Chapter: 143 Dangerous Territory
Brianna sought help from him and Luna to deal with the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon because this new serpent dragon species was too close to her territory. Brianna's territory was located on a snow-capped mountain nearby, and like Brian, she enjoyed the expansive view from high places.
This cold coniferous forest was originally a hunting ground Brianna frequented, almost bordering her territory. In such a location, no True Dragon could tolerate the presence of a fierce serpent dragon species.
Especially since Brianna, one-on-one, was likely no match for the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon. A ferocious and powerful serpent dragon species posed a significant safety threat to her.
Brianna had been troubled by this for some time, even considering relocating her territory. However, the idea of a True Dragon being scared away by a serpent dragon species was too humiliating for her.
Previously, she hadn't thought she could truly drive it away. But now, with Luna and Brian's help in capturing the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon, she suddenly didn't know what to do next.
Upon hearing Brian's inquiry, Brianna weakly responded, "Should we find a glacier crevasse and throw it in?"
"If it runs far enough, it shouldn't come back to my place, right?"
Brian and Luna were silent for a moment, surprised that Brianna hadn't thought through the aftermath.
Luna shook her delicate silver dragon head and said helplessly, "Serpent dragon species are very vengeful and hold grudges. It's said they can remember an enemy until death, and when they die naturally, they curse the enemy they hate the most."
"And it can fly, so throwing it into a glacier crevasse isn't a good option."
No one wanted to bear a curse from an Evil God. Serpent dragon species weren't afraid of death; it's said their souls are taken by the Evil God and enter the divine realm after death. Such a troublesome creature, unless there's a way to break the curse, even legendary beings don't want to deal with them. Being hated by them is not a good thing.
Brian nodded in agreement, "Given the nature of serpent dragon species, it would probably come back and... cause you trouble."
"You wouldn't want to be singled out by it."
Brianna looked down at the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon, its face still ferocious even while frozen, and shivered. She anxiously said, "So what do we do? We can't let it use a death curse, and we can't shake it off..."
She furrowed her brows tightly and finally said helplessly, "Do I really have to give up my territory? I don't want to. I've lived here for decades, and being scared away by a serpent dragon would make me a laughingstock among True Dragons."
Most True Dragons look down on serpent dragon species. Being driven out of one's territory by a serpent dragon is the ultimate humiliation.
Brianna's gaze shifted between Brian and Luna, and she said, "Alright, alright, you guys won't spread this around, right? Let's throw it far away first. If it insists on coming back, I'll change my territory then."
Luna nodded slightly, "Let's try that first. If it doesn't work, we can talk to it."
Brianna angrily knocked on the frozen Frost Forest Serpent Dragon and said, "I tried talking to it before, but it doesn't listen to a word. It's completely unreasonable."
Brian looked down at the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon, its eyes still full of malice and obvious hostility.
Those eyes seemed to say, "Just you wait, when I get out, you won't have a good time!"
"This is just like a honey badger among dragons... a honey badger with spikes."
Brian had this impression of the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon.
He pondered for a few seconds, then turned to Brianna and said, "How about this, temporarily place it in my territory, and I'll handle it."
Brian had a keen interest in rare and unique creatures, and the serpent dragon species was undoubtedly one of them. The number of serpent dragons had been dwindling, and this Frost Forest Serpent Dragon might be one of the last few remaining on the Noah Continent. If it weren't for their formidable strength and death curse, their habits would have likely led to their complete extinction long ago. Even so, they were not far from extinction.
Additionally, when Brian thought of the Evil God associated with the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon, a dark shadow involuntarily appeared in his mind—a black Sun Sculpture adorned with tentacles and eyes. The mere impression of it in his mind was filled with ominous and evil undertones.
Brian's gaze shifted as he sensed the time imprint, then he discovered that the time imprint branded on the black Sun Sculpture was still obediently in place, which reassured him.
Meanwhile, Brianna, feeling a bit embarrassed, said, "If we put it in your territory and it refuses to leave, won't you be in trouble?"
Brian smiled lightly and said calmly, "Trust me, it's just a serpent dragon species. I have my ways of dealing with it."
A death curse? The Breath of Time could make it wish it were dead. Moreover, Brian's body was constantly being cleansed and washed by the River of Time. Whether the so-called death curse could even affect him was still an unknown.
As he spoke, Brian's words exuded strong confidence, combined with the unique immortal aura of a Time Dragon. This extraordinary demeanor momentarily stunned Brianna and Luna.
Brian snapped back to reality and, noticing the oddity, shook his head almost imperceptibly. "It's decided then, let's go."
With a deep voice, Luna and Brianna's gazes cleared, and they both softly said, "Alright, we'll follow your lead."
Brian grabbed the head of the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon and, along with the Silver Dragon and Crystal Dragon, flew towards the Dragon's Lair on the snow-capped mountain.
Before long, the three massive True Dragons arrived above the small snow-capped mountain, looking down at the buildings and creatures below. The Winter Wolves of the Wolfheart Clan and the previously lazy ferocious frost tigers and wolves simultaneously looked up, noticing the arrival of Brian.
Some Kobolds immediately knelt on the ground, shouting in dragon language, "Great Eternal Dragon, please allow us to express our highest respect to you."
Brian, not appreciating the dog-like dragon language flattery, ignored the Kobolds' sycophancy.
"Eternal Dragon?" Brianna flicked her dragon tail and muttered.
"This is one of my territories," Brian explained succinctly. "Eternal Dragon is my title."
Luna and Brianna were a bit surprised, "Isn't this the location of a Frost Giant tribe?"
"Where did the Frost Giant tribe go?"
The territory, now transformed by the Kobolds and Minotaur Shamans, looked completely different from before, with no trace of the Frost Giant tribe. If it weren't for the extraordinary memory of True Dragons, they wouldn't have been so sure this was the original location of the Frost Giant tribe.
"I wiped them out."
Luna looked at Brian, then down at the former Frost Giant tribe, and pondered, "I remember there were quite a few of them, and there was an extremely old Frost Giant among them... It seems I underestimated your current strength."
Brian smiled modestly, "Just lucky."
He looked towards an open space and said, "Place the Frost Forest Serpent Dragon over there. I'll take care of it from here."
