Chapter: 158 I'm Not an Evil Dragon

The overwhelming heat was more direct and straightforward than any invisible pressure.

Thorn Grand Duke, being an ordinary person, began to sweat on his forehead as he faced Brian up close, the reflection of the blazing fire in his eyes.

The next second, Brian's expression remained unchanged as the fireball beside him shot up into the sky, exploding into rolling flames that lit up the night like daylight, casting a crimson glow on the ground and surrounding buildings.

This was an undisguised threat.

Thorn Grand Duke's face showed a struggle, his eyes constantly shifting. Finally, after about ten seconds, his gaze steadied, and he sighed deeply.

"The Principality of Mocha respects every high-ranking Mage, even our enemies."

"Morton's relics are only being kept here temporarily."

"Since you, Silver Dragon, are a friend of Morton, handing them over to you today will settle this grudge."

Thorn Grand Duke then waved to summon a trusted subordinate and slowly said, "Bring that stone door and hand it over to the Silver Dragon."

Turning his head, Thorn Grand Duke looked back at the silver dragon and said, "Please wait a moment."

Brian nodded, his platinum Dragon's Eyes deep and indifferent, revealing nothing of his current mood.

Time ticked by, and a few minutes later, Brian heard a series of heavy, synchronized footsteps. The ground trembled slightly with each step, causing dust to jump and quiver.

His eyes shifted slightly as he looked toward the source of the sound.

A regiment of fully armored soldiers, led by extraordinary warriors, was advancing toward the towering inner city. From his elevated position, Brian could see the entire army.

After a brief glance, Brian turned his gaze back to Thorn Grand Duke.

Thorn Grand Duke looked apologetic and said, "A dragon appearing in the city has them worried about national security, so they came."

He then looked behind him and said in a deep voice, "Pass the order for General Eric to stand by and not to approach any further."

"Tell them that the Silver Dragon has come with goodwill and is not an enemy of the Principality of Mocha."

"Very sensible..." Brian nodded slightly, remaining silent.

The atmosphere was somewhat oppressive, but only for the surrounding humans.

They were on high alert, while Brian felt no pressure at all. In fact, he found it quite amusing, observing the tense and serious faces with interest.

This is the sorrow of being weak.

When you can't ensure your own safety, the only way to avoid a tragic end is to find a way to meet the demands of the strong. Defensive or threatening actions appear laughable to the strong and have no effect.

However, if Brian were an Evil Dragon with no room for negotiation, the warriors and Spellcasters of the Principality of Mocha would have no choice but to fight to the death.

After waiting for a full half hour, six people finally approached Brian and Thorn Grand Duke, carrying a square object.

These six were all burly warriors with magic flowing through their bodies, not ordinary people.

They moved slowly, each step crushing some of the exquisite floor tiles, leaving cracks and shallow footprints.

Thud, thud, thud... Accompanied by heavy footsteps, they drew closer.

Brian focused his gaze.

The six men were divided into two rows, three in each row, carrying a heavy stone door.

The stone door wasn't very large, three meters high and two meters wide. It looked more like a large stone slab with a straight, tight seam in the middle. The front of the stone door was engraved with many intricate and obscure magical patterns, filled with Runes and spells that only Spellcasters could decipher, along with some simple drawings resembling burning flames.
The stone door didn't seem large, but it appeared to be extremely heavy.

As they approached, the warriors, who were strong enough to lift cauldrons, were already panting heavily, their breaths like those of oxen.

Their faces were flushed red as they struggled to set the stone door upright.

Thud!

The stone door landed heavily, kicking up a circle of dust and causing the ground to tremble slightly.

"A portal to the Lava Demiplane... it really is just a door."

Brian's expression was peculiar as he continued to examine the stone door.

On one side of the heavy stone door, there was a noticeable diamond-shaped recess, clearly designed to fit the lava crystal at the top of the Red Flame Staff perfectly.

Next to this prominent recess, there was a ring of smaller recesses, seemingly meant to hold other items.

At the same time, as the stone door was placed close to Brian, he felt an attraction while holding the Red Flame Staff.

It was as if, with just a thought, the lava crystal at the top of the Red Flame Staff would fly out and embed itself into that recess.

Brian suppressed his urge to open the Lava Demiplane immediately, took a step forward, and under the tense gazes of everyone, moved his body slightly, walking up step by step, then extended his Dragon Claws to grasp a corner of the stone door.

This three-meter-tall, two-meter-wide stone door felt like a toy block in Brian's hands.

He felt a slight heaviness for a moment, his eyes showing a hint of surprise, then he lifted the stone door and weighed it lightly.

This small stone door, made of unknown materials, weighed at least ten tons.

"This is what you need."

Thorn Grand Duke looked at the stone door with a bit of reluctance and said.

This stone door, once opened, could allow one to leave the Prime Material Plane and enter the Lava Demiplane.

These details were learned by the Principality of Mocha from spies in the Walker Principality.

The Lava Demiplane, like other demiplanes, had another name.

Quasi-Elemental Plane or Para-Elemental Plane.

Water, fire, air, earth... Besides these four pure elemental planes, there were other planes with only two elements, which could also give birth to elemental life and form unique geographical environments. These planes were called Quasi-Elemental Planes or Para-Elemental Planes.

Ice Elemental Plane, Radiation Plane, Ore Plane... including the Lava Demiplane, all belonged to this category.

Due to their unique environments, Quasi-Elemental Planes could easily produce extremely precious magical materials and were not as dangerous as pure elemental planes. For beings from the Prime Material Plane, traveling to a Quasi-Elemental Plane meant immense wealth and opportunities.

The Walker Principality was originally just a small neutral town, but thanks to the materials obtained from the Lava Demiplane, it quickly developed into a duchy.

However, no matter how valuable the Lava Demiplane was, without opening the portal, it was just a useless dead object... Thorn Grand Duke consoled himself.

With the key right in front of him, Thorn Grand Duke might have once considered mobilizing high-ranking Mages and elite troops to make a move, but the Principality of Mocha no longer had that capability.

On the other side, after weighing the heavy stone door, Brian glanced at Thorn Grand Duke.

He believed he had been patient and friendly enough.

If Thorn Grand Duke tried any tricks, he would indeed turn this place into ashes.

Brian did not enjoy senseless slaughter, but his determination to obtain the demiplane was unwavering.

A demiplane nearly a billion square kilometers in size was immensely valuable. The people of the Principality of Mocha only wanted some of the precious specialties from the demiplane to enhance their national strength.

But Brian wanted to take the entire demiplane and turn it into his own little world.
