Chapter 105Brian carefully petted the bear cubs
After some thought, Brian's dragon wings trembled slightly as he flew away from the Dragon's Lair and landed in the Ice River Tribe, where the Arctic Ice Spirits resided.
Two bear cubs, with their fur now white as snow, saw Brian after a long time and immediately brightened up, running excitedly towards him.
They were now two meters tall, beginning to exhibit the demeanor of northern polar bears.
With sturdy limbs, sharp claws, and a faint elemental glow and dragon aura, the bear cubs rolled and ran, soon reaching Brian's feet, circling his dragon claws and rubbing their heads against him.
Brian carefully petted the bear cubs, mindful not to accidentally crush them.
With Brian's strength and the sharpness of his dragon claws, if he wasn't careful, these little guys would have died countless times already.
After playing with the two large northern Ice Field hamsters for a while, Brian shooed them away and summoned Roy of York.
"Roy, gather the Arctic Ice Spirits who participated in the war.
"As a reward, I have decided to elevate their dragon vein levels.
"But this comes with certain risks, and you must decide for yourselves whether you are willing to take them."
Brian's strength had increased rapidly, and expecting these minions to slowly develop their dragon veins to keep up with him was unrealistic.
Given the significant boost in strength and their blood-soaked battles for him, Brian didn't mind conducting a large-scale dragon vein transformation.
Roy of York looked up at Brian with reverence, excitement, and gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Master!"
Brian had grown to an astonishing size after waking up, his twenty-meter-long massive dragon body shining brilliantly in the sunlight. No matter how many times Roy of York saw it, he was always filled with immense awe.
As one of the first minions to follow Brian when he was only six meters long, Roy of York knew better than anyone the rapid pace of this great True Dragon's growth.
It was so fast that it defied logic and was almost terrifying.
A powerful True Dragon Lord was a good thing for the minions living under the dragon wings.
But as a minion, Roy of York didn't want to be completely useless. Even if Brian wouldn't abandon them out of loyalty, Roy of York himself felt uneasy.
Bathing in dragon blood again and undergoing dragon vein transformation was the quickest way to enhance their strength.
The slight risk Brian mentioned wouldn't deter any Arctic Ice Spirit from seizing the opportunity to improve themselves.
Under Roy of York's moved and loyal gaze, Brian performed dragon vein transformations on all the Arctic Ice Spirits who had participated in the battle.
Due to the potency of Brian's dragon blood, even after being diluted many times, one-fifth of the Arctic Ice Spirits still died from their bodies exploding during the transformation.
They were intelligent enough, but their bodies were somewhat fragile.
Immediately after, the remaining Arctic Ice Spirits fell into a deep slumber.
After Brian consumed several Limen Mammoths and many of the now-domesticated Giant Hoof Yaks, ice elks, and horned snow sheep, his furnace-like dragon stomach was somewhat satisfied.
He initially wanted to perform another transformation on the ferocious frost tigers, but they were out hunting, and there was no sign of them in the Ice Cliff Territory.
Thus, Brian flapped his dragon wings and headed to the Ogre Basin. Amidst the grateful words of Tancred of Conqueror, he also performed dragon vein transformations on the Bonecrusher Tribe ogres who had participated in the battle.
The strong and sturdy ogres, with their thick skin and tough bodies, could generally withstand the violent power of the dragon blood.
Only about one-tenth of them perished, while the rest successfully overcame the risk and were about to gain stronger dragon-veined physiques.
After completing these tasks, Brian returned to the Ice Cliff Dragon's Lair, discarding all distractions and focusing entirely on his spell studies.
Unknowingly, three days passed.
It wasn't until a familiar Dragon's Might swept across the Ice Cliff Territory that Brian's eyes flickered, ending his three-day-long state of concentration.
Turning to look outside the Dragon's Lair, he noticed that the sunlight had disappeared at some point.
The distant sky was quietly enveloped by the night, the sun retreating behind the scenes, and stars dotted the sky, forming a magnificent Milky Way stretching from north to south.
After Brian's five-month slumber and about a week of wakefulness, the polar day had turned into the polar night.
The black night would dominate the northern Ice Field for half a year until the sun rose again six months later, dispelling the darkness.
The familiar Dragon's Might, after sweeping past Brian, was retracted by its owner.
This Dragon's Might came from the White Dragon Mother.
"What is she here for?"
