Chapter 136

Immediately Joanna got home, she went to her room immediately without trying to see her "parents" and talk with them as she usually did. Immediately she left the hospital, she had moved into thier house and she was living in the room that thier daughter had before she disáppeeared.
Joanna has to admit, the girl...she had a really good life before she went missing. She thought of Allen. She was sure that she was this couple's daughter now.
This kind of confidence, it was really too much. What was she supposed to do right now? She did not want to give up being April ....even though she had only had it for a short while...she did not want to give it up at all. She was thinking on how she was going to show up in front of Raymond as April. He would really become hers when he finds out that she is how first love right?
She thought of Paul she had to tell him now. After all, he is the only one who will be able to help her out of this situation. He would definitely know what to do and how she was going to appear in front of Raymond again. She needed to have a plan if she was going to beat the real person.
She called Paul immediately. He picked up the phone immediately, like he was waiting for her to call him.
Joanna did not have the time to think about how weird it was. She immediately started complaining to him.
"Paul....I want to come back now. I've been gone for too long" Joanna said.
Paul on the other side nodded his head. He knew that if was going to happen soon. Allen had go back to her life. Thank goodness Lena told her that the filming gor the drama was over today.
"Yes...you have to do that. Don't worry, I'll talk to Allen. You can come back any time you want" Paul said.
Joanna sighed. She knew that he was talking about her coming back as Joanna but that wasn't what she wanted. She wanted to come back as April, Raymond's first love.
"That's not what I want. Actually, there's something that I want to tell you. I met a couple...they are the ones who saved me. They think that I'm thier daughter. I look exactly like her, I'm going to come back as thier daughter" Joanna said. She felt that if she was going to pull off a lie, she needed the help of Paul. Besides, he won't buy the story of this couple being her parents. He knew about her parents well.
Paul was shocked. He took a few minutes to process what Joanna was saying. She's saying that she's going to take the identity of someone else because she looks like someone else? Then she is decieving the couple right now to make them think that she is thier daughter? Isn't this fraud?
He did the same thing with Allen but they had thier reasons and they did not plan to do it forever. The plan was for everything to go back to place once they found Joanna.
But from Joanna's tone...she was going to steal someone's identity completely...when did Joanna become such a scheming person? Why does she even want to do something like this? He was suddenly reminded of what Sonia told him. That he doesn't know Joanna at all.
He was starting to agree with her. He doesn't know Joanna at all.
"You....you are going to pretend to be someone else? You are going to steal someone's identity? Why do you even want to do this?" Paul asked her.
Joanna could sense some hesitation from Paul's time. Of course he would not want to do something like this. He was such a good person. He won't want to do something like this unless she convinced him.
"Think about it, this couple has been waiting for thier child for eleven years. And she looks completely like me! I can't bear to break thier hearts again after they think that they've found her". Joanna said. Even though she was doing it for herself, Joanna immediately made it seem like she was helping the couple out.
Paul almost fell for it. He thought that Joanna felt too bad for the couple to tell them the truth. But he suddenly thought of what she said, that thier daughter looks completely like her.
How can this be? It's already too big of a mystery that Allen looks like Joanna but there is a third person? Paul did not believe that. He immediately felt that the daughter of the couple had to be Allen. There wasn't there many coincidences in this world.
"Someone who looks completely like you Joanna? Maybe it's..." Paul did not finish the sentence but he was sure that Joanna got what he wanted to tell her.
Joanna's heart skipped a beat. She realized that she should not have mentioned that! She just gave herself away now! Paul probably already figured it out...there was no way for her to go around this anymore...will he still want to help her do this?
"I'm not sure.... anyway...I have to come back with her identity!" Joanna said. She had to this. There was no other way. This was the only way that she could get the man that she so wanted.
Paul was suddenly angry. What is Joanna doing right now? Stealing someone's identity and she doesn't even feel bad about it? Why does she even want to do this? What is she trying to hide from him?
"You...why are you even doing this? What are you trying to do?" Paul asked. His voice was much calmer, like he was going to agree. He wanted to know why she wanted to do this. Why was she ready to go this far.
Joanna sighed. It seemed that he was starting to agree with her...so she had to tell him why she wanted to do it.
