Chapter 106
"Mom" Joanna called out. She was in a really good mood. It seemed as if Joanna had already decided that she was going to accept living as someone called April. It wasn't a bad thing really. It was something that was going to benefit her. This girl called April is someone that knows Raymond Walker. In fact, she has been his childhood sweetheart. It seemed that after all these years, Raymond still could not forget her. That is the reason why he asked her if she had ever had an accident it got lost in the water before. Because that was how he lost his childhood sweetheart. To think that Raymond Walker is someone who would have such emotions. Missing and looking for someone who is probably already dead. He always has a cold look on his face and Whenever he talked to her, he was filled with irritation. It seems that it was all because of this girl April. Since it's already like this, she will just have to take the identity of the girl April. As soon as she recovers, she is going to go back to Raymond. If he finds out that she is the April that he lost years ago...he really won't hold back from her any longer. She will finally get a chance to be with him like she had always wanted. Just thinking about that was enough to put her in a really good mood and so she smiled when she saw Julia walk in.
Julia had no idea what was going on in Joanna's mind right now. She was just happy that her daughter seemed to be happy to see her. Even though she had not fully recovered her memories and she seemed to only remember drowning in the water, it was enough for Julia. Her daughter whom she almost thought that she would never see again had come back to her. Even though she doesn't remember anything from her past at least she is able to accept her as her mother. Julia was feeling really guilty that she had missed out on eleven years of her daughter's life and so sje was determined to make it up to her in any way possible. She won't let her daughter suffer any grieviances when it took her eleven long years and stroke of luck to find her again. She smiled happily at Joanna and walked to her bed side. "Are you feeling better now April? How are you doing? Does your head still hurts?" Julia asked. No matter what, she could not bring herself to call her daughter Joanna. She wasn't used to it and so she stuck to calling her April. Joanna did not seem to mind anyway.
"I'm fine mom. You don't need to worry. When did the doctor say that I can get discharge?" Joanna asked. She was eager to leave this place. She really wanted to go back and find out what was going on. Is there anyone looking for her right now? She disappeared without saying a word. What about the drama that she was filming? What happened to it? Sonia must have been the happiest person when she did not show up right.? Sonia had been trying so hard to beat her for so many years and she wasn't able to do it. So she must be happy when she went missing all of a sudden right? Joanna knew that Sonia probably won't let go of such an opportunity to throw dirt on her. She had thrown dirt on Sonia so many times before so she wanted to take revenge and do the same thing to her right? And Raymond....he must be happy when she did not show up to get married to him right? Even though she had plans to make him fall for her she was well aware how much he was irritated by her. So he must have been happy when she did not show up to disturb him about the marriage right? And Paul...what has he been up to lately? Is he looking for her? If he is, does he have any news? Right now she did not have any means to contacting anyone. She had to leave this hospital first if she wanted to do anything. She had to leave this place if she wanted to put her plan in motion.
Of course Julia did not know what was going on in the mind of the woman she think was her daughter. She just thought that she had been in the hospital for too long and that she wanted to get discharged. Actually, there wasn't any problems with Joanna's health. She was almost fine now. But Julia wanted her to stay back and heal completely before she took her home. Maybe because she had lost her previous daughter once for the past eleven years, she was reluctant to take any risks with her. Julia knew that she won't be able to take it if anything happened to her daughter. It would be fine if she did not find her again after eleven years but since she already knew that she was here, if something was to happen to her again, Julia won't be able to take it. And so she wanted to be extra careful. "You don't have to worry about anything April. You are almost fine but the doctors just want to run a few tests. I think that you will be able to leave in about a week. Don't worry about anything dear. It must have been tough for you right? Your life must have been tough after you went missing right? What are you doing right now?" Julia asked. She changed the topic immediately because she did not want Joanna to leave the hospital in a hurry. Besides, she was also curious about what had happened to her daughter after she went missing. What is she doing right now? How did she even end up almost marrying Raymond Walker?
Joanna was alarmed when Julia asked her about her life. She instantly was reminded of how her life had been in her uncle's house. Because the woman kept mentioning eleven years ago, she was reminded that her parents had passed away eleven years ago. That was the beginning of her nightmare in that house. She was treated even worse than a maid. Those people definitely did not want to see her. It was a good thing that she was smart and that she knew how to deal with people like that. Otherwise, she would have had to live the rest of her life being suppressed by people like that. She was smart and so she was able to put them in thier place. Whenever they tried to create trouble for her, she always knew how to turn the tables around by acting innocent. Infact, at some point, she began to enjoy torturing her cousins, Lydia and Fred. She would get them in trouble and make them take the blame for her. They couldn't do anything to her anyway. She had always been smarter than the both of them after that, she went into the entertainment industry. She made a name for herself, she did a lot of things to get what she had today, but she had never felt guilty. It had always been every one for himself. If she wasn't like that, she would probably remain an orphaned girl who was bullied by everyone for the rest of her life. She did not want to be so pitiful. "Well, it wasn't easy but I'm an actress now. I'm actually quite popular" Joanna said.
