Chapter 33 Fierce Battle

An invisible shockwave burst from the collision point of the hot and cold Dragon's Breaths, spreading in all directions, creating faint cracks in the Ice Layer.

Seeing the Flame Dragon's Breath cast by his opponent, Brian was deeply shocked.

He knew the effects of magic could be incredibly wondrous, but actually witnessing a spell that granted someone the ability to use Dragon's Breath left him somewhat shaken.

Not far away, Tancred watched the clash of Dragon's Breaths between William and Brian with a tense expression, his expression alternating.

He clearly saw that while the Flame Dragon's Breath was unexpectedly powerful, its true strength was no match for a True Dragon's breath, being gradually pushed back by the Frost Breath, inching closer to William on the left.

"Great True Dragon, please kill William quickly. Tancred believes in your strength." Tancred silently prayed for Brian.

Having witnessed the Chief's power firsthand, he had no hope of claiming the Chief's position and could only rely on Brian for a chance.

On the other side, a few seconds later, Brian's Frost Breath was about to engulf William, but while the smaller head spewed Dragon's Breath to counter Brian, the larger head was not idle.

It continuously chanted obscure spells and managed to complete another spell during this time.

[Blink]

With a flash, bright magical light burst from William's body, and he blinked before being engulfed by the Frost Breath, instantly appearing diagonally above Brian.

Brian frowned, raising his head and sweeping Frost Breath, Cold Wind, and Ice Crystals towards William.

But William flipped in mid-air, dodging the obvious breath attack, while the black tentacles extended, grabbing towards Brian's head like a giant four-legged spider.

Dragon's Breath was not very effective in close combat, so Brian stopped wasting magic power and closed his mouth.

His eyes gleamed with a strange light, and his face showed a peculiar expression.

Supported by his sturdy hind legs and tail, he instantly reared up, his Dragon Claws slicing through the air with a sharp, whistling wind, the blade-like claws slashing towards William in mid-air.

The entire process was smooth and fluid, the movements seamlessly connected, as if Brian existed in a completely different time flow from William.

With triple speed activated, Brian had no fear of close combat.

His incredibly fast claw strike deliberately avoided contact with the black tentacles, landing heavily on William's waist and abdomen. The dragon’s muscles burst with power, sending William, who was a head taller than Brian, flying.

Had William not reacted at the last moment, using the black tentacles to barely shield his vital areas, Brian's strike would have killed him on the spot.

Even so, Brian's sharp Dragon Claws left four huge gashes on William's body, exposing the steaming internal organs.

But to Brian's astonishment, as William was sent flying, the black mist veins on his body wriggled frantically, intertwining like living threads, stitching up the horrific wounds.

This ultra-fast regeneration ability was likely one of the effects of the Divine Magic he had just cast.

With the mindset of striking while the iron was hot, Brian, though briefly shocked, quickly and decisively leaped forward, Dragon Wings spread wide, descending upon William with a terrifying momentum.

William blinked, disappearing from his original spot.

Brian landed heavily on the Ice Layer, and with his full force, he instantly shattered the ice, creating a waterfall-like splash.

Realizing he had missed, he emerged from the water, seeing the fully healed William not far away while feeling a bit troubled.

He had noticed that William’s two heads had very clear roles.

One controlled the body to fight Brian, enduring pain, dizziness, and other negative states, while the other focused solely on casting spells, akin to a combination of a warrior and a mage.

But these were minor issues, the most troublesome was that eerie Divine Magic filled with evil aura.

William, on the other hand, was utterly shocked. He had thought dealing with a juvenile White Dragon would be a piece of cake, but Brian's unbelievably fast speed made him almost unable to believe his eyes.

'Is this still a White Dragon? Since when could White Dragons move like the wind, flying at such speeds?’ thought him in his heart.

He had been casting spells continuously, and Divine Magic also took a toll on his body and mind, making prolonged combat impossible. Competing with a dragon in endurance and magic power was a suicidal move.

Realizing this, William's two heads exchanged a glance, showing a resolute expression.

Brian saw this and felt a chill, knowing William might be preparing a big move.

He also sensed that despite appearing to match him blow for blow, William couldn't sustain this state for long.

"Creator of all things, great and exalted Sun God, please bless your follower to defeat this Evil Dragon and offer it as a sacrifice to you." After a heartfelt, devout prayer, William's bigger head simply closed its eyes, eliminating all distractions, and he focused solely on chanting, casting its most powerful spell.

Meanwhile, the smaller head controlled the body which was possessed by the black mist power, vigilantly watching Brian.

As the solemn and grand incantation continued, strands of elemental energy began to gather, and a faint sense of numbness filled the air. Tancred, within the spell's range, touched his sparse hair, finding it standing on end.

Brian sensed the agitated lightning elements and moved immediately, not wanting to give his opponent a chance to cast.

Under his smooth, reflective scales, his steel-like muscles instantly exerted force.

Brian moved on all fours, pouncing like a big cat, using his Dragon Wings to accelerate, moving like a white lightning bolt.

He covered the distance in an instant, spreading his Dragon Wings wide, and unleashing a suffocating Dragon's Might that made William's body momentarily stiffen, even causing a brief pause in his chanting.

In the harsh sound of rushing air, Brian's merciless Dragon Claws fully extended, slashing towards William's larger head.

The bigger head that fully focused on casting a powerful spell couldn't use Blink, but the body that was controlled by the smaller head fiercely countered Brian's attack.

Though it could only barely track Brian's movements, it managed to defend itself by focusing solely on defense.

William’s thick arms raised, blocking Brian's Dragon Claws.

In a series of heavy impacts, Brian's strikes forced William to retreat repeatedly, blood and flesh flying from his arms, exposing the white bones underneath.

Under Brian's relentless triple-speed assault, William appeared extremely battered.

In terms of size, William stood nine feet tall, robust, and muscular, with thick layers of fat, while Brian's shoulder height was about six feet, akin to the difference between a Siberian tiger and an average human.

But Brian wasn't entirely defenseless.

The four black tentacles like four black snakes, with their slimy, ominous eyes all focused on Brian, which sent chills down his spine, making him wary of being touched by them.
