Chapter 16 My former kind are now the ones I must be most wary of

Although it wasn't his first flight, the feeling of freedom in the high sky always brought Brian joy.

Moments later, Brian reached the edge of White Dragon Mother's Territory.

The area where White Dragon Mother resided was generally an open plain environment, except for a thousand-meter-high Ice Cliff. Thousands of feet to the south lay a vast mountain range composed of countless mountains and hills where was home to numerous Magical Creatures, humanoid beings, and subterranean monsters.

Brian was flying toward this faintly visible mountain range.

If possible, he didn't want to approach the mountain range because it was more dangerous than the northern Ice Field.

Brian had once crossed the Ice Cliff, moving further north into the deeper Ice Field, but the further north he went, the colder and more barren it became, with very few living creatures.

Brian wasn't confident he could find enough food there.

He had a large appetite, needing to eat several times his body weight each week. Going deeper into the barren Ice Field, he might starve to death if not killed by predators.

A Time Dragon dying of starvation would be a joke among all Intelligent Creatures.

Though he was heading toward the Southern Mountain Range, it was only to find a suitable place. Brian had no intention of leaving the northern Ice Field until he had enough strength.

In this world, the most dangerous creatures were actually humans.

Human adventurers, one of their favorite titles being Dragon Slayer, would swarm once an Evil Dragon was discovered, eager to become heroes.

A dragon's body, whether teeth, claws, or scales, was prime magical material, representing untold wealth in the human world.

"My former kind are now the ones I must be most wary of."

Brian deeply felt the capriciousness of fate, his mind drifting back to Earth.

He thought that once he became strong enough, he might return to Earth and show off his form.

Just the thought of it felt incredibly cool.
Different planes had vastly different material rules. Since Earth's material rules were similar to those of the Prime Material Plane, it was likely somewhere within the Prime Material Plane.

In Brian's current understanding, planes referred to collections of countless worlds.

These worlds varied in size and shape, ranging from a piece of land to a planet, a galaxy, or even a vast universe.

The relationship between planes and worlds was like a large bubble containing countless smaller bubbles.

The membranes separating these 'bubbles' were called Crystal Walls, and between the Crystal Walls was an amber-like fluid called Arcane Power. Besides powerful artifacts like Teleportation Arrays and Magic Ships, and certain special magics, some powerful creatures could traverse worlds and planes directly.

Time Dragons were one such species.

Brian had a premonition that once he became powerful, he would definitely be able to traverse through the River of Time, even traveling to the past or future.

But for now, he was just a small Newborn Dragon worried about being driven out.

Brian hovered in the sky, scanning the earth below for a suitable hiding place.

After a moment, his eyes brightened as he spotted an area.

About fifteen kilometers from his current position was a winding, small ice river.

All dragons were amphibious creatures, so Brian thought he might live underwater for a while.

Creating a nest in the riverbed would offer excellent concealment and safety.
With this in mind, Brian decided to scout the area near the small ice river to see if there were any formidable creatures like Frost Giants or Winter Wolves.

He glanced back at the Dragon's Lair, took a deep breath, and left the White Dragon Mother's Territory.

Once he crossed an invisible boundary, the ever-present pressure of a powerful dragon disappeared.
