, she found herself wondering how someone as evil as Joanna had such a good friend who was so nice to other people. Lena sighed. She knew that right now was not the time to think about these things. They had to find a way to deal with this. "Well, Allen said that he confronted her about it last night. He had already figured it out. What are we going to do about this now? What will he do to us?" Lena said. She was still clear on the fact that that man wasn't someone that they should be messing with. They won't be able to handle the consequences.
Paul thought about it. What are they going to do now? Clearly that man knows that he is the one behind all of this. He did not even bother to beat around the bush but he just demanded to meet him at once. He was making it clear that he already knew what was going on. Paul did not understand one thing. This did not seem to be his usual style. He was sure that the man was probably very angry that he had been decieved by the three of them for more than a month now. According to his style, since he was really angry right now and he wanted to get back at him for decieving him he would have already taken action today. Besides, Joanna ran away from her marriage to him. That must've made him really angry. Why did he not do anything? Why did he not ask to meet him. Paul looked at the woman who was seated facing him. Now he had to be responsible for three other people, Lena, Allen and Joanna wherever she is right now. "Lena, you should go keep Allen company. The both of you don't have to worry. I'll deal with this" he promised her.
Lena nodded her head. Her mind had been a complete mess when she was coming here. She was worried sick about what Raymond Walker was going to do and she was also preparing herself to get an earful from Mike. Ever since she showed up at Allen's place morning, she had not gotten the chance to rest her mind even for a little bit. Her mind was a complete mess. What was she supposed to do? That was the only thing on her mind. Somehow, hearing Paul tell her to go back to keep Allen company and hearing him assure her that he was going to take care of this put Lena at ease. Even though he had not dealt with it yet and she did not know how he was going to do it, his calm voice was enough to put her at ease. How did such a person even become friends with Joanna? Lena thought of what she and Allen had discussed. About the possibility of Joanna not running away. She did not know how to bring it up in front of him. She felt that he was not going to accept that. She knew....just how much he cared about that woman called Joanna. Lenna decided to just go. They would talk about that later. "Alright. I'm going to leave first" she said.
Paul watched as Lena walked out of the cafe. He was trying to be cool about the whole situation just now because he did not want to scare her. He knew that right now, those two women were looking up to him and if he lost control of himself and he started to panic then the both of them were definitely going to do the same. if that happened, then things were going to get out of hand. There would be no way to solve the situation then. Paul thought hard about what he was supposed to do but no matter how much thinking he did he still could not figure out what to do. What will happen to Joanna's career? What will happen to Allen? This is such a fix! All of this would not have happened if Joanna's family did not try to force her to go abroad. He sighed. Seems like there was no other way out of this. He is going to have to meet that man and find out exactly what he wants from him. Maybe then can talk and he won't hurt innocent people because of this. He brought out his phone and typed a text message.
"Alright. Tell your boss that I'm going to meet him tommorow" Paul looked at the massage twice before hitting send on his phone.
