Chapter 132

"What if I don't want her to go back? What are you going to do about it?" Raymond asked. He was clearly provoking Ryan on purpose.
"You...!" Ryan calmed himself then. Arguing with this person is not going to work. He had to take another approach.
"Seriously you don't have to do this Raymond. You don't have to force yourself to stay with a woman that you don't even know. Your grandfather...he...he is alright now!" Ryan said. He almost blurted out that he wasn't even sick to begin with but he changed it at last.
"You can just end your relationship with Joanna and let Allen go. She has been through so much. You don't have to torture her like this" Ryan said.
When Raymond heard Ryan's words, he did not know whether to laugh or cry. Torture Allen? Between the both of them, who is doing that right now?
"I could do that...but what do we do? I already changed my mind. I'm sure that you already investigated Joanna and I before coming back. We never had a relationship with each other. Allen is the one that I want now" Raymond said.
Ryan was angry now. For the first time, he lost control of his temper in front of Raymond. "what?! Allen is the one that you are interested in?! I'm warning you Raymond, don't mess around with her!" Ryan said. He could never keep a clear head when Allen was involved anyway. Maybe it was the love that he had for her. Or maybe it was the guilt from putting her life in danger five years ago.
No matter what, he would never stand by and watch someone mess around with Allen. Especially not Raymond.
"Mess with Allen? I should be the one saying this to you. She is your sister in law. Yet you ask her to get together with you, are you trying to disrespect her? You should at least have some respect for her!" Raymond said in a very righteous voice that made Ryan want to puke.
Ryan felt like he was going to be angered to death by this person. He has never treated him like a cousin before. And now Allen is suddenly his sister in law? Does this situation even make any sense?!
He and Allen aren't even married!
"The two of you are not even married! What sister in law are you talking about?!" Ryan asked. It sounded as if he was whining now.
"Yes, sister in law. We are going to be married soon. Besides Ryan, you already hurt her so much five years ago. A woman that you abandoned after you got her in trouble, how dare you show up and ask her to be with you?!" Raymond asked. He had been keeping this in all night. It took all his self control to not beat Ryan into a pulp for Allen..
Ryan was so angry now. He glared at Raymond. "Hey, you don't know what you are talking about?! Back then, I really did not have a choice!" Ryan said. Raymond would never understand! How dare he bring it up when he doesn't even know what happened?.
"Of course. That is just like you Ryan. You've never had a choice. You've always been a coward. Your only choice has always been to run away and let people deal with the aftermath of the terrible decisions that you make. How can you do that to young girl and then run away?! Do you even have a heart? If you feel even the tiniest guilt for Allen then you should not show up in front of her ever again!" Raymond asked.
Ryan sneered. Not show up in front of Allen? Like he was ever going to do that! He has loved Allen consistently for so many years. He came back this time because of her... there was no way that he was going to let her go this time.
"I'm not going to let her go. That's for sure" Ryan said.
He turned and walked out of the office.
Raymond sighed. It would be difficult to deal with Ryan again this time.....
After Ryan left, Raymond suddenly wanted to see Joanna. She would still be filming right now.

Joanna was suprised. She did not know how she was supposed to accept this news. There was a possibility that the person pretending to be her right now was probably the daughter of those people and the childhood sweetheart of Raymond Walker since she really looks like her.
How can it be possible? Joanna did not want to admit it. She would not admit it. She finally got a chance how can she let it go?
"Are you sure about that? I don't even have a twin sister. How can there be someone who looks like me? I don't think it's possible. Maybe she planned all of this. She wants to take my place. Don't you think that it's suspicious? You met her and then a few days later I got into an accident and went missing. And then she started pretending to be me. I think the timing is really suspicious" Joanna said. She felt that as long as she planted suspicion in Paul's mind, he would believe her. He had always believed everything that she said anyway. He won't change now. He was the perfect person that she could use.
Paul frowned when he heard her words. He did not know when Joanna became like this. How can she be so unreasonable? Allen approached him on purpose? That did not make sense. She was having a hard time at the bar when she was working. And besides, she did not want to do this. He was the one who convinced her. She only did it because she wanted to save her grandmother. He really did not think that Allen was that kind of person. Joanna hasn't even met her once. Yet she already thinks that she is a bad person. For some reason that he could not explain, Paul felt really angry. Why would she think something like that?
"Allen isn't that kind of person. And besides, she did not approach her. I'm the one who convinced her to do it because I wanted to save your career. She was doing it for you" Paul said. Allen had done Joanna a favour and the first thing that she does when she comes back is to suspect that Allen is up to something. Paul just could not help feeling that he did not know Joanna at all. When did she become so paronioid that she suspects people without a reason? It did not make sense at all.
Joanna was suprised. She did not think that Paul was not going to believe her. He used to believe everything that she said, but he actually defended this Allen person in front of her. Joanna felt that she had to meet this Allen whoever she was. She made Paul doubt her when they had more seen each other for a long time, Joanna felt that this woman wasn't simple at all. She had to be careful from now on. In fact, she had to see her so that she knew who she was up against.
