Chapter 34 Thunderstorm

With a sharp sound, black tentacles swiftly wrapped around Brian's dragon head.

Their goal was always clear; they wanted to burrow into Brian's head. This made Brian, who was already quite wary of them, even more cautious, not daring to let them touch him.

Nearly half of his focus was on countering the sudden attacks of the black tentacles.

Time ticked away, and due to the high-intensity battle, Brian had kept himself in an accelerated state. His mind gradually grew weary, and the time power stored within him was reduced to less than fifty percent.

Once the time power he had absorbed from the river water was entirely depleted, and without sufficient replenishment, he would find it difficult to maintain his Acceleration State.

Relying solely on the abilities of an adolescent White Dragon, he was clearly no match for William.

Brian calculated silently, planning to abandon the idea of killing William and retreat temporarily if he couldn't gain a decisive advantage when his time power dropped to around twenty percent.

It wasn't that he couldn't kill William, he just didn't want to get hurt.

If he launched an all-out attack without regard for defense, William would have been torn to pieces by now.

William's behavior was too strange. The black fog-condensed tentacles looked extremely dangerous, making Brian reluctant to touch them.

But just a few seconds later, William's body seemed to be under some immense strain, causing him great pain. The features of his small head were scrunched up, and his defensive actions momentarily stiffened.

Brian keenly seized this flaw in William's defense. He grinned fiercely, his dragon tail sweeping like a steel whip at William's legs, toppling him to the ground.

Before William could get up, Brian's limbs pressed down heavily, his Dragon Claws gripping William's arms, making it difficult for him to move.

At the same time, Brian opened his dragon mouth, gathering icy blue power within, aiming it point-blank at William's bigger head, which had been preparing a spell.

Frost Breath surged out like a river.

At the same time, William struggled violently, the force of a cornered beast shattering the Ice Layer, causing both to fall into the Ice Lake below. The bone-chilling water invigorated Brian, but William was nearly frozen stiff.

This struggle had put William in an even more dangerous position.

Brian's movements were unaffected in the Ice Lake, if not slightly faster. The icy blue Dragon's Breath penetrated the lake water, freezing William's upper body.

If Brian hadn't held William tightly, his body would have been blown away by the powerful impact of the Dragon's Breath.

With his full-powered Dragon's Breath delivered at close range, William could no longer resist. His body, including the black tentacles on his back, was instantly frozen into lifelike Ice Crystal, the thickness of which continued to increase.

Brian could clearly see that William wasn't completely dead yet. The black fog veins on his body squirmed frantically, and the black tentacles on his back trembled, trying to shatter the Ice Crystal and escape as they had the first time.

But just as a Saint never fell for the same trick twice, Brian continuously unleashed his frost power, giving William no chance to resist.

William's life force plummeted and soon dissipated entirely, marking his complete death.

Staring at the finally dead William, Brian let out a long sigh of relief. When he came to his senses, his throat felt icy and dry as if an ice block was stuck in it.

This was the side effect of using Frost Breath continuously for an extended period, ignoring his body's limits.

He sighed. "I'm still too young. If I grow a bit more, I could easily kill this guy with Plunder Time Line."

Brian felt an urgent need to increase his strength.

This world was too dangerous. What he thought was just an ordinary William turned out to wield strange Divine Magic and powerful spells. His luck was indeed quite poor.

After a brief contemplation, Brian grabbed William's body and swam up from the Ice Lake, breaking through the surface and standing once again on the Ice Layer.

When he emerged, the sight he saw made his eyes widen in amazement.

About over a thousand feet up in the sky, a massive dark thundercloud, dozens of feet in diameter, had appeared, crackling with silver Lightning and absorbing elemental energy from the surrounding air, growing even more imposing.

[Thunderstorm Spell]

Brain asked, "Did he complete the spell before dying? The spectacle is impressive, but without control, it's no longer a threat."

As for the intelligence Tancred had provided earlier, Brian no longer considered it. Judging by Tancred's reaction, it was clear he didn't know William was this powerful.

William had hidden his true strength well, not even revealing it to his tribe, likely to guard against turncoats like Tancred.

William was indeed cautious.

Brian rubbed his head, easing his fatigue while gazing at the mighty dark thundercloud in the sky.

The spell that had sealed the sky was over. With a flap of his Dragon Wings, Brian floated three feet off the ground, but he didn't immediately fly away. Instead, he watched the lightning-filled thundercloud with interest.

He wasn't directly beneath the thundercloud. It seemed that William had cast the spell in a hurry in his final moments, causing it to drift several hundred feet away.

Soon the thundercloud had absorbed enough elemental energy, and a rumbling thunder sound emanated from within.

It was like someone beating a drum beside the ear, deafening, with a hint of scorching in the air.

A thick Lightning bolt struck down. Though it lasted only a moment, it lit up the night like day.

With the first Lightning bolt, the spell officially commenced. One bolt after another, carrying heat and paralysis, fell continuously, driving away the surrounding darkness and turning the polar night into day. The thundercloud rumbled and flashed incessantly.

After eight minutes, the Lightning storm finally ended, and the thick dark thundercloud gradually dissipated.

Brian watched this Simulated Divine Power Spell with a gleam in his eyes, feeling a rising sense of admiration.

He only knew the Pseudo-magical abilities and supernatural powers he was born with. True magic remained a profound and unknown field to him. And he had a natural curiosity and desire to explore the unknown like his fascination with ancient, time-worn objects.
