Chapter 57

This man, he is a hundred times better than everything she has been told! Where did he drop from? This gorgeous, disastrously handsome, god like man is the person Joanna is married to ? If Lydia wasn't sure before she was sure now. She must have this man! No matter what, she had to make sure that this man is hers!
"I'm going to go now. Good-bye" Raymond said.
Lydia felt her heart melt when she heard his voice. It took a second for what he said to register in her mind. He is leaving?
Allen nodded her head. "Thank you for bringing me here" she said. Ever since Rita told her those things about Raymond, she was starting to be wary of him. As long as she stays out of his way for the next six months, jt should be fine right? There won't be anything for her to worry about then.
Lydia glared at Joanna. What is she talking about? She was finally able to meet this man and she is just going to ask him to leave without even getting a change to talk to him, she wants him to leave? Lydia thought that Joanna was asking him to leave because she could already see what she was trying to do. Well, no matter what, she won't let this man go! She has to make sure that she gets married to him! After all, she is the one who was supposed to get married to him in the first place!
"You are just going to leave? You and Joanna are already married and yet you haven't met her family, you should at least say hi to my parents before you go" Lydia said. Her voice was coy, frighteningly coy.
Raymond raised his eyes and saw a woman standing in front of him. She was smiling at him coyly. Just one look and he could already tell that she had other intentions. Why are the women of this family all like this? He really did not think that he needed to meet her family. The both of them were not really married after all.
"I'm quite busy" his voice was flat and cold.
"Yes Lydia. Raymond has a lot of things to do. Let's not bother him with something like this. Uncle and aunty wants to see me right? Let's go meet them" Allen said.
Lydia looked from Raymond to Joanna. And really could not believe what happened to Joanna. Was so she desperate to make a good impression on this man that she is ready to be this nice to her for him? Well, she could at least understand Joanna on this one. He is such an outstanding man, even she did not want to let go of him. Just like how she right now, even though she has been rejected, she still kept pushing it.
"Don't be like this. We are all family now right? Let's just go inside. You don't have to spend more than a few minutes here if you really are busy" Lydia said.
Allen felt like she was going to have an headache. She did not really want this man to go inside with her. She had already decided that for the next six months, she is going to stay away from her as much as possible. She did not want to get caught.
"Lydia Raymond he is..." Lydia's next action took the words from Allen's mouth.
Lydia linked her arms with Raymond immediately. "don't be like this brother in law! Don't you care about your wife's family?" Her saccharine voice made Raymond's stomach churn.
He removed his arms from hers immediately. "What do you think that you are doing right now?!" Raymond said. This woman, who does he think he is? Does she think that he is going to fall for something like this?
Lydia was taken aback. She did not expect him to be like this. She immediately turned to Joanna. Since she was pretending to be such a nice and good woman in front of him, she could at least try to use it to her advantage.
"Joanna, why don't you talk to brother in law? I just want him to meet the family that you grew up with? Did I do something wrong? Please tell if I did something wrong. Brother in law, he seems really angry with me" Lydia said. Playing a pure white lotus sure came natural to her!
Allen suddenly did not know what to do. She felt like she was caught in a difficult dilema. She really could not say no to this woman pouting in front of her. Allen said a prayer to whatever god was listening to her right now. Then she walked over to Raymond.
She linked her arms with him. "I'm sure that my Uncle will want to meet you, why don't we go inside to meet him? We don't have to stay too long if you don't want to? Please?" Allen said. She did not know how she looked right now but Raymond felt like he was going to go crazy with her doing this.
When she held his hand, the first instinct that he had was go push her away but for some reason, he did not do it. After some seconds, he really did not want to push her away! It was just as if...he liked her doing this?
Along with her cute face as she begged him, he really did not know what to do. He felt weak. Raymond found himself agreeing to what Allen said.
"Alright. Let's go see them if that's what you want" Raymond said. He and Allen walked past Lydia to go into the house.
Lydia stood watching them. She did not miss the reaction that was on Raymond's face when Joanna held him just now. He has pushed her away immediately like she was something disgusting and when Joanna held him...for a second, she thought that he was going to push her away too, but then, was that a smile she saw on his face? Anyway he was comfortable with him!
This man....he won't be like all those other mindless men for fell for Joanna right? Really how does Joanna do it?
Once they were inside the house, Raymond and Allen met the rest of the family sitting in tht living room. Lydia soon joined them.
