Chapter 98 Expelling the Breath of Time

Unlike the young winter wolves, the experienced Alpha Wolf recognized Brian as a powerful adult silver dragon based on his size and scale color.

In fact, Brian was now much stronger than an adult silver dragon.

A few seconds later, as Brian folded his wings and landed calmly in the winter wolf Territory, the Alpha Wolf slowly stepped forward, raising its head and addressing Brian in a respectful yet firm tone, "This is the Territory of the Wolfheart Clan."

"Mighty silver dragon, what brings you here?"

"If you come with goodwill, the Wolfheart Clan welcomes you as a guest. But if you harbor ill intentions..."

The sentence was left unfinished.

The three-meter-long Alpha Wolf, a mere speck compared to Brian, made its stance clear.

"A powerful silver dragon?"

Brian didn't mind Alpha Wolf's fearless attitude towards him; in fact, he appreciated it. However, when he heard Alpha Wolf's first words, he was momentarily stunned and then chuckled softly.

Indeed, from the perspective of normal creatures, he now looked more like a silver dragon than a white dragon.

Unconsciously, Brian had shed the image of being the "shame of True Dragons" in the eyes of others.

But to him, whether he was a silver dragon or a white dragon didn't really matter; neither could compare to him as a Time Dragon.

Brian didn't correct Alpha Wolf's mistake.

He slowly lowered his dragon head, his body leaning slightly forward. The shadow extended ahead, and his massive form, exuding immense pressure, approached Alpha Wolf. He then calmly said, "I heard that you Winter Wolves have a title called 'Lord of the Ice Field.'"

"And it just so happens that I want the Lord of the Ice Field as my vassal."

After a brief pause, Brian continued in a calm, unhurried tone, "Do you think this is goodwill or malice?"

Upon hearing Brian's words, the surrounding Winter Wolves stirred, low growls and howls passing among them as if they were communicating some message, discussing how to deal with Brian.

Alpha Wolf hesitated for a few seconds, instinctively taking a step back due to Brian's oppressive presence.

Realizing that he couldn't show fear, Alpha Wolf forced himself to suppress his unease, steadied his body, and looked up at Brian. In a storytelling tone, he slowly said, "Seven years ago, when I was just an ordinary Winter Wolf, my clan encountered a nearly adult white dragon."

Winter Wolves have two ways to become the Chief of their clan.

One is to defeat the existing Chief and take their place, which is generally very difficult.

The other is to leave the clan, establish a new one from scratch, and take a new name, becoming the Clan Chief. All members of this new clan are named by the Chief.

"It came from the West, arrogant and rude, trying to force us into submission with its strength, to become its vassals and follow its orders."

After saying this, Alpha Wolf raised his head high, a long, clear howl emanating from his wolfish maw, echoing through the dense branches of Snowridge Pine Forest.

Within two seconds of the howl, howls from different directions and distances responded, also echoing through Snowridge Pine Forest, as if answering Alpha Wolf's call.

After hearing the crisscrossing howls, Alpha Wolf stopped howling and continued, "But in the end, it was covered in wounds and fled in disgrace. Our claws and sharp teeth tore through its dragon scales, stained with its delicious dragon blood."

Brian chuckled and said, "Are you comparing a silver dragon to a white dragon?"

In his heart, Brian suspected that the white dragon chased away by the Winter Wolves was the White Dragon Mother.

Nearly adult, from the West of Snowridge Pine Forest, arrogant and rude... putting these keywords together, it was likely the White Dragon Mother.

He didn't expect her to have such a black history of failing to subdue vassals and getting beaten instead.

Brian became more interested in this group of Winter Wolves. He was curious about how the White Dragon Mother would feel knowing that one of his vassals had once beaten her.

Alpha Wolf warily glanced at Brian's enormous body, showing a human-like wariness in his eyes, but still firmly said, "The Wolfheart Clan will not become the vassal of any creature."

"Even a powerful adult silver dragon like you, please leave."
"Otherwise, I don't mind reenacting that scene and drinking dragon blood again."

As soon as the words left Alpha Wolf's mouth, Brian heard the rustling sound of limbs swiftly moving across the ground, lightly brushing against the snow.

His expression remained unchanged as he looked around in other directions, surveying his surroundings.

In his field of vision, wolves of various sizes were converging from all parts of Snowridge Pine Forest like a tide—white, black, gray, red... at least five or six hundred wolves.

Ordinary wild wolves, magical wolves surrounded by elemental auras, and even a few ferocious wolves six or seven meters long... it seemed as if the entire wolf population of Snowridge Pine Forest was responding to the Winter Wolf's call, gathering towards this place.

Brian's eyes lit up, not with fear but with joy.
