Chapter 65

Rita was just coming out of the hospital after spending some time taking care of Allen's grandmother when all of a sudden, a flashy looking car pulled up in front of her
For a second, Rita thought that the car was going to hit her but then it stopped in front of her. Rita stood her ground, waiting to give whoever was in that car a good cursing but when the owner of the car came out, her mouth dropped.
What is this person doing here?
"How have you been Rita?" Ryan asked.
Rita's mouth fell open when she saw this person. Just what the hell is going on here right now? When did this person get back from wherever he was? Wait, why did he even come back? Is he about to cause trouble again? As far as Rita was concerned this man represented only one thing and that was trouble.
"You....you...what are you doing here?" Rita asked..
Ryan smiled, it was a sweet smile, but anyone who knew him knew just how dangerous that smile on his face was..
"What do you mean? I came back because this is my home. No matter how long I've been gone for, I still have to come back right? And besides....there are still some things that I just cannot give up here" Ryan said.
Rita knew just as much as Ryan did, that they were a lot of hidden meaning in those words. She was already shaking...he is definitely going to bother Allen again right?
"You...I don't care what you came back here but I definitely won't let you bother Allen again" Rita threatened him, knowing fully well that her threats meant nothing to the guy.
Ryan said. She is the reason he came back though, what is he supposed to do about that?
"What do we do about this? I think that she is the reason I came back this time" Ryan said. There was a playful smirk on his face.
Rita shuddered where she was standing. She felt like she already had a Ryan complex. This man only represented one thing in her mind and that thing was danger. He is a dangerous man, one that no one should get close to....
"What....what...are too talking about? I'm telling you Ryan if your dare to bother Allen this time, then you are a shameless person! She already suffered so much because of you, why do you have to torture her like this?" Rita asked..she and Allen were just plain women, why did they have to encounter such people in their life?
"I've always been a shameless person Rita. Don't tell me that you've just found out about it now?" His tone was still playful, dangerously playful.....
"You.... you... really.... everything happened because of you then! Allen has had to live a hard life because of you!. Can't you just let go and let her be?" Rita asked. If it wasn't for this person, then Allen's grandmother wouldn't have fallen ill, she wouldn't have had to use her tuition for the surgery, she would probably be famous right now! This man basically ruined her life!
"Because of me?" Ryan replied. It was true, it did happen because of him, but he did not mean for it to happen, if he had known then he....
"Allen....does Allen...does she still hate me?" Ryan asked. Only when he talked about her, did he seem to be serious, it was only now that he seemed to have some sincerity in his words.
"What do you think?" Rita asked. She wasn't even Allen and she hated him this much, why won't Allen hate him?
"Really? Well I'm going to make her not hate me anymore! It won't be much of a difficulty to return our relationship to how it used to before right?" Ryan asked.
Rita thought that other than being dangerous, Ryan was highly dillusional. Return to his they used to be? Just what is thier relationship that they were returning to? What does he want from her even?
"You really need to get help Ryan. Since we are already at a hospital, why don't you get treatment? There's no need for you to be ashamed, get your brain checked!" Rita said.
Ryan looked at the front of the hospital he was standing at, then even though he already knew, he still asked
"Why are you at a hospital? Did you get hurt?"
Rita wasn't a fool, she knew that this man was not asking because of her, he was probably asking to find out something about Allen. But she wasn't about to tell him anything, especially not with the stunt that Allen was pulling these days....
But still, she won't hold back from telling him about Allen's grandmother's condition. Maybe this person had some chicken coincience left in him and he will feel guilty enough to leave Allen alone....
"Didn't you already do your research? How else where you able to find me here so easily? Don't you already know that Allen's grandmother is sick again? This is all your fault! It's all because of you! Why don't you have some pity on Allen and stop showing up in her life like this? Don't you feel bad?" Rita asked. She knew that Ryan had not gone to see Allen yet, he won't even bother with her if he already saw her, so she was trying to stop him from going. If he does go to find her, it was only going to make things even more difficult for everyone. What if Raymond finds about the truth then? He won't go easy on Allen at all!
Ryan laughed. Like he was ever going to leave her alone. It really took him a lot of time to gather the courage to come back, why should be letting go now? However, there were some things worrying him. Why did Allen marry that man? And why the hell is her name Joanna Anderson?
