Chapter: 177 The Enchanting Brian
Time flew by, and the sun set twice in the blink of an eye. At this moment, during the evening, the sunset was as fiery as flames. From the highest point in the central city, looking outward, the entire Vixen City seemed to be enveloped in a faint reddish hue.
The streets were bustling with people, some hurrying along, others strolling leisurely, gathering in small groups to chat and walk, full of the breath of life.
Amidst the crowd, a young man walked side by side with an elegant blonde woman with fair skin. The young man's handsome face was like the morning sun, overshadowing the evening glow and drawing frequent glances from those around. He was tall and athletic, with a head of silver hair, draped in a luxurious high-collared noble coat, exuding an indescribable ancient charm.
What was most striking were his platinum-colored eyes and the unique aura he radiated. Calm and serene, like an ancient breeze blowing through the veil of time, gently landing in the present, yet also like an echo from a distant future, stirring ripples in the flow of time, merging with the moment.
The past and the future intertwined, converging together, finally captured in his deep and mesmerizing platinum eyes.
"Brian, I didn't expect your human form and demeanor to be so extraordinary."
"Look, almost all the humans around are drawn to you."
Luna, who had passed through Vixen City this morning, glanced at Brian and said with a light laugh.
Brian originally had no intention of taking human form. After using the transformation spell, his immense power was confined to a small human body, making him feel a bit uncomfortable. He cast the transformation spell today because he encountered Luna, who said she would only stay for a moment and wanted to stroll around Vixen City. Since she met Brian, she hoped he could accompany her. Moreover, she was very curious about Brian's human form.
Under Luna's persuasion, Brian finally cast the transformation spell, satisfying her curiosity and strolling with her through the bustling streets of Vixen City.
For the first time in his human form among the public, Brian ignored the frequent and fervent glances directed at him. The atmosphere in the Mocha Principality was relatively open, with many girls on the streets not shy about showing themselves. When they saw Brian, they did not hide their enthusiastic and excited expressions, whispering with their friends beside them.
It wasn't just the women; the men were equally drawn to Brian. Normally, when faced with a superior peer, one might feel some envy or even jealousy. However, due to the vast disparity, Brian found that there were not many envious or jealous glances. Most were looks of admiration, and a small portion had the same fervent gaze as the women.
If it weren't for Luna by his side, Brian would have been approached and questioned countless times along the way. Even so, occasionally, a bold and outgoing girl would come up to ask for Brian's contact information and address, causing Luna to chuckle lightly.
After it happened several times, Brian grew a bit annoyed and deliberately released a faint Dragon's Might, causing an inexplicable fear in those around him, deterring them from approaching.
In the bustling crowd, the more crowded areas parted like waves before Brian and Luna, closing again behind them, though few noticed this anomaly.
"Are you just passing through Vixen City, or are you here to avenge Morton?"
"This city belongs to the country responsible for your friend's death."
While observing the surrounding scenery, Brian asked.
Speaking of Morton, the smile on Luna's face faded a bit. She was silent for a moment, then sighed softly and said, "I've known him for decades. Although I later left human society, we still kept in touch occasionally. To say I'm not angry about his death would be impossible."
Pausing, she glanced around at the surrounding crowd, her voice serious, "However, Morton's death, as I said at the beginning, was not a personal vendetta but a result of national conflict."
"If I avenge him, it would be a disaster that these innocent people around us cannot bear."
Brian nodded, knowing that Luna had a kind heart.
"What about just targeting Thorn Grand Duke?"
Luna gave a faint smile, her gaze shifting to Brian's profile. Under the glow of the sunset, his skin had a subtle sheen, and he was looking straight ahead.
"This city is now under the protection of the great Eternal Dragon. If I target Thorn Grand Duke, wouldn't that cause trouble for you?"
She teased.
Brian's expression remained unchanged as he calmly said, "He's just a human. I haven't made any contract with him. The so-called protection is merely allowing him to use my name."
"If you want to avenge him, you don't need to consider my feelings."
Luna shook her head and said, "Without a leader, this country would still fall into chaos, and in the end, the innocent and weak would bear the brunt."
"Besides, I've never intended to interfere in the conflicts between human nations."
Brian pondered for a moment, his steps pausing slightly. He turned his gaze to Luna and curiously asked, "What about Morton's two descendants, Amos and Lilith?"
"When they grow up and want to take revenge on the enemies who destroyed their country, what will you do?"
Brian had a keen eye for people. When Amos mentioned the Mocha Principality, the flames of vengeance in the boy's eyes were almost overflowing. He wasn't sure about Lilith, but he imagined she wouldn't let it go either.
Especially since both of them were exceptionally talented and had the potential to become powerful Spellcasters. Growing up under the protection of the silver dragon, it wouldn't be difficult for them to disrupt a nation.
Luna had sought Brianna to teach them enchantment spells and Brian to teach them evocation spells. With such conditions and their talents, it was almost inevitable that they would become high-ranking Mages in the future.
Luna was silent for a few seconds, finally biting her lip and gently shaking her head, "I don't know."
"I don't want to see too many people die because of this in the future, but I have no right to make them give up their revenge."
"Whether they choose to let go of their hatred or vow to seek revenge, I will respect their decision."
Brian nodded slightly. Luna's answer was within his expectations. This silver dragon had a very good nature. She was kind but never imposed her kindness on others. This was quite rare.
"Then let things take their course. The future matters can be left to the future versions of us."
"Thinking too much now is pointless."
Hearing Brian's response, Luna rolled her eyes at him and said, "I thought you might have some good advice for me."
Brian laughed heartily and said, "I won't get involved in your matters."
His laughter subsided, and he said seriously, "But remember to warn those two little ones not to provoke me in the future, or I won't show any mercy."
Seeing Brian's serious expression and hearing his stern tone, Luna also responded seriously, "Don't worry. You didn't trouble them that day, so they don't hold any hostility towards you. In the future, when I have Amos learn from you, you'll be able to see his thoughts for yourself."
Brian nodded and said calmly, "That's for the best."
The two True Dragons, in their human forms, strolled through the streets as time quietly passed by. Soon, the sun set, and the moon rose silently. The bright moonlight bathed Vixen City in a faint silver glow.
Because there was a banquet celebration planned for tomorrow night, the curfew in Vixen City had been lifted recently, and the whole city was celebrating, so there were many people out and about even at night.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Bright fireworks shot up from somewhere, blossoming into colorful sparks in the sky. Brian looked up at the sky, listening to the laughter of the crowd around him, feeling a bit dazed for a moment.
The last time he saw fireworks and was amidst a crowd was in his previous life. This scene stirred some deeply buried memories in Brian, but they quickly settled back down.