Vivian was the first person to speak. "Joanna, you came back! I thought that you would be so busy and that you wouldn't come. Raymond even came with you" anyone could tell that there was a hidden meaning to her words.
Well, anyone but Allen. She really did not have any idea how much Vvian hated Joanna. She just thought that an aunt was showing concern here. "Of course I have to come. I even got married without telling you about it, I'm really sorry for that" Allen said. No matter what, they are family and she got married without telling them.
The three people sitting on the sofa gave each a strange look. Did Joanna...just say sorry to them? What is going on? Why would Joanna say sorry to them? They were really shocked.
Thankfully, Peter did not dwell on it. In the end, his company was still the most important to him right now. "Raymond, it's really good that you could come. We have a lot to talk about. Our company sent you a proposal, have you considered it?" Peter asked.
Raymond rolled his eyes. He was starting to see how Joanna turned out the way she was. This family....all of them were the same. They had no shame. The sister tries to seduce her sister's husband immediately she sees him, her aunt attacks her with her words immediately she comes in and her uncle, well he practically sold her away because of his company.
"As long as the proposal is good enough, we are going to consider it. You have to go through the management team first" Raymond said. He was making it clear that he won't be giving him any help.
Peter immediately understood his words. He turned to Joanna. It seems that she was his only hope right now. "Joanna, I have something to talk to you about. Let's go inside my study" Peter said.
An unsuspecting Allen nodded her head and followed him happily.
Raymond wanted to stop her from going but he suddenly did not know what to say to the woman. What does she think that she is doing? Doesn't she see that she is about to be used? He has only been here for a few minutes and he could already see through this entire family. She has been living with them her entire family, so how can't see it?
Raymond suddenly realized something. The Joanna that he mer at the hospital will definitely see through something like this. How did she end up changing so much just before they got married? What really is she trying to do?
Immediately she was gone, Lydia looked at her mother and brother. The both of them immediately understood that gaze. Vivian and Fred got up and left the loving room.
Raymond noted all of this. Why did he agree to Joanna's demand and come to this place with her? He was already starting to regret it.
Immediately they were out of sight, Lydia walked closer to him. She kept approaching him until Raymond spoke up.
"You are Lydia right? I think that you should keep your distance from me" he said. He really hated women like this the most. He thought that Joanna was the most annoying woman that he had ever met, he could see that he was wrong about that now that he has meet Lydia. Doesn't she have any shame at all? What is she doing?
Lydia laughed. A very flirtatious laughter. She could already tell that this man won't be easy to seduce. But that did not want that she wanted to stop. If anything, it made her all the more determined to get him. It was like a challenge. Joanna and Raymond just gave her a challenge. And she is going to make sure that she wins it.
"Don't be like this brother in law. After all, we are all family. You are not going to be wary of your family members right?" Lydia asked.
Raymond could not be bothered to talk with her. Where the hell is Joanna? He needs to get out of this place right now!
Lydia seeing that she was being ignored was pissed. He did not even show any emotions on his face. He just had a straight poker expression on his face. But seeing him like this just made Lydia want him even more. Just an outstanding man, how can that witch Joanna be married to him?
Lydia stepped closer to him and tried to hold his hand but he moved away from her, giving her a dirty look. Lydia was suddenly pissed. When has a man ever ignored her like this? She could not put up with it, never! She would never let herself be insulted like this. She tried again for the second time and he moved swiftly away from her, Lydia almost ended up falling face down.
Raymond glared at Lydia. he thought that the most annoying woman in this world was Joanna. Well he found out that he was wrong. He found Lydia even more irritating and annoying. Why doesn't she know when to stop? Is she on a mission to annoy him to death? Is that why she is doing this?
"Don't be like this brother in law. I don't see you acting this way when Joanna holds you" Lydia said. How can Joanna get this man and she can't?!
Raymond too was surprised about that. For the past eleven years, the first woman who has touched him and he did not feel tgr urge to push her away was Joanna.
"Joanna is my wife. Do you think that you can compare with that?" He asked Lydia.
"Wife? Do you really consider that woman your wife? Let me tell you she is a completely horrible person! She might be pretending to be a saint in front of you right now but I know that she is a bad woman! A woman like that doesn't deserve to be with you!" Lydia said.
"I am the one married to her not you. I don't see how our relationship is any of your business. Isn't that right Joanna?" Raymond asked.
Lydia turned to see Joanna looking at her. When did she get here?