He already did his research. Joanna Anderson, she is a really popular actress in the entertainment industry right now. He searched her up, compared the pictures, even compared her pictures with former pictures he had of Joanna, they were exactly the same person
They were two explanations for this, one Joanna Anderson is actually Allen Cathers. She got into entertainment and changed her name. After all, entertainment has always been her dream. But why would she need to change her name if she wants to go into the entertainment industry?
And besides, he had been watching her for five years now. He knew everything that she was up to. She dropped out of school and has been working odd jobs. He knew that she won't accept his help so he did not bother...when did she become a well known actress? It did not make sense.
Second, they were actually two people with the same face, Allen Cathers and Joanna Anderson. It sounded crazy but for someone like Ryan, who was not so well it wasn't much of a blow. However, Allen is right now pretending to be Joanna. No matter how much they looked alike, he would definitely recognize Allen. Because there was one detail about her that no one else knew....he finally saw it and he was sure, Allen is pretending to be Joanna. He did not care about what happened to the real Joanna, but why on Earth is Allen pretending to be someone else? He really wanted to know that.
He looked at Rita with a sweet smile, "How has Allen been doing? What has she been up to these days?" He asked.
Of course Rita wasn't a fool, they sweet smile, it was only a shield for a dangerous man like Ryan. She won't be fooled by it at all.
"Why do you wait to know about Allen? You already caused enough trouble for her! We obviously can't ask you to stay away from the country but please keep your distance from Allen" Rita said. Of course she was not going to give him any information about her. Who knows what this man will do then? She did not want to take any chances at all.
Ryan sighed. Looked like he needed to use the last option, he could just go confirm things by himself but before he went to see Allen, he wanted to get a clear view of the situation.
"I know that you and Allen probably hate me the most in the world right now but I really didn't have a choice back then. I didn't know it was going to happen, I would never hurt Allen on purpose, you know that right? Besides, all these years, you know what my feelings for Allen are right?" Ryan asked. He immediately went back to the pity play. He really was something.
Rita sighed. Of course she knew what his feelings for Allen were, but that was exactly where the problem started. Ryan is a dangerous person and anyone who is the recipient of his feelings, well that person was in danger.
Rita knew that she won't be able to get a breather if she doesn't tell this man something. He probably won't even let her leave. She wasn't in the mood to start arguing back and forth with him, so she decided to tell him how Allen was really doing...at least how she was doing before she decided to do that crazy stuff.
"After what you did and after how you left, ho were you really expecting her to be doing? Did you expect her to be fine? Did you expect her to be okay after the things you did? Her grandmother was sick, she used the student loan she took out, she had to give up her dreams, she had to work part time to care for herself and her grandmother, and now she is sick again...now tell me how you think she is doing" Rita said. Her words were very poking, but it wasn't something that will work on this man. He won't fall for it.
Ryan sighed. Of course he knew these things, he probably knew about the things that Allen had done in the past five years more than this woman in front of her, he knew what she are and the brand of clothes she wore. If he wanted to know, he would know the colour of her underwear!
(AN, as you may have noticed, Ryan is sick, in the head, a sick pervert, this underwear part is just a prefix to the sick things that he will be doing in the future)
He just wanted to see if this woman would let up something about Allen taking on the identity of someone else, but seems like Rita is much more smarter now, she won't even slip up. Well, since she wants to be so smart with him, he decided to go all out with her.
"Tell me something Rita, why is Allen pretending to be some woman called Joanna Anderson?" He asked. He went straight to the point, no beating around the bush.
Rita felt her heart sink to her stomach. Her face heat up immediately. What is he talking about? Just how....how did he know about it?!
If Rita was calmer, she would have known that it won't be difficult for him to know, he could watch Allen closely from abroad anyway. It was just that when she began her pretence, it was as if she disappeared. That was when he accidentally saw that that person got married....and he saw her too........
"What, what nonsense are you talking about? Why would Allen pretend to be someone else? In this day and age, how can someone pretend to be someone else? Even plastic surgery has flaws, and do you really think that Allen can do something like that? If you have nothing to do please leave here! Don't cause trouble!" Rita said. This topic really agitated her and she was already stuttering. She was sure that there was no reason for her to be here anymore. She was going to walk away when Ryan grabbed her hand.
"Joanna Anderson, who the hell is that woman?!"
