Chapter 18

Sonia was really angry now. What is this woman saying?! She is the one who keeps pulling tricks! She is the one who has no regards for others. Other people spend efforts just to get a role in dramas and she? She doesn't have to do anything and she gets roles! All she does is use her face, that bitchy face of hers! She definitely is the one doing bad things so why is she making it seem like she is the one doing bad things? She really wanted to lose her temper and yell at Joanna but a firm hand gripped her from behind.
It was her assistant Jenna. She was telling her to not lose her temper. She must not lose to Joanna. Joanna's strong point is acting innocent. She must not lose to her on that. "I really don't know what is going on here Joanna. I don't understand what you are accusing me of. Are you saying that I did something without having any proof that I did it? I, I really don't know what to do when you tell me things like this Joanna. As a really popular actress, how can you say this to me?" Sonia asked. she is not the only one who can act innocent. She can definitely do that too. Since she wants to make fun of her and make her out to be a bad person she is going to play along with her. Joanna Anderson is the terrible one here not her!
Jenna sighed in relief. At least Sonia did not lose her temper and fall prey to Joanna's tricks. She really did not understand why Sonia was so set on going after Joanna. She thought that she must have been through enough for her to know that Joanna is a really scheming woman with lots of tricks up her sleeves. She has been working for Sonia as her assistant since she started to act and they had a really close relationship. She knew about all of the things that Joanna had done to Sonia and she knew that Sonia had every right to hate Joanna.
But Joanna is not someone that she can deal with on her own. Sonia was not exactly the best person out there but she still was no match for Joanna. She definitely is too scheming and she knew that she won't be able to deal with it. She really wanted her to stop dealing with Joanna. She was already popular enough but Sonia was bent on getting her revenge on Joanna. So they had come here. She really needed to make sure that she watches Sonia well. Even if she can't beat her she still can't fall for her trap.
Joanna laughed she had to admit that Sonia had gotten smarter. Before she would lose her temper and start making a scene. But she was getting better now. She now knew better than to lose her temper with her. Joanna was going to make Sonia angry with her words. once she loses her temper then she is going to say some really terrible things to her. She was sure that the media definitely won't let it pass. The headlines would have been about Sonia attacking her in the filming set.
Unfortunately for Joanna, her assistant Jenna was there. She knew Jenna really well. The woman did not talk much but she was really scheming. In fact she could be said to be the backbone of Sonia. Joanna was sure that with such an attitude, Jenna would have made it big as an actress. Why does she keep following this stupid Sonia around? She turned her attention back to Sonia. Since she came here to cause trouble for her, she definitely will play along with her. "what? I'm trying to accuse you? You are the one who told me that I get roles whenever I want. Whae does that mean?" Joanna asked. She decided to go all out.
The director of the drama Miles Williams was starting to get really frustrated. He really did not want to deal with this. Joanna and Sonia were currently the biggest actresses in the country. And everyone in the industry knew that for some reason the both of them did not get along pretty well. Having these two people working on the same drama, it definitely was going to cause a lot of problems. If he had his way, he did not want to work with the both of them.
But there was nothing that he could do. One of the sponsors of the drama had made it clear that Joanna has to be the female lead. No one else. And now, another sponsor had told him to change the second lead to Sonia if he still wanted him to invest. In such a situation, he could only go along with what they want. Or else, he was going to lose his drama. He did not want that to happen. "I think that we can all start filming now. Everyone is here now" the director said. He could already see a conflict brewing. He had to put an end to it.
Joanna cast Sonia cold glare. She was currently preparing to get married to Raymond Walker and she did not want to cause any trouble with Sonia. Raymond already did not like her very much if she got into some kind of scandal now, then there won't be anything that she can do. He definitely won't marry her no matter what his grandfather days. Sonia had better stay out of her way. If she tries to look for trouble with her then she will definitely make sure that she destroys her! She will destroy her without leaving a trace of it.
