"You know how it is for a female star. If you just disáppeeared without saying a word, it would make your career suffer. Plus, I thought that Raymond Walker will try to destroy your career if he knew that you ran away because you did not want to get married to him. So I found someone who looks exactly like you. Remember that time in that bar when that waiter poured the drink on you right? That day when you told me you are getting married for the first time" Paul tried to remind her.
Joanna really could not remember such an incident happening. She had no time to care about such insignificant things.
"I really don't remember. Wait, if this person looks like me then does this person that she had plastic surgery to look like me? Is that it?" Joanna asked. She knew that she was popular but women were having surgery to look like her now? It was creepy.
"No.. she did not have plastic surgery. She looks exactly like you. I can't explain it either but I keep her that day when at the bar. I really did not think that I would see her again but I kept bumping into her. And then when you went missing, I asked her to pretend to be you. Her grandmother was sick and sk she stated to do it for the money. She pretends to be you now and she got married to Raymond in your place....so that your marriage won't be cancelled. Along the line though, Raymond found out that she isn't you " Paul tried to explain what has been going for a few months in a few words for Joanna.
Joanna felt that it was strange. No, this story was too mind blowing for her to believe. Someone who looks exactly like her, Paul met this person, he kept running into her and then she got into an accident. For the four months that she had been missing, this woman has been pretending to be her?
Maybe it was because Joanna has done too many bad things to people she really could not bring herself to trust anyone. She thought that everyone was out to get her. She felt that this was part of a conspiracy. Maybe this woman had surgery to look like her and then she planned this from the start? Maybe her accident had something to do with this woman? Joanna had so many what ifs?
"What? There is someone who looks like me without getting surgery? Do you really believe that Paul? Maybe this is all part of her plan!" Joanna said.
Paul did not think so. Maybe he did suspect Allen when he first met her for the first time but he did not suspect her now. He knew that her condition was terrible. There was no way that she could have done that. In fact, for the past five years, she had been having a really hard time. How can she get surgery to look like Joanna and then plan all of this? Besides, Allen isn't that kind of a woman.
"No Joanna. I really don't think so. Allen didn't plan this" Paul said.
So her name was Allen, Joanna sneered at the name. But then she thought it something. This person looks completely like her? What if she is the daughter that Julia lost?! What kind of twist is this?

Raymond was in his office. He was in a petty good mood. These days, at least Allen did not try to avoid him as she usually did. She even seemed like she was seriously considering being with him? All in all, it was good for him and he was in a good mood.
Someone walked into his office then. As usual, without knocking.
The good mood that he had been in took a nosedive when he saw Ryan.
What do you want?" Raymond asked. Better to get straight to the point and be done and over with.
Ryan too was not happy to see Raymond. He was here for Allen only. Yesterday, something did not seem right. He already knows that Allen isn't Joanna but he kept calling her his wife in front of him. It wasn't to provoke him. He knew that that if Raymond did not want to do something, there was no one that could force him. Except that old man of course. He appeared there and Eve claimed that Allen was his wife in front of him because he wanted to. What is the meaning of that?
"Don't touch Allen" Ryan said.
Raymond laughed. "She is my wife. On what basis are you telling me this? Don't you think that you are going too far right now?" Raymond asked with a sneer on his face.
"Your wife? Hey, your wife is that celebrity Joanna! Allen is just filling in for her right now! You already know that. What do you mean by she is your wife? She has her own life and she is going to go back to her life when this is all over" Ryan said.
