Chapter 46 Large Dragon.

The Tulip Grand Duke of Walker Principality, a loyalist to the kingdom, found himself at a disadvantage in the conflict with Mocha Principality, which had secured the aid of a Red Dragon.

Unable to compete with their adversary on the elevated battlefield, Walker Principality suffered successive defeats, ultimately resulting in the capture of its capital city today.

A unit of a thousand-strong Mocha Iron Cavalry broke through the streets, led by two high-ranking Mages, and advanced towards the Tulip Grand Duke's castle.

However, before they could take action, an elderly Mage, surrounded by fiery Elemental Super Magic, ascended into the sky with two frightened children, a boy and a girl. The Sky Lock spell that had been set in place had no effect on the old Mage.

The two high-ranking Mages of the Mocha Principality quickly cast spells to give chase. As the pursuit and escape unfolded, they gradually headed northward.

The night was eerily quiet.

After nearly a month of sporadic light snow, large flakes accompanied by howling Cold Winds fell from the sky, icy and bone-chilling, reducing visibility to less than three feet and making it hard to distinguish between humans and animals.

In such weather, most creatures of the extreme north Ice Field would choose to stay in their nests, waiting for the snowstorm to subside before venturing out to hunt.

Only when their stored heat was nearly exhausted and hunger became unbearable would they risk leaving their nests in such harsh conditions.

In a certain part of the extreme north Ice Field, along a winding ice river.

The usually calm river surface was now frozen solid, covered with a thick layer of ice following a sudden temperature plunge.

The ice was sturdy enough for several-ton Terror Lizards to race across.

Surrounding the ice-covered river was a modest collection of buildings, the Arctic Ice Spirits appeared mostly cheerful, frolicking in the midst of the fierce snowstorm.

This kind of weather was their favorite for them. The abundant water elements nourished their bodies which formed of ice crystals, making the Arctic Ice Spirits stronger. Their unique visual perception could penetrate the blizzard, becoming their advantage.

Next to the Arctic Ice Spirits' houses, simple sheds were built where Terror Lizards and White Hounds resided.

The White Hounds, ice-type Magical Creatures, were unbothered by the cold, while the fire-type Terror Lizards, with fire elements coursing through their bodies, felt sluggish and lacked energy in such weather.

Fortunately, there was no requirement to assemble a Hunting Team and venture out, as the Lord of the area was in a deep slumber.

Two days later, in the tranquil ice river Territory, all the Arctic Ice Spirits, relishing the cold amid the snowstorm, suddenly froze in place.

Simultaneously, they turned their gaze towards a specific frozen section of the river, expressions of reverence spreading across their faces.

The drowsy Terror Lizards opened their eyes in confusion, while the White Hounds howled excitedly.

Inside the Dragon's Lair, a colossal white beast clad in pristine ice armor shifted slightly, its eyelids quivering before gradually opening to unveil its dazzling platinum Gold Dragon eyes. A dominating Dragon's Might surged from the white beast, sweeping through the area like a hurricane, leaving all nearby creatures frozen stiff and immobile.

After a month of slumber, Brian woke up.

He shook his head to shake off the remaining drowsiness, his sharp Dragon's Eyes scanning the surroundings.

What had previously appeared as a spacious Dragon's Lair now seemed much smaller, almost cramped.

Brian had the sensation that if he were to stand up, he could nearly reach the Ice Crystal ceiling. It wasn't the Dragon's Lair that had shrunk; he had grown.

Looking at his reflection in the Ice Crystal-adorned walls, Brian observed his current form: a body adorned with mirror-like pure white scales, mysterious black scales encircling his neck, sharp Dragon Claws, broad wings with distinctive membranes, and four backward-curving dragon horns...

Dragon horns?

Brian was momentarily taken aback, realizing a significant transformation had occurred.

His appearance hadn't changed much, just that his scales had become more rugged, with more spikes on his face armor, dragon arms, and tail. The most significant change was the growth of dragon horns.

Brian raised a Dragon Claw, touching the dragon horns on his head, a satisfied expression appearing on his face.

Though Brian was a dragon who had always regretted not having dragon horns.

Not only him, but his Dragon Brothers and Sisters, and even the White Dragon Mother, lacked dragon horns because White Dragons inherently didn't have them.

However, now two sturdy white dragon horns extended backward from his brow, with two smaller horns close by, also extending backward, creating a majestic appearance.

At the same time, Brian evaluated his current size.

To his surprise, he had increased from twenty-four feet to thirty-six feet during this slumber, placing him in the category of large dragons. Dragon sizes were evidently classified.

Measuring between eighteen to thirty feet was considered medium, while thirty to fifty feet fell into the large category, and fifty to eighty feet was classified as extra-large.

The White Dragon Mother, standing at thirty-six feet, also belonged to the large dragon category. Brian could only attain this size as a young White Dragon.