"It's because she is the childhood sweetheart of Raymond! If I come back as his first love, of course he is going to be with me!" Joanna said. She was so desperate right now that she did not care how Paul was going to see her.
The phone almost fell from Paul's hand. She was doing this for Raymond Walker! Does this mean that she wants to be with him? Wasn't she the one who told him that she was forced to be with Raymond?
"You are doing this .. because you want to be with Raymond? Didn't you tell me that you were forced to marry him?" Paul asked her. He could not hide the anger in his voice. She's been lying to him? Is he that easy to fool him? If everything was a lie to begin with, then how many things has she lied to him about? Does he really not know her at all? Then the incident with Sonia...did Joanna really frame her?
Joanna really did not have an answer for that. She was really regretting all the lies that she told to him then. Why did she even have to lie about that? Shd won't be having a hard time right now if it wasn't for those lies!
"Anyway Paul, you are my friend...I can only trust you....you have to help me with this..." Joanna said. She sounded like she was going to cry.
Before the thing that Paul hated the most was Joanna crying. Whenever he saw that she was going to cry, he would gp out of his way to do everything that she wanted for her.
But now, the sound of Joanna crying was something that he did not want to hear at all because he found out that it irritated him. Does she really take him for a fool? Is he going to do everything for her just because they are friends? Even stealing someone's identity?
"What? I should help you because we are friends?! Because we are friends I have to help you steal someone's identity?! Have you ever thought about how the lives of the people involved are going to change forever because of the lie that you want to tell right now?!" Paul asked her. He was yelling now.
"Paul....I..." Paul interrupted her.
"Tell me something Joanna, you already know who the daughter of that couple is right? You know that it's Allen right? If you really want to help that couple, you should let him reunite with thier child! Why do you have to steal her identity? I'm not going to help you with your fraud!" Paul yelled. He was so angry. He felt that everything that he had known for his entire life was a lie.
"Why don't you want to help me with this?! So what if I know? alright I lied to you! I want to be with Raymond! Am I not allowed to fight for the man that I want to be with?. Is this even fair for me? And besides, she already has my identity! What's the big deal if I take hers?" Joanna asked.
Paul was surprised. He could not believe that this was coming from the front that he had known for so long. He suddenly felt like he did not know her at all.
"What's do you mean by she took your identity? She was only helping you! Do you know that your career would have been over if she hasn't been here for the past few months. No matter what, I won't let you lie to everyone for the rest of your life! Are you really going to live the rest of your life in a lie?" Paul asked her.
Joanna was angry that he was refusing to help? "You don't want to help me? You used to do everything that I wanted you to do, but just after four months, you don't want to help me anymore?! What is this? So what if I lied about Raymond? It was just one lie!" Joanna said.
Paul was sure that he did not know Joanna anymore. He felt hurt. He used to do everything that she told him to do? Then does this mean that she has been treating him as her idoit all this time?
"I used to do everything that you told me to? So ultimately, you've been using me? tell me what other things have you lied about? I think that everything that I've known about you is a lie! You've been lying to me for so long. Everything you've told me me, it's a lie? What about Sonia ..she did not do that to you right? You framed her right?" Paul asked.
He did not know why he suddenly thought of Sonia, but now that he was thinking about it objectively, it did seem like something that the Joanna of now would do. She already has plans to steal someone's identity for the rest of her life. Of course, she could definitely try to destroy Sonia's career. Thinking about it now, Sonia was her biggest competitor then.
Joanna was suprised when he mentioned Sonia. What has that b*tch got to do with this? "What? Did that slut tell you that I framed her? I can't believe that after all these years, she did not learn her lesson, she told you that I framed you, did she also tell you that she tried to seduce you?" Joanna asked.
Now Paul was sure, that Joanna had framed Sonia. In fact, he was sure that he had been used for the greater part of his life. He felt like he was a complete idioit.
"I'm not going to help you do something like this! Here's my advice, tell that couple the truth. Don't try to steal someone's life. No matter what, it's not yours. I really feel like an idoit. I've been fooled for so long" Paul said and ended the call. He did not want to hear more. He felt like he was going to lose his mind if he did.
Suddenly, the door opened and Julia walked in, followed by Philip.
"Is it true?" She asked.