A smile curled up on Sonia's face. She was here to give Joanna a hard time. And seeing her cold glare she could tell that her presence alone was enough to get to Joanna. She has done a lot of bad things, this is just the tip of the iceberg for her. She will definitely make Joanna pay for the things that she has done, and she will spare no efforts to expose this woman! "Of course director. Since everyone is here I think that we should get to filming!" Sonia said. She was in a really good mood. Soon, she will be rid of Joanna Anderson for good!
After the filming was over, Joanna went back to her dressing room to get her makeup removed. The budget for the drama was really big and so the female lead and second female lead got a personal dressing room. Immediately the make up artist was done, Joanna motioned for her to leave. Immediately she was gone, she called Lena in. She really needed to talk with her. She already checked the cast before she accepted the drama. Sonia Hailey was definitely not there! How come she is suddenly in the drama?
Lena walked in and Joanna shot her a cold stare. She really did not understand why this woman was so stupid. If she was half as scheming as Jenna then she won't have to worry so much! But she was so stupid. She could only put up with her! "What the hell is going on here? Why is that woman here? I thought that you said that the second lead was only a new actress who isn't known? How come Sonia Hailey is here?! You know how much I hate that woman so how can you let this happen? What do you want?!" Joanna yelled. So many things have been happening and she really wanted someone to take it out on.
Lena shuddered when she heard the voice of the woman in front of her. She knew how scary Joanna could be and to be sincere, she had to admit that she was a little bit scared of the woman! She has been with for her for a few months and she knew how scary the woman could be. She really did not spare any efforts to make the life of anyone that crossed her miserable. She had no bottom line at all! Even though she did not know what has really happened she knew that Joanna really hated Sonia.
Whenever the both of them met anywhere, she did not spare any efforts to make things hard for Sonia. And now she is working in the same drama with her, Sonia did it on purpose to get to her. "I really don't know what happened Joanna. I checked and it was just an unknown actress! I don't know what happened! I am sure that Sonia did something because she wanted to get to you. You must not let her do that!" Lena said. She immediately blamed Sonia for her own sake.
Joanna rolled her eyes. What is she thinking? Does she think that she is as stupid as her? Of course she knows that Sonia is doing this on purpose. She changed the actress at the last minute because she wanted to give her a hard time. And she did it so discreetly. Joanna knew that she must have been planning on this for a long time ago. She waited for her to accept the drama before she changed the actress! She really had a good plan to trap her and it worked!
She definitely did it on purpose. She was targeting her and she wants to do it to her on purpose. What she was angry about was the fact that her stupid assistant did not know about this! She should know if something like this is going to happen! She was sure that if she was the one who wanted to do this to Sonia Jenna would definitely figure it out. But Lena has no common sense at all! "Do you think that I am as stupid as you? I definitely know that she is doing it on purpose! Why did you not figure it out?!" Joanna yelled.
Lena really wanted to curse out this woman! Is she crazy?! What is she talking about? She should have known that Sonia was planning something like this? What is this supposed to mean? She definitely does not work for Sonia and she does not know what is she planning to do! If she is so scared of this then she should not be such a mean person! Why does she keep planning behind people's backs?! And besides, she already checked the cast. It isn't her fault if Sonia decides to do something like this.
She really wanted to yell out at Joanna and tell her that she was crazy! But she could not do that. She could ruin the lives of celebrities, it definitely was not a big deal to do the same thing to her. She had to be careful around this woman! She had to tread carefully. "Joanna, I really don't think that this is my fault. I already checked the list and Sonia wasn't there. I really did not know that she was going to do this. Anyway, it's her plan to see you nervous. Don't let her get to you!" Lena said. She defended herself as mildly as she could without forgetting to blame Sonia.
Joanna rolled her eyes. What is she thinking? Does she think that she is as stupid as her? Of course she knows that Sonia is doing this on purpose.
